VIROQUA, Wis. - Mrs. Guida Clements, 100, of Route 4, Viroqua, died Friday, Jan. 9, 1998, at the Vernon Manor, Viroqua.
The funeral Mass will be held on Monday at 11 a.m. in St. Mary's Catholic Church, Viroqua. Burial in Viroqua Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Larson Funeral Home in Viroqua on Sunday from 4 to 6 p.m. with a prayer service at 5 p.m. A complete obituary will follow.

BLACK RIVER FALLS, Wis. - Helma O. Allen, age 90, of Black River Falls, died Friday, January 9, 1998, in Pine View Nursing Home, Black River Falls.
Funeral services will be Monday, January 12, 1998, at 10 a.m. from the Black River Falls Evangelical Lutheran Church and burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.
Friends may call at the church on Monday from 9 a.m. until services.

LANSING, Iowa - Myrtle J. Strub, 79, of Lansing, Iowa, died Thursday, Jan. 8, 1998, at Thornton Manor Care Center, Lansing.
Services will be held 1 p.m. on Monday at the United Methodist Church in Lansing. Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.
Friends may call two hours prior to service at the church on Monday.
Donald D. Snitker
WAUKON, Iowa - Donald D. Snitker, 72, of Waukon, died Thursday, Jan. 8, 1998, at his home in Waukon following a lengthy illness.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 1:30 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home, Waukon. Burial with graveside military rites will be in Salem Cemetery, rural Waukon.
Friends may call after 2 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home.
Olive L. Paulsen
Olive L. Paulsen, 85, of 2520 Hackberry Lane, died Thursday, January 8, 1998, in her home.
She was born May 1, 1912, in Random Lake, Wis., to David and Julie Wilk. She graduated from Random Lake High School, attended the U. of Wisconsin Madison for three years, never graduating due to the need to return home and care for her ill mother. She later graduated from Miss Brown's School of Business (2 yr.), Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
She married Milton R. Paulsen on March 30, 1940, in Random Lake, Wis. The ceremony took place in front of the fireplace in the new brick home of Olive's parents, next to the family furniture store. Their first home was in Milwaukee, Wis., where their first son, Michael David was born. They then moved to Troy, N.Y., where their second son, Frederic Lee was born. They later moved to Fargo, N.D., and Ames, Iowa, where their daughter, Judith Ann was born.
In 1944, they moved back to Milwaukee, Wis., where their next two children, Patricia Louise and Thomas Peter were born. In 1952, they moved to La Crosse, Wis.
Olive has been an avid gardener and cook who loved and cherished her role as home maker. She enjoyed polka, bridge, dancing, traveling and talking and singing in German, the language in which she was confirmed. She was a member of English Lutheran Church, Martha Guild and Fifty Plus and a volunteer at Lutheran Hospital. She and Milton traveled extensively after his retirement.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Milton R. Paulsen; her sister, Adaline Lorenz (Gil) and her brother, Leroy Wilk (Audrey).
She is survived by three sons, Michael D. (Judy) of Battle Creek, Mich., Frederic L. (Patty) of Marshfield, Wis., and Thomas P. (Janice) of Ladysmith, Wis.; two daughters, Judith A. (Stan) Schabert of La Crosse and Patricia L. (Tom) Silver of Random Lake, Wis.; 12 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; a brother, Fritz Wilk (Malinda) of Random Lake, Wis.; four sisters-in-law, Audrey Wilk (Leroy) of West Bend, Wis., Rola Franson (Harry) of New Holstein, Marge Paulsen (Norman) of Billings, Mont., and Ivy Paulsen (Elmer) of New Holstein, Wis.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in English Lutheran Church, with a lunch following. Entombment will be at Garden of Peace Mausoleum, Mormon Coulee Memorial Park.
Visitation will be from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Monday in the church.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to English Lutheran Church.

Ralph B. Engstad
WAUKESHA, Wis. - Ralph B. Engstad passed away Jan. 8, 1998, at the age of 89 years.
Beloved husband of the late Lenora and the late Elizabeth. Loving father of the late Mary (Leonard) Dalienden. Dear stepfather of Robert (Judith) Raymond and Edythe (Edward) Cooper. Dear uncle of William (Lorraine) Engstad, Wayne Engstad, Gerald (Dody) Engstad, John (Marion) Engstad, Lorraine (Robert) Hanson, Howard (Florence) Roberts. Also survived by step grandchildren, step great-grandchildren, and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be Monday, Jan. 12, at 2 p.m. at Harder Funeral Home, 18700 W. Capitol Drive, Brookfield, Wis.
Visitation on Monday at the funeral home from 1 p.m. until time of service. Inurnment in Wauwatosa Cemetery.
Mr. Engstad was a member of the Electrical Workers Local No. 494 and IBEW.

Jennifer Ann Cleveland
Jennifer A. Cleveland, 26, died Thursday, January 8, 1998, at her home, after a long struggle with kidney disease.
She was born July 12, 1971, in Green Bay, Wisconsin, and adopted as an infant by Ardus (Tepler) and John Cleveland. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul's Lutheran Church. She attended La Crosse Public Schools, graduating from Logan Senior High School in 1989. She also attended Western Wisconsin Technical College.
She is survived by her parents of La Crosse; one sister, Kristin Cleveland and brother-in-law, Erik Nycklemoe of Flagstaff, Arizona; two brothers, Gregory Cleveland of Rossmoor, California and Jason Cleveland of Ventura, California; godparents, Dennis and Karen Cleveland of Winona, Minnesota and Lee and Adele Benson of Clintonville, Wisconsin; many aunts, uncles and cousins; special friends and special caregivers.
While medical problems occupied much of Jennifer's life, she was able to maintain her positive attitude and served as an inspiration to those around her.
A memorial service will be conducted on Monday, January 12, 1998, at 11 a.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church. The Reverend Duane Kamroth will officiate.
Friends may call at the Sletten-McKee-Hanson Funeral Home on Sunday from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. and at the church on Monday from 10 a.m. until the services.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to St. Paul's Lutheran Church or Gundersen Lutheran Medical Foundation.

TOMAH, Wis. - Michael J. Linehan, Sr., 77, of rural Tomah, died Friday, Jan. 9, 1998, at the Tomah Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Tomah. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
