Sadie E. Martin
Sadie E. Martin, 76, of La Crosse, died Monday, October 6, 1997 at Franciscan Skemp Onalaska Nursing Home. She was born April 11, 1921 in McKinley Valley, rural West Salem, to Selma Miller. On July 26, 1941 she married Ansel Olson and he preceded her in death on October 31, 1965. She then married Alfred Martin on September 14, 1967 and he also preceded her in death, on June 30, 1986.
Survivors include five children, Alvina (Earl) Farnam of Holmen, Leslie (Mary Ann) Olson of Nashua, N.H., Sharon Olson of Centerville, Wis., and Dolores Jungen and Donald (Nancy) Olson, both of Holmen; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one brother, Julian (Darlene) Peterson of Onalaska; one sister-in-law, Junella Caulum of Cashton; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by her mother; one grandson, Michael Olson; and one brother, Lawrence Caulum.
Funeral services will be Friday, October 10 at 11 a.m. from Jostad-Jandt Funeral Home, 121 N. Youlon St., West Salem. Pastor Allan Saugstad will officiate. Burial will be in Neshonoc Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and also on Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
Mrs. Wilbur (Ethel) Reincke
WABASHA, Minn. - Mrs. Wilbur (Ethel) Reincke, 83, of Wabasha, sister of Kathryn Ellis of La Crosse, died Monday, Oct. 6, 1997 in her sleep. She will be buried Thursday from St. Felix Catholic Church, Wabasha.
Lawrence T. `Larry' Tollefson
Lawrence T. ``Larry'' Tollefson, age 47, died on Wednesday, October 1, 1997. Beloved father of Bradley and Lindsey. Loving husband of Charleen McCone, her daughter Michelle, and grandson Tyler. Dear son of Raymond and Joyce Tollefson of Seneca, Wis. Loving brother of Donald (Fran), Marilyn (Duane) LeDuc and Clifford (Carol). Further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 11, 1997 at 1 p.m. at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Seneca, Wis. Interment to follow in the Dickson Cemetery in Lynxville, Wis. Max A. Sass & Sons-Oklahoma Ave. Chapel, Milwaukee, is assisting with arrangements.
Jennie M. Kinserdahl
Jennie M. Kinserdahl, 93, of La Crosse, died Monday, October 6, 1997 at the Hillview Health Care Center. She was born in Douglas, Iowa, on August 5, 1904 to Clifford and Kitty (Kelsey) Lee. She married Lawrence Kinserdahl and he preceded her in death.
She is survived by nieces Delenor Pohl of Onalaska, Betty (Ron) Kleinschmidt of Boyce, Va., and La Vonne Jackson of Tucson, Ariz. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence, a sister and a brother.
Funeral services will be Saturday, October 11 at 10 a.m. at the Hillview Health Care Center. The Reverend David Worm will officiate. Burial following cremation will be at the East Lawn Cemetery in Tucson, Ariz. The Dickinson Family Funeral Home is assisting with the arrangements.

WAUZEKA, Wis. - Lorna P. Walters, 93, of Wauzeka, died Monday, Oct. 6, 1997 in Boscobel Area Health Care, Boscobel. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday from St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Wauzeka. Burial will be in Dutch Ridge Cemetery, town of Wauzeka. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Beeman-Patchak Funeral Home, Wauzeka, where there will be a 7 p.m. Eastern Star service.

BEAVER DAM, Wis. - Delores Ann Stewart, 46, of 106 Charles Street, Beaver Dam, Wis., died Monday, October 6, 1997 at her home. She was born November 8, 1950 in Independence, Iowa, to Clement and Rita (Schares) Michels. She married Glen Stewart August 16, 1969 in Independence, Iowa.
She is survived by her husband, Glen of Beaver Dam, Wis.; her daughter, Cindy Stewart of Wilton, Wis.; special friends Roger and Jean Liefke of Wilton, Wis.; her father, Clement Michels of Hazleton, Iowa; and 12 brothers and sisters, Barbara Vandersee of Aurora, Iowa, Bernice (Roger) Vargason of Independence, Iowa, Virginia (Joe) Hyatt of Overgaard, Ariz., Eileen (Robert) Koob of Oelwein, Iowa, Paul (Mary Anne) Michels of Hazleton, Iowa, Leroy (Beth) Michels of Shreveport, La., Margie (Steve) Fernau of Waterloo, Iowa, Monica (Darin) Wurzer of Fort Atkinson, Iowa, Peggy (Tom) Warwick of Coulter, Iowa, John (Sue) Michels of Oelwein, Iowa, Fritz (Deanne) Michels of Hazleton, Iowa, and Marlene (Glen) Dawson of Hazleton, Iowa. She is also survived by 47 nieces and nephews, and six great-nieces and -nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother and a niece, Jessica Koob.
She was previously employed at the Beaver Dam Community Hospital as a secretary. She was a former member of the Readstown E.M.S. She was a member of St. Stephen's Ev. Lutheran Church in Beaver Dam, Wis. She was also a former 4-H leader in Readstown.
Funeral services will be Thursday, October 9 at 11 a.m. at St. Stephen's Ev. Lutheran Church in Beaver Dam, Wis., with Rev. Mark Lindner officiating; and Friday, October 10 at 1 p.m. at the Brant-Kerns-Jamison Funeral Home in Oelwein, Iowa, with Rev. Ervin D. Hesterberg officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Hazleton, Iowa. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the Koepsell Funeral Home in Beaver Dam; and Friday, October 10 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Brant-Kerns-Jamison Funeral Home in Oelwein, Iowa.

HOUSTON, Minn. - Wanda Lou Carrier, 68, of Houston, died Tuesday, Oct. 7, 1997 in Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center, La Crosse. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday in First Presbyterian Church, Houston. Burial will be in Money Creek Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Hoff Funeral Home-Houston Chapel; and one hour prior to the services Friday at the church.
Sam Garness
SPRING GROVE, Minn. - Sam Garness, 92, of Caledonia and formerly of Spring Grove, died Monday, Oct. 6, 1997 in Lutheran Home, Caledonia. Memorial services will be 7:30 p.m. Friday in the Roble Funeral Chapel, Spring Grove. Interment of the cremains will be at a later date.
D. Wayne Erickson
ETTRICK, Wis. - D. Wayne Erickson, age 79, of Ettrick, found peace with the Lord on Tuesday, October 7, 1997 at the Hillview Home in La Crosse. He was born December 11, 1917 in Disco, Wisconsin to Ingwal and Mabel (Loasching) Erickson. He married Cora Olson on June 28, 1939 in Blair, Wisconsin. Wayne was a veteran and served with the Army during World War II. He was the former owner and operator of the Erickson Oil Company in Ettrick and Galesville from 1945 until 1969 when he later sold the business to the Bob Johnson Oil Company. He then continued to work for 15 more years at Fort McCoy. Wayne was the former village president, and a charter member of the Ettrick Lions Club.
He is survived by his wife, Cora of Ettrick; twin daughters, Shirley (Max) Paine of Onalaska and Sharon (Richard) Dearborn of Portland, Maine; five grandchildren, Kelly (Dennis) Abitz, Sheila Fehrman, Ilka (Steven) Pollock, Mario (Katina) Garcia and Lora (Daniel) Keucker; one great-grandson, Benjamin Pollock; and one brother, Roger A. (Sandra) Erickson. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Robert.
Memorial services, following cremation, will be held at 9 a.m. on Saturday, October 11, 1997 at the Living Hope Lutheran Church in Ettrick. Rev. Lyle Ness will officiate. Burial will be in the Ettrick Cemetery. The Fossum Funeral Home in Ettrick is assisting the family with arrangements.
