NEW LISBON, Wis. - Stella May Mouritsen, 94, formerly of the New Lisbon area, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 7, 1997, at the Heritage Nursing Manor of Elroy, Wis.
Funeral services will be held at the Hare Funeral Home Friday at 10:30 a.m.
Burial to follow in the New Lisbon City Cemetery.
Visitation at the funeral home 6 to 8 p.m. today.
A vigil will be conducted at 7:45 p.m.
Hazel Lee Malin
Hazel Lee Malin, age 89, died Tuesday, October 7, 1997, at Bethany Riverside.
She was born December 20, 1907, in rural Westby, Wis., to Emer and Hilda (Melby) Lee. She attended high school in Westby, and was a 1930 graduate of the Grandview School of Nursing. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
She is survived by a son, Dr. Frank R. Malin and his wife, Doreen of San Francisco, Calif.; and two granddaughters, Catherine and Jordan.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Frank R. Malin; her parents and two brothers.
Memorials may be given to St. Paul's Lutheran Church. The family will have a private graveside service.

Dr. Gaylord A Rybolt
Dr. Gaylord A. Rybolt, age 60, of 2705 Longview Court, La Crosse, died Monday, October 6, 1997, while traveling in Aurora, Colorado.
He was born January 31, 1937, in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. On May 15, 1965, he married Esther Schiefelbein in Madison, Wisconsin. Dr. Rybolt received his Doctor of Philosophy degree from the University of Missouri in Columbia. He was employed as a Psychologist at the Tomah Veteran's Hospital for 22 years until his retirement in May of 1996. Dr. Rybolt served as a member of the La Crosse School Board for nine years, eight of which he served as president. He was a member of the Franciscan-Skemp Healthcare Community Board and a musician with the La Crosse Da Capo Band.
Survivors are his wife, Esther; a son, Andrew from Tucson, Arizona, a son, Daniel and his wife, Michelle from Prairie du Sac, Wisconsin; a daughter, Mary and her husband, Tom Asenbrenner; and a grandson, Alex Asenbremmer of St. Paul, Minnesota. He is also survived by his mother, Katherine Rybolt of Chester, Illinois; and a sister, Ann Lahr and her husband, Donald of Annandale, Virginia.
He was preceded in death by his father in 1990.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, October 11, 1997, at the Dickinson Family Funeral Home, 809 Gillette Street, La Crosse. The Reverend Al Townsend will officiate.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday, October 10, 1997.
Burial will be in the Gate of Heaven Cemetery, La Crosse.
Memorials to local charities are preferred in lieu of flowers.
Emma Marie Clements
Emma Marie Clements, 86, of La Crosse, died at the Bethany-St. Joseph Care Center on Tuesday, October 7, 1997.
She was born in the Town of Greenfield, La Crosse County, on July 10, 1911, to Henry and Anna (Kendhammer) Kreibich. She married Emil F. Clements on October 1, 1930, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church on St. Joseph Ridge. He preceded her in death on January 14, 1989.
Emma helped operate the South Side Motel in La Crosse for 26 years. She was a long time member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church in La Crosse and was a member of the St. Anne's Altar Society. She later became a charter member of St. Pius X Catholic Church in La Crosse and was an active member of the Parish Council of Catholic Women.
Emma is survived by four daughters, Dorothy (Eugene) Hohlfeld of Stoddard, Wis., Catherine Meier of Perris, Calif., Beverly (Thomas) Tormey of Madison, Wis., and Shirley (James) Fema of La Crosse; three sons, Lloyd (Mary) Clements, James (Clara) Clements and Larry (Judy) Clements, all of La Crosse; 31 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Ida (George) Servais of La Crosse; one brother, Clarence (Lucille) Kreibich of La Crescent; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by four grandchildren; two brothers, Carl and Henry Kreibich; one sister, Thresia Servais; and an infant sister.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, October 11, 1997, at 11 a.m. from St. Pius X Catholic Church. Rev. Joseph J. Rafacz will officiate. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Schumacher-Kish Funeral Home of La Crosse on Friday from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. where a rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. and at the church on Saturday from 10:30 a.m. until the time of services.
Alvina L. Lenser
Alvina L. Lenser, 95, formerly of Chaseburg, died Wednesday, October 8, 1997 at Bethany St. Joseph Care Center in La Crosse where she had been a resident eight years.
She was born August 1, 1902 in Chaseburg, to Ernest and Emma (Grosskopf) Lenser. Alvina greatly enjoyed needlework. She was a lifelong member of St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church.
Alvina is survived by two nieces, Doris (Rueben) Koll and Edna (Herb) Lietke, both of La Crosse and one nephew, Donald Lenser of Chaseburg; one great-niece Linda Ghelf and one great-nephew, Duane Lietke.
She was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, October 11, 1997 at St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Chaseburg. Rev. Lyle Schalow officiating with burial in the church cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Saturday from 1 p.m. until the time of services. Seland Funeral Home, Coon Valley is assisting the family.

Marian Sutton of La Crosse, died Wednesday, October 8, 1997 at St. Francis Medical Center.

Candace A. Helgeson
Candace A. Helgeson died at Yavapai Regional Medical Center on Oct. 2, 1997.
Candace Stephenson was born in La Crosse, March 31, 1922. She attended public schools in La Crosse, and received her bachelor's degree with honors from UW-La Crosse in 1943.
She married Arlan Helgeson in 1944.
Mrs. Helgeson taught in high schools in Reedsburg and Bangor, Wis., before beginning graduate studies first at UW-Madison and later at the University of Ill., where she earned a master's degree in English and did advanced graduate work as well.
She served on the English faculty at Ill. State University for many years before retiring and moving to Prescott with her husband in 1982.
Surviving are her husband; daughter, Fleur Rilett of St. Joseph Island, Ontario, Canada; sons, John and Eric Helgeson of Bloomington, Ill.; and her brother, Dr. Henry Stepheson of Newcastle, Wyo.
Mrs. Helgeson is also mourned by four grandchildren, John and Stephanie Rilett of Ontario, Canada and Kathleen and Maria Helgeson of Bloomington, Ill.
Mrs. Helgeson was a member of the Prescott Branch of the American Association of University Women.
