Kim LaDale Marson
ONALASKA, Wis. - Kim L. Marson, 40, died at the Franciscan Skemp Medical Center on Sunday, January 4, 1998. She was born March 3, 1957 in La Crosse to Dale R. and Betty (Clark) Thomas. She married Gary Marson on April 6, 1996. She was a loving wife, mother, sister and daughter.
She is survived by her husband, Gary; a daughter, Brittany West; and two sons, Nicholas and Christopher West, all of Onalaska; her mother, Betty Thomas of La Crosse; a sister, Pamela (Richard G. ``Dick'') Williams of La Crosse; her paternal grandmother, Alva Thomas of Norwalk; a stepdaughter, Heather Humfeld and a step-grandson, Austin of Waterloo, Iowa; and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Dale R. Thomas, her maternal grandparents and a paternal grandfather.
Funeral services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at the First Lutheran Church in Onalaska. The Reverend Ryan Aarstard will officiate and entombment will be in the Gardens of Peace Mausoleum. Friends may call at the Dickinson Family Funeral Home, 401 Main Street, in Onalaska, on Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m., and at the church on Thursday from 10 a.m. until the services. Memorials may be given to the Kim Marson memorial fund.
Margaret M. Woerm
MCGREGOR, Iowa - Margaret M. Woerm, 83, of McGregor, Iowa, died Tuesday, January 6, 1998, at the Memorial Hospital in Prairie du Chien, Wis. following a long illness. Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Friday, January 9, 1998, at the First Congregational UCC in McGregor, Iowa. There will be no visitation at the Thornburg-Hanson Funeral Home in McGregor.
John William Wuttke
John William Wuttke, 53, of 2519 South 17th Street, died in his home on Monday, December 29, 1997. He was born in La Crosse on October 28, 1944 to Fred and Evelyn (Kildow) Wuttke. John was a machinist for the Trane Company. He served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam. He was a member of Ducks Unlimited.
He is survived by two sisters, Mary (Carl) Oelfke of Holmen and Nancy (Rob) Rasmussen of Kenosha and three brothers, Fred (Sara) of Houston. Tex., Tom of La Crosse, and Jim (Marilyn) of Onalaska. He was preceded in death by his parents. Private services were held on Monday, January 5, 1998 at the Oak Grove Cemetery. Sletten McKee Hanson Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
Clarence H. `Christy' Christensen
Clarence H. ``Christy'' Christensen, 80, of La Crosse, died on Monday, December 29, 1997 at the Franciscan Skemp Medical Center, La Crosse.
He was born in Pulaski, Wisconsin, on July 29, 1917 to Hans and Clara (Erickson) Christensen. He married Edna V. Eggen on September 10, 1938 in Waukon, Iowa. He worked as a tool and die maker throughout his life, and last worked at Northern Engraving in Sparta before retiring.
Clarence is survived by his wife, Edna; one daughter, Clarice (Louis) Favre of La Crosse; two grandchildren, Donald Gerke and Nancy Gerke; two sisters, Alice (Al) Hovey of Shawano, Wis., and Ann (Dallas) Heinz of Pulaski, Wis.; one brother, Donald (Barbara) Christensen of Green Bay, Wis.; two sisters-in-law, Agnes Christensen of Pulaski, Wis., and Doris Jarosinski of Milwaukee; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, James and Andrew.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, January 10, 1998 at 11 a.m. from First Presbyterian Church in La Crosse. Rev. Michael Frandsen will officiate. Friends may call on the family at the church on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of services. The Schumacher-Kish Funeral Home of La Crosse is assisting the family with arrangements.

ELROY, Wis. - Georgetta W. Gibney, 75, of Elroy, died Monday, Jan. 5, 1998 at her residence. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday in the Picha Funeral Home, Elroy. WAUKON, Iowa. - Clinton Dale Winters, 74, of Waukon, Iowa, died suddenly Sunday, Jan. 4, 1998, in his home. Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday in Zion United Church of Christ, Waukon, Iowa. Burial with military graveside rites will be in Oakland Cemetery, Waukon. Friends may call after 3 p.m. today at Martin Funeral Home in Waukon.
Charlotte A. (Freng) McArdle
Charlotte A. (Freng) McArdle, age 81, of La Crosse, passed away Tuesday, January 6, 1998, in the Franciscan Skemp Medical Center.
She was born in La Crosse on September 24, 1916, to John and Mary Ellen (Roche) Freng. She graduated from Central High School in 1934, she graduated from the University of Wisconsin as a Registered Nurse in 1940 and received her bachelor's degree in 1941. She married James E. McArdle of Bailey's Harbor, Wis., on April 6, 1942, in La Crosse. Together with her husband they moved extensively throughout the U.S., due to his career with the FBI. Her nursing career began with public health care nursing in Vernon County, and progressed to a teaching assignment at Garfield Hospital School of Nursing in Washington, D.C. Upon their return to La Crosse in 1961, she was appointed as the Director of La Crosse Public Health Nurses (1963-1965). In 1965, she assumed the duties of Director of Nursing Services at St. Francis Hospital, retiring from that position in 1969 due to her health.
Her accomplishments include: City Board of Health 1966-1970; State Board of Nursing 1967-1973; she served as Chair for La Crosse Mental Health & Mental Retardation Committee. She was a charter member of the Western Wisconsin Health Planning Organization and a member of the La Crosse District Nurses Association. For two years she served on the Wisconsin Department of Welfare Advisory Committee.
Charlotte was the first woman to chair the City-County Health Council. She was a member of the Catholic Women's League; and the Cathedral Women's Organization.
She is survived by six children, Jim (Jane Weigel) McArdle of Carmichael, Calif., Terry (Ally Schuetz) McArdle of Stoughton, Wis., Mike (Marianne Marcou) McArdle of La Crosse, Wis., Mary Ellen ``Myk'' (Gail Behrens) of Minneapolis, Minn., Kevin (Sue Haedt) McArdl of Stillwater, Minn., and Mark (Peg St. John) McArdle of Livonia, Mich.; eleven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, James in 1984.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the St. Joseph the Workman Cathedral on Saturday, January 10, 1998, at 10:30 a.m. The Reverends Robert Cook and Bernard McGarty will concelebrate, with entombment to be in the St. Francis of Asissi Mausoleum in Catholic Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Blaschke Funeral Home, 401 West Ave. So., on Friday from 5 to 8 p.m., with a prayer service to be at 7:30 p.m. Friends may also call at the funeral home on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until time of services.

Sidonie G. Kelly
ST. PAUL, Minn. - Sidonie G. Kelly, age 82, of St. Paul, Minn., died Jan. 6, 1998.
She was preceded in death by daughters, Kathleen and Dianne Elizabeth; and son, Sean Anton; sisters, Eugenie and Jeanette.
Survived by her husband of 48 years, J. Donald; and sister, Catherine Pinker. She is also survived by sons-in-law, Chris Cuneo and Thomas Montgomery.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 13, at St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church, 1640 Montreal Ave. There will be a private inurnment.
Memorials preferred to American Cancer Society or Our Lady of Good Counsel Home.

CALEDONIA, Wis. - Carl M. Diersen, 87, of Caledonia, died Tuesday, Jan. 6, 1998, at the Lutheran Home, Caledonia.
Funeral services will be Friday at 1:30 p.m. from St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church and burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery, both in Caledonia.

Selma Tietze
Selma Tietze, 94, a resident of the Bethany St. Joseph Care Center, died on Wednesday, January 7th, 1998, at the Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center.
She was born on March 24, 1903, in Chaseburg, Wis., to John and Louise (Springer) Lietke. She married Gustave O. Tietze on June 16, 1923, in Winona, Minn. Selma was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church in the Town of Hamburg, Wis., until she moved to La Crosse in 1947. She joined Mount Calvary Ev. Lutheran Church in La Crosse and had been a member until the time of her death. Selma had worked at Lutheran Hospital for over 18 years until her retirement in 1966.
She is survived by two daughters, Louise (Benjamin) Helke of Stoddard, Wis., and Dorothy (Kenneth) Severson of Holmen, Wis.; six grandchildren, Benjamin (Diane) Helke of La Crosse, Michael (Holly) Helke of La Crosse, Kristine (Lawrence) De Bauche of La Crosse, Gloria (Tony) Seever of Stoddard, Sharon (Wendell) Pfaff of Mindoro, Wis., and Arlin (Karla) Severson of La Crosse; twelve great-grandchildren, Eric, Angie (Paul) Franke, Danielle, Brandon, Julia, Elizabeth, Joshua, Cassandra, William, Jennifer, Lucas and Hayley; one sister, Louise (Ludwig) Grosskopf of Bangor, Wis.; and a brother, Herbert (Edna) Lietke of La Crosse.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gustave; an infant daughter, Karen; a sister, Minnie Neurauter; a brother, Eddie Lietke; and an infant sister and infant brother.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 10th, 1998, at 11 a.m. at Mount Calvary Ev. Lutheran Church. The Rev. Edward C. Ungemach III will officiate. Burial will be held on Saturday at 2 p.m. at St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery in the town of Hamburg.
Friends may call at the Schumacher-Kish Funeral Home of La Crosse on Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. and at the church on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of services. A prayer service will be held Friday evening at 6:45 p.m.
Alta M. Hagen
Alta M. Hagen, 82, of La Crosse, died at Bethany St. Joseph Care Center, on Tuesday, January 6, 1998.
She was born March 1, 1915, in Monroe County, to Evan and Hilda (Olson) Erickson. She married Riley F. Hagen. He preceded her in death on September 24, 1975.
She was a retired teacher, having taught in both rural schools and in the La Crosse Public School System.
She is survived by a brother, Harley Erickson.
Funeral services will be Friday at 10:30 a.m. at Our Savior's Lutheran Church. The Rev. Rachel Thorson-Mithelman will officiate. Burial will be in the Portland Lutheran Church Cemetery, rural Cashton. Friends may call at he church on Friday from 9:30 a.m. until the service.

STODDARD/WESTBY, Wis. - Henry Linrud, 88, of Stoddard and formerly of the Westby area, died Wednesday morning, January 7, 1998, in La Crosse.
Funeral services will be held on Monday at 2 p.m. from Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Westby. Burial will be in the Coon Prairie Cemetery.
