Jackie was a loving, caring mother who spent many hours behind the wheel of the family car driving her six children to and from various school and church functions. While living in Eau Claire, she was active in the PTA, raising funds by participating in various musical reviews. She was also a member of the Junior League where her melodious voice was enjoyed by many as she shared her talent taking the lead in musicals sponsored by the Junior League.

From 1989, until her retirement in 1994, she was known as "The Candy Lady" at Gimbals Department Store, East Towne Mall.
Attending church was a very important part of her life and she especially enjoyed worshiping, with her family, at First Lutheran Church in Stoughton.
Jackie is survived by her six children, Susan (Richard) Albright of Stoughton, Wisconsin, Toni (John) Penny of Dayton, Ohio, Cynthia Clifton and fiancé, Gary Staehli, of Fremont, California, Deborah Shell of Nashville, Tennessee, Lori (Carl) Burchard of Sarasota, Florida, and James (Melly) Selvig of Alamosa, Colorado; grandchildren, Kathy, Daniel, Billy, Laura, Kristine, Matthew, Michael, Jennifer, Jessica, Jenny, Heidi, Melissa, Kristen, Jill, Sid, Mark, Scott, Corey and Melody. The generations continue with 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Warren and Anne Mann; sisters, Mildred Hagen Strang and Shirley Johnson; and son, David George.
Jackie has a close knit family and she imparted to them the common thread of unconditional love. Her children are grateful that they were able to spend much of the summer with her.
A memorial service will be held at a later date with a gathering of friends and family.
Memorials can be sent to Hospice Care of Dane County or First Lutheran Church, Stoughton, Wis.
