William Dean Hirschuber
STODDARD, Wis. - William Dean Hirschuber, 45, of Stoddard, Wis., died at his home on Wednesday, October 8, 1997.
He was born in La Crosse, on August 29, 1952, to William and Marge (Joseph) Hirschuber.
He married Susan K. Strand on March 29, 1975 at DeSoto Lutheran Church in DeSoto, Wis.
He had been a member of St. Matthew's Ev. Lutheran Church since 1981.
Bill is survived by his wife, Susan; by one son, William Joseph Hirschuber of Winona, Minn.; his parents of Stoddard; two brothers, Terry (Kelley) Hirschuber of Onalaska and Rick (Lorna) Hirschuber of Holmen; two sisters, Tami Gruntzel of La Crosse and Tanya (Bob) Juen of Onalaska.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Tim, and his maternal and paternal grandparents.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 11, 1997 at 11 a.m. from St. Matthew's Ev. Lutheran Church in Stoddard. Rev. R.W. Kloehn will officiate. Burial will be in the Stoddard Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Schumacher-Kish Funeral Home of La Crosse on Friday from 5 until 8 p.m. and at the church on Saturday from 10:30 a.m. until the time of services.
Edward W. Snyder
SPARTA, Wis. - Edward W. Snyder, 68, of Sparta died at his home on Monday, October 6, 1997.
He is survived by one sister, Mrs. Elenor Hix, San Luis Obispo, Calif. and several nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held with full military honors provided by VFW Post 2112 of Sparta at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Angelo Oak Grove Cemetery, with Rev. Mark Walljasper officiating.
The Page-Smith Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Edward Bucheger
GREENWOOD, Wis. - Edward J. Bucheger, 91, Greenwood, died on Thurs., Oct. 9, 1997.
Funeral services will be on Mon., Oct. 13, 1997, at 11 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Greenwood, with Rev. Joseph Follmar officiating. Burial will be in St. Cecelia's Cemetery in Butternut, Ashland County.
Visitation will be at St. Mary's Church in Greenwood on Sun., Oct. 12, 1997, from 6 to 9 p.m., with 8 p.m. scripture service, followed by the Knights of Columbus rosary. Visitation 9 a.m. Mon. until services at the church.
Ed was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and mentor to his family and friends.
He will be sadly missed by his wife "Lou" of 62 years; five sons, Dave (Carol) of Rothschild, Dennis (Darlene) of Greenwood, Joe (Candi) of Onalaska, Jerry (Judy) of Crystal Lake, Ill. and Jeff (Rose) of Farmington, Minn.; two daughters, Jackie (Ross) Fritz of North Powder, Ore. and Judy (Noel) White of Cheney, Wash.; three brothers; three sisters; 18 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by his parents; two brothers; three sisters.
Memorials may be given in his name to St. Mary's Catholic Church Educational Fund in Greenwood.

WAUKON, Iowa - Florence A. Harris, 89, of Waukon, died Thursday, October 9, 1997 following a brief illness at the Good Samaritan Center in Waukon.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 11 at 1 p.m. at Salem United Church of Christ in rural Waukon.

PRAIRIE DU CHIEN, Wis. - Ethel M. Saunders, 86, of Prairie du Chien, Wis., died October 8, 1997 at Prairie du Chien Memorial Hospital. Services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, October 11, 1997 at Thornburg-Hanson Funeral Home in McGregor.
Friends may call 4-8 p.m. on Friday, October 10 and one hour prior to services on the 11th at Thornburg-Hanson Funeral Home.

READSTOWN, Wis. - Julius Jacobson, 87, of Readstown, passed away on Thursday, October 9, 1997, at the Bethel Home in Viroqua.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 13 at 1 p.m. at the Peace Lutheran Church in Readstown.
Burial will be in the Readstown Cemetery.

NECEDAH, Wis. - Robert H. Winnie, 48, of Necedah, died in a drowning accident at Petenwell Lake in Armenia Township, Juneau County, Wisconsin.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, October 11, 1997, 1 p.m. at the Sonnenburg Family Funeral Home, Tomah.
Relatives and friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of services.

Olga S. Ballsrud
WESTBY, Wis. - Olga S. Ballsrud, of Westby, died at the Bethel Home in Viroqua, on Wednesday, October 8, 1997, at the age of 94 years one month. She was born in Portland Township, Monroe Co., Wis., to Olaf H. Brown and Stella (Pederson) Brown on September 8, 1903. She attended Sparta High School and graduated from Wisconsin Business University at La Crosse. On November 17, 1928, she married Charles N. ``Stub'' Ballsrud. They operated the Shell Service Station and a trucking business in Westby.
Olga was the secretary at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Westby for many years. In addition, she was a volunteer for various church activities and sang in the church choir for 47 years.
Olga is survived by three children, Ona Harpestad of Champaign, Ill., Charlotte (James) Sneyd of McKinney, Tex. and Clyde (Judy) Ballsrud of Cincinnati, Ohio.; nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1978; one brother, Glen Brown; and two sisters, Ester Anderson and Alice Bronson.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, October 12, 1997 at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Westby.
Pastor Gary Daines will officiate with burial in the Portland Cemetery, rural Cashton.
Friends are invited to greet the family in the church basement following the service.
Memorials may be given to Our Savior's Lutheran Church.
