Kurt M. Kretschmer
Kurt M. Kretschmer, 34, of Kenosha, died Thursday, (Feb. 28, 2001) at his home.
Born Aug. 27, 1966 in Burlington, he was the son of William and Maxine (Kelsey) Kretschmer.
He spent his early life in Burlington and attended schools there. He worked at Modern Builders as a concrete laborer.
Survivors include his parents, five brothers, Dan (Denise) Kretschmer of Galena, Ill., John (Victoria) Kretschmer of Burlington, Mark (Jeanette) Kretschmer of Union Grove, Gregory (Kathleen) Kretschmer of Kansasville and Brian Kretschmer of Yakima, Wash., and three sisters, Denise (Ted) Naber of Fort Atkinson, Billie Jo Kretschmer of Kenosha and Lisa Kretschmer, Milwaukee.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Gary, his grandparents, William and Florence Kretschmer and Ronnie and Alene Benke.

Julia M. Redini
Julia M. Redini, 84, of Itasca, Ill., died Saturday (Nov. 24, 2001) at Alden Valley Ridge Nursing Home in Bloomingdale, Ill.
Born Sept. 11, 1917 in South Range, Mich., she was the daughter of the late Angelo and Flora (Bernardi) Barsi. She moved to Kenosha when she was four years old. She attended schools in Kenosha, and was second in her class when she graduated from Kenosha High School.
On Feb. 15, 1941, she married Henry Redini at Holy Rosary Church. He died Aug. 19, 1998.
She worked for the Kenosha News in the classified department, and as the private secretary to the newspaper's then owner Ralph Kingsley.
She was founder of the Leslie Lewis Gadget Band, which was together for 42 years, and served as president of the Lewis Elementary School PTO.
She is survived by one daughter, Carole (Leonard) Nicholus, one sister, Eleanor (Clifford) Staves and two grandchildren.
Services were held in Franklin Park, Ill.
Alzora Rosalie Vandenberg
Alzora Rosalie Vandenberg, 76, formerly of Kenosha, later of St. Cloud, Fla., died there at her home on Saturday (Feb. 26, 2000).
Born in Kenosha on Oct. 7, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Jesse and Ella (Birkholz) Woodward.
On Oct. 25, 1948, she married Neil Vandenberg. After he retired from American Motors, they moved to St. Cloud.
She enjoyed world travel with her husband, including China, Singapore, Australia, Japan, Argentina, and Hong Kong. This past September they celebrated their 51st wedding anniversary with a cruise to Alaska with their daughter.
Surviving are her husband of St. Cloud; two sons, Robert of Benicia, Calif., and Rick of St. Cloud; two daughters, Carol of Kenosha and Karen Cuozzo of Redmond, Wash.; two brothers, Chet and Gerald Woodward of California; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Two brothers, Morris and Wayne Woodward, preceded her in death.

Myrtle E. Kneipper
Myrtle E. Kneipper, 86, died Thursday morning (Sept. 28, 2000) at Kenosha Care Center.
Born on July 26, 1914, in Pleasant Prairie to the late Elmer and Isabelle (Stahl) Stanley, she received her education at St. Thomas Catholic School and graduated from Kenosha High School.
On Aug. 21, 1937, at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, she married Edwin Kneipper. He died in July of 1997.
Most of her life she was a homemaker. Early in her life, she worked at the former Kenosha County Relief Department and Nash/Kelvinator Company for several years. She also was employed in the office at Massey Harris in Racine leaving in 1952.
She was a member of St. Therese Catholic Church and Christian Mothers of the Church.
Surviving are a son, Jeffrey M. of Somers; a daughter, Marjorie VanPatten of Mesa, Ariz.; a brother, Mathias Stanley of Somerfield, Fla.; a sister, Albertina Puhr of Huntsville, Ala.; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Myrtle was preceded in death by a brother, Elmer Stanley Jr.

Harry F. Mayer Jr.
Harry F. Mayer Jr., 73, of Bristol died Friday (Feb. 25, 2000) in Ormond Beach, Fla., at his daughter's residence.
Born May 20, 1926, in Kenosha, he was the son of the late Harry F. and Marguerite (Schulte) Mayer. He attended St. Mark's Grade School and graduated from Bradford High School. He attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison and the University of Wyoming-Laramie, graduating in 1951 with a bachelor of science degree in pharmacy.
He served in the United States Army Air Force as a flight navigator.
On Oct. 25, 1952, at St. Peter's Catholic Church, he married Irene M. "Ivy" Varnis.
In 1952 he joined his father as a pharmacist at Mayer Drug Store in downtown Kenosha, which was established by his father in 1914. He retired in 1991.
He was a member of Kenosha Chamber of Commerce; Downtown Kenosha Association; Downtown Rotary Club; SPEBSQSA, singing in the chorus and a barbershop quartet for many years; Wisconsin Pharmaceutical Association, Kenosha Pharmacy Association, U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary, serving as Kenosha Floatilla Commander, St. Catherine's Hospital Auxiliary, Phi Kappa Theta Fraternity, Phi Delta Chi Fraternity, American Legion, St. Peter's Church Choir, St. Benedict's Abbey Choir. After retiring in 1991 from Mayer Drug, he volunteered many hours at St. Catherine's Hospital and St. Benedicts Abbey. He enjoyed boating at his lake home and visiting his family in Florida and Middleton. He also spent every March following the St. Louis Cardinals in spring training camp.
Surviving are his wife of Bristol; two daughters, Mary Sue Mayer-Solberg of Middleton; Beth Ann Motzel of Ormond Beach, Fla.; and two granddaughters.
He was preceded in death by one sister Mary Sue, who died at 4 years of age.

Clarence "Larry" Joseph Bonnette
Clarence "Larry" Joseph Bonnette, 82, formerly of Kenosha, late a resident of Sunbridge Health Center of LaGrange, Ill., died Sunday (May 14, 2000).
He was born Oct. 28, 1916, in Webster, Mass. He came to Kenosha in the late 50's and moved to LaGrange last year.
A veteran of World War II, he served in the U.S. Army.
A pilot, he enjoyed flying and worked as the manager for the Wautoma Airport. He also worked as a salesman for Beltone and other companies.
He was a member of the Masons.
Surviving are his son Steve of Hinsdale, Ill.; four daughters, Barbara Graff of Oregon, Wis., Pam Dixon of the Rhinelander area, Charlene Schultz of Worchester, Mass., and Candace Sorensen of Rhinelander; a sister, Gladys Fournier of Thompson, Conn.; and seven grandchildren.

Pasquale DeCicco
Pasquale DeCicco, 74, a resident of Saxony Manor, died May 26, 2000, at Kenosha Hospital and Medical Center.
Born Aug. 28, 1925, in Montaltouffga, Italy, he was the son of the late Eugene and Carmella DeCicco. He attended school in Italy.
He came to Kenosha from Chicago in 1991.
He worked on the assembly line at M&M Mars Candy Company in Chicago.
His wife Anna (Tenuta) preceded him in death on Aug. 27, 1988.
