TAYLOR, Wis. - Archie M. Hanson, 80 of rural Taylor, died Friday, Feb. 7, 1997 at Black River Memorial Hospital, Black River Falls. Services will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, at the Upper Pigeon Creek Lutheran Church, rural Hixton. Burial, with military rites, will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Jensen-Modjeski Funeral Home, Hixton; and one hour before services Wednesday at the church.
Inez L. Strozinsky
COTTAGE GROVE/TOMAH, Wis. - Inez L. Strozinsky, 81 of Cottage Grove, Wisconsin and formerly of Tomah, died Sunday, Feb. 9, 1997 at St. Marys Hospital in Madison.
She was born August 23, 1915 to Herman and Emma (Wendland) Ludeking in the town of Wilton, Monroe County, Wis. She was united in marriage to Raymond Affeldt on Nov. 21, 1943. He preceded her in death. She was united in marriage to Clarence H. Strozinsky on Dec. 15, 1962 at St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church in Tomah. He also preceded her in death. Inez lived in Tomah most of her life. She moved to Cottage Grove to be closer to her son, his wife and her grandchildren. During her life she farmed with her husband, worked as a cook at the Sherman Hotel in Tomah, and at Tomah Memorial Hospital, and prior to moving to Cottage Grove she worked for Monroe County Senior Services in home health care. She was an active member of Eastside Ev. Lutheran Church at Madison and an active and faithful member of St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church in Tomah when she lived there.
She is survived by one son, Norbert (Karyl) Affeldt of Madison; two grandchildren, Jay Raymond Affeldt of Madison, and Jennifer Anne Affeldt of San Jose, Costa Rica; nephews, Donald (Evelyn) Kortbein of Tomah, Robert (Charlene) Kortbein of Wilton, Harold (June) Gerke of Tomah, Ruben (Marie) Von Haden of Norwalk; nieces, Esther Prechel of Waunakee, Ruth Jameson of Janesville, Lila (Orville) Stufflebeam of Payson, Ariz., Lyla (Clyde) Creviston of Beloit, Violet Tomlin of Seattle, Washington, and Norma Sommerfield of Sparta. She is further survived by other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by a brother and four sisters.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Feb. 13, 1997 at 11 a.m. in the St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church, 525 Superior Ave., Tomah, Wis. Rev. Donald R. Buch will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery at Tomah.
Relatives and friends are invited to call at the Sonnenburg Family Funeral Home, 801 East Monowau Street, Tomah on Wednesday from 4 until 8 p.m., and at the church on Thursday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Family request, memorials may be given to St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church at Tomah and Taylor Ridge Apartments in her memory.

HILLSBORO, Wis. - Jessie (Wick) McManus, 75, of Hillsboro, Wis., died Sunday, Feb. 9, 1997 in her home. Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, in the Picha Funeral Home, Hillsboro, Wis. Committal will be in the Millards Prairie Cemetery.

INDEPENDENCE, Wis. - Anton T. Bautch, 92, of Independence, died Saturday, Feb. 8, 1997 at Tri-County Lutheran Nursing Home in Pigeon Falls. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. today, in the SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Independence. Spring burial will be in the church cemetery. Ida Bessie Viola Hendrickson
LA CRESCENT, Minn. - Ida Hendrickson, 88, formerly of Route 1, died at the La Crescent Health Care Center on Sunday, February 9, 1997.
She was born June 20, 1908 in Frazee, Minnesota to John and Bessie (Maehler) Thiede. She married Egert Hendrickson on January 5, 1932, and he preceded her in death on August 5, 1955.
Prior to her retirement, she had worked as a cook in numerous restaurants in the La Crosse area.
She is survived by four daughters, Denise Nelson of Cumberland, Maryland, Carol Westmeyer of St. Paul, Minnesota, Jeaneen (Claude) Florey of Midland, Michigan, Nancy (Ralph) Bean of La Crescent; two sons, Roy (Joanne) Hendrickson, and Gale Hendrickson, both of La Crosse; 25 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; a sister, Laura Kumara; three brothers, Herman and Fred (Angeline) Thiede, both of La Crosse, and Christian (Betty) Thiede of Lincoln, Montana.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by nine brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. at the Dickinson Family Funeral Home, 809 Gillette Street. The Reverend Jose Flores will officiate. Following the services, the body will be cremated. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 6 to 8 p.m.
Roy Morehouse
Roy Morehouse, 84, of 2513 Hewitt Street, died at his home on Sunday, February 9, 1997.
He was born April 11, 1912 in Mauston, Wisconsin to Steven and Minnie (Gollnick) Morehouse. He married Irene (Arntsen) on October 10, 1936 and they recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. Mr. and Mrs. Morehouse were charter members of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. Prior to his retirement, Mr. Morehouse had worked for Tausche Hardware for many years.
He is survived by his wife, Irene; a son, Reverend Terry (Joan) Morehouse of Minnetonka, Minnesota; two daughters, Carol (Marshall) Juel of Bettendorf, Iowa, and Kathleen Stone of Medford, Wisconsin; seven grandchildren, Randy, Robin, Richard, Kristina, Michelle, Amy and Laurie; seven great-grandchildren; two brothers, Raymond (Mildred) Morehouse of Cedar Falls, Iowa, and Harold (Gleva) Morehouse of Tomah, Wisconsin.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Clarence and Irvin; and a sister, LaNore.
Funeral services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. The Reverend J.L. Mattes will officiate and burial will be in the Mormon Coulee Memorial Park. Friends may call at the church on Monday from 6 to 8 p.m., and on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the services.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.
The Dickinson Family Funeral Homes are assisting the family with the arrangements.
Agnes E. Bruemmer
BIRCHWOOD, Wis. - Agnes E. Bruemmer, 94, a resident of Birchwood, Wis., died on Saturday, February 8, 1997 at the Indianhead Medical Center, Shell Lake, Wis.
She was born in La Crosse County on January 17, 1903 to Herman and Mary (Hess) Roesler. She married Bernard Bruemmer on March 6, 1920 in Winona, Minn. He preceded her in death on January 8, 1977.
Agnes is survived by many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, Bernard, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Bernice, seven sisters and four brothers.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 11, 1997 at 1 p.m. at English Lutheran Church. The Rev. James Barsch will officiate. Burial will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Tuesday from 12 noon until the time of services. The Schumacher-Kish Funeral Home of La Crosse is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Indianhead Medical Center, Shell Lake, Wis.
Richard B. Trainor
Richard B. Trainor, 77, Redwood, Calif., died Oct. 31, 2001, at the Burlingame Health Care Center in Burlingame, Calif.
He was born June 13, 1924, in Minnesota, the son of the late Lon J. and Helen M. (O'Connor) Trainor.
He served overseas in the U.S. Army during World War II. He lived in Chicago, New York and Genoa City before moving to California 35 years ago. He had worked at Nippersink Resort, Genoa City; as maitre d' at Scotty Campbell's Restaurant, Redwood City, Calif.; and did volunteer work assisting the elderly. He was a dancer and performer, enjoyed animals, and collected Marilyn Monroe memorabilia.
Survivors include his sister, Theresa (Bud) Urban, Palm City, Fla.; nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Nov. 8 at Haase-Derrick-Lockwood Funeral Home in Twin Lakes. Interment was in Mound Cemetery. Memorial remembrances may be made to the American Cancer Society in his name.

Margaret M. Toporek
Margaret M. Toporek, 67, Salem, died Nov. 2, 2001, at her home.
She was born June 27, 1934, in Chicago, Ill., the daughter of the late Alexander and Mary (Schoenbeck) Topp.
On June 28, 1956, in Niles, Ill., she was united in marriage to Walter Toporek.
Edward J. Sebescak
Edward J. Sebescak, 76, Bristol, died Oct. 30, 2001 at his home.
He was born July 15, 1925, in Granite City, Ill., the son of the late Andrew and Katherine (Diak) Sebescak.
On Feb. 22, 1970, in Chicago, Ill., he was united in marriage to Beverly Zakaria.
