Donald E. Seymour
March 03, 1931 - March 24, 2020
Donald Eugene Seymour, age 89, peacefully passed away of natural causes at Divine Savior Hospital in Portage, Wisconsin, on March 24, 2020.
He was born in Madison, Wisconsin, on March 3, 1931 and graduated from Madison Central High School in 1949.
He married his wife Irene in December of 1959.
He is survived by his loving wife Irene (Meier) Seymour, son Kevin (Lori) Seymour, daughter Kimberly Seymour, grandson Owen Seymour granddaughter Sidney Seymour, sister Nancy Campbell, and his dear friend Jeff Krohn.
He was preceded in death by his father James Everett Seymour, mother Hazel Archie Seymour, and brother Robert Seymour. He wore many hats throughout his life.
He served in the US Army (stationed in Japan) during the Korean War.
He worked at Nine Quarter-Circle Ranch in Montana, and the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, as well as working as a sheet metal worker and owner of his own business, Seymour Supply.
His passions included photography, poetry, music, and reading, as well as the simple things such as enjoying birds at his feeder, watching PBS, and exploring the world of YouTube.
He loved burros. His years of doing ranch work in various locations in the west were especially meaningful to him.
On the back of a 1954 photo of him on a horse named Queen he said: "Mounted on Queen - an excellent mountain horse, with power and heart to spare."
We will remember him in the very same way, with power and heart to spare.

Ethel E. Blystone
April 18, 1927 - March 21, 2020
Ethel E. Blystone, age 92, Passed away Saturday, March 21, 2020 at Our House Senior Living in Portage. She was the daughter of Roy and Ula Zo (Nichols) Blystone.
Ethel want to school in Portage. She then went to Milwaukee, in her teens and worked in several factories before retiring from Briggs and Stratton. She moved to St. Petersburg, FL, and finally returned back to Portage. She liked to travel, visiting friends and family, even in Germany and Italy. She loved reading and putting together jigsaw puzzles and was always helping people when she could.
Ethel is survived by Donald (Melinda) Blystone of Oregon, Bernice (Bob) Hartwig of Madison, Sister-in-laws, Nancy Blystone, Sue Blystone, and many nieces and nephews.
Ethel is preceded in death by both her parents, her brothers Byron, Gordon, Roy, Edward, Arthur, Riley, Carl and sisters Irma Bortz, Doris Heinrich, Clara Vanderhoef, and Betty Blystone.
A private family graveside service will be held in the future.
The family would like to thank Our House Senior Living staff and Nephew Emery Benson for the years of care.

Doris Elaine Anacker

Portage, Wisconsin - Doris Elaine Anacker, age 81, of Portage, WI, died on Monday August 1, 2016 at Three Pillars Senior Living Community in Dousman, WI.
Doris was born on December 21, 1934 to Walter and Evelyn (Walkerhauser) Schmidt.
She was a lifelong resident of Portage, graduated from Portage High School the class of 1953
The week after graduation her and Alfred were married in the St. John’s Lutheran Church in Portage, and have remained married for 63 years.
Doris was an excellent seamstress, she was employed at the Wevenberg shoe factory as a sewer, but later in life sewed for enjoyment. Doris was an avid plate collector, and had plates of all 50 states displayed in her home. She enjoyed the time spent with friends over coffee and playing cards.
Doris will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Doris is survived by her Husband, Alfred of Dousman; Son, Steve (Lori) Anacker of Dousman, Grandchildren Jon (Stephanie); Matthew (Lindsay); Michael (Fiancée Nicole); great-grandchildren Jack, Nellie, Carter, Colden. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Willis Schmidt.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 5, 2016 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Portage, Rev. Greg Hovland will be officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to time of service.
Valerie Jean Gunderson

Valerie Jean Gunderson, age 82, of Rural Ettrick, WI, died on Saturday, June 27, 2020 at the Gundersen Tri-County Hospital in Whitehall, WI
Valerie was born on April 7, 1938 in Whitehall, WI, to Lawrence and Lucille (Mathson) Mattson. She married Marlin Gunderson on September 6, 1958 at Zion Lutheran Church in Blair, WI.
Valerie is survived by her husband Marlin, two sons Geoffrey (Sue Thorson) Gunderson and Dwight Gunderson, a granddaughter Kathryn Gunderson and two sisters Melanie Olson and Natalie Hawash.
A drive-by visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 2, 2020 at the North Beaver Creek Faith Lutheran Cemetery in Rural Ettrick, WI. A private family graveside service will be held following the visitation.
Robert L. Rehdantz
March 23, 1929 - April 02, 2020
Robert L. Rehdantz, 91, of Portage, passed away at home with family on 4/2/2020. Bob was born 3/23/1929 in Madison, to Paul and Esther (Staudenmeyer) Rehdantz. He grew up in the Portage area and graduated from Portage High School in 1946.
Bob proudly served his country from 1950–1953 during the Korean Conflict. He spent 14 months in Germany.
Bob met Cloteen Jo Balliet on 8/8/1947 and married her on 9/22/1950 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church. They had a loving partnership for 73 years.
Bob was a man of many talents, carpenter, farmer, square dancer (Hall of Fame Caller), handyman, garage door repairman and 4-H leader.
Over the years he enjoyed: Working on his Model A Ford. Going to the casino. Playing Euchre. Square dancing and round dancing, hunting, fishing and cutting wood. Most of all he loved helping people.
Bob became a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in 1947. He served on counsel, sang in the choir, mowed the lawn and cooked the brats. He also loved doing all other odd jobs around the church.
Bob had 3 special buddies. Dr. Paul Slavik, Chuck Mitchell, and Emil (Hans) Abegglin (deceased). They loved fishing, hunting, cutting /splitting wood and going for lunch.
He was preceded in death by Paul and Esther (Staudenmeyer) Rehdantz, brothers George and Gordon and son Tony.
Bob is survived by his wife Cloe, daughter Christie (John) Rhinehart, granddaughter Jody (Tim) Tilton, great-grandkids Jocelyn and Tobyn Tilton. His extended family Jeffery, Meghan, Jennifer, Saidey, John and Jesse Schwartz. Sister-in-law Shirley (Gordon) Rehdantz and many nieces and nephews.
A private Christian burial will be held. There will be a celebration of life to be held in the future.
All memorials may be made to Bethlehem Lutheran Church.

Angela Marie Larson
March 14, 1982 - June 05, 2016
Portage, WI - Angela Marie Larson, 34, of Portage, passed away Sunday June 5, 2016 as a result of a car accident.
Angela was born on March 14, 1982 at Divine Savior Hospital in Portage, the daughter of Pamela Kluth and Thomas Larson.
Angela loved her three kids more than anything. She loved spending time with family and friends. She had a passion for helping others. Angie will be missed by so many.
Angie leaves behind her three children; Brady, Kylie and Emma. Her mom Pam Kluth; Dad Thomas (Deb) Larson, Grandma Rita, sister Michelle, brother Billy Jack and sister Tonya. Many aunts, uncles, cousins and many close friends.
Angela is preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, maternal grandfather, brothers Brent and Michael, uncle Randy and uncle Jerry.
Visitation will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. on Saturday June 11, 2016 with the service at 4:00 p.m. at the Kratz Funeral Home (Formerly Picha Funeral Home).
Gary R. Weisenberger

Ettrick, Wisconsin - Gary Ralph Weisenberger, age 59, of rural Ettrick, died on Saturday, June 18, 2016
Gary was born on September 11, 1956 in Rice Lake, WI, to Ralph and Loretta (Marsolek) Weisenberger.
Gary loved life, he loved being a farmer and was a lifelong entrepreneur, his favorite things to do were to look at his cattle, and watch his crops grow. Gary enjoyed driving school bus and was a proud supporter of all Blair-Taylor athletics. Gary was kindly thought of as being a ”frugal” man, and he could fix just about anything. Gary always had time for everyone, formed his own opinion and drew his own conclusion. He enjoyed his time hunting or fishing. Most of all he was a very proud grandpa.
Gary is survived by his wife Michelle of Ettrick; Daughter Amber (Tim) Radatz of Pigeon Falls, son Dwight (Christa Sokup) of Blair; grandchildren Wilson and Nolan; His Mother Loretta of Blair; Sister Sharon (Edwin) Koch of St. Cloud, FL; grandmother Tracy Marsolek of Blair; parents-In-law Darrel and Arlene Lorch of Blair; and a brother-in-law Jeffrey Lorch of Chaska, MN.
Gary was preceded in death by his father Ralph N. Weisenberger Jr.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday June 23, 2016 in the Blair-Taylor High School Gym. Pastor Terry Lorenz and Father Woodrow Pace will be officiating. Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday June 22, 2016 at the school. A gathering time will be held one hour prior to the service on Thursday.
Burial will be held at the Rest Haven Cemetery in Blair following the service.
