Charlotte E. Jarzemski
Charlotte E. Jarzemski, 74, of La Crosse, died on Tuesday, January 20, 1998, at the Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center.
She was born on June 27, 1923, in La Crosse to Thomas and Lucille (Spears) Pittman. She married Edmund Jarzemski on September 28, 1946, in La Crosse. Charlotte was a member of the Women of the Moose Lodge 1526, La Crosse, and a member of the National Catholic Foresters.
In addition to her husband, Edmund, she is survived by two daughters, Susan (Kim) Krueger of Sparta, Wis., and Sarah (Richard) Luebke of Wisconsin Dells; two sons, David Jarzemski of Mankato, Minn., and Donald (Barbara) Jarzemski of Onalaska, Wis.; five grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; and three brothers, Meredith (Charlotte) Pittman of Lyndon, Kansas, and John (Delores) Pittman and Gilbert (Margaret) Pittman, both of Wichita, Kansas. She was preceded in death by a brother, Elwin Pittman.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, January 23, 1998, at St. Thomas More Catholic Church. The Rev. Joseph Rafacz will officiate. Entombment will be in the St. Francis of Assisi Mausoleum, Catholic Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Schumacher-Kish Funeral Home of La Crosse on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and at the church on Friday from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service. A rosary will be recited at the funeral home, Thursday at 6 p.m. The Women of the Moose will conduct a service at 7:30 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be directed to the American Cancer Society.
Robert Shaw
TOMAH, Wis. - Robert Shaw, 58, of Tomah, died Tuesday, Jan. 20, 1998, at Tomah Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. at Light House Assembly of God Church in Tomah.
Friends may call at White Funeral Home from 4 until 8 p.m. on Friday and on Saturday at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of services.
Palma ``Polly'' McKeeth
GALESVILLE- Palma ``Polly'' McKeeth, 94, lifetime Galesville resident, died Tuesday, January 20, 1998, in Family Heritage Care Center, Black River Falls, Wis., where she had been a residence since May 1, 1985.
She was born August 12, 1903, in Gale Township, Trempealeau Co., Wis., to Peter and Gurina (Erickson) Westlie. On May 28, 1927, she married Miles P. McKeeth. As a couple they farmed in Galesville. He died Feb. 11, 1981.
Polly was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Galesville and its Sarah Circle of the W.-E.L.C.A.
Survivors are a son, Daniel (Marilyn) McKeeth of Black River Falls; a granddaughter, Mari McKeeth of Normal, Ill.; a brother, George Vilas (Audrey) Westlie of Huntington Beach, Calif., and numerous nieces and nephews.
Besides her husband she was preceded in death by six sisters and four brothers.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday, January 23, 1998, in Zion Lutheran Church, Galesville, with Revs. M.C. Parkhurst and Arnold Flater officiating. Spring burial in Pine Cliff Cemetery, Galesville.
Friends may call at the church from 11:30 a.m. until services at the church on Friday.

Alice K. Zwicke
BLACK RIVER FALLS, Wis. - Alice K. Zwicke, 98, of Black River Falls, died Wednesday morning, Jan. 21, 1998, in Pine View Nursing Home where she had resided since Dec. 10, 1986.
Funeral services will be Friday at 10 a.m. from the Buswell Funeral Home, Black River Falls, and entombment will be on Monday in the Garden Mausoleum at Wisconsin Memorial Park, Brookfield, Wis.

HILLSBORO, Wis. - William S. Postel, 69, of Hillsboro, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 20, 1998, at the St. Joseph's Memorial Hospital in Hillsboro.
Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. at the Picha Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Burial will be in the Mount Vernon Cemetery, Hillsboro.

WINONA, Minn. - James L. Price, 48, died Monday, Jan. 19, 1998, in the C&R Unit of Community Memorial Hospital in Winona following a long courageous battle with cancer.
A memorial service is planned for Saturday at 12 p.m. in Vineyard Christian Church, Caledonia, Minn. Additional services are planned on Saturday, Jan. 31, at 12 p.m. in St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Minneapolis.
Memorials are suggested to the Winona Hospice.

Myrtle O. Otto
PRAIRIE DU CHIEN, Wis. - Myrtle O. Otto, 97, a lifetime resident of Prairie du Chien died Tuesday, Jan. 20, 1998, at the Sunnyhill Care Center, Madison, Wis.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at St. Gabriel's Catholic Church, with burial in the Calvary Cemetery, both in Prairie du Chien.
Friends may call after 4 p.m. on Friday at the Garrity Funeral Home in Prairie du Chien where there will be a rosary at 4:15 p.m. and a wake scripture at 7:30 p.m. Friends may also call at the funeral home on Saturday from 10 a.m. until departure for the church.
Raymond D. Gilbeck
COON VALLEY, Wis. - Raymond D. Gilbeck, 78, of Coon Valley, died Wednesday morning, January 21, 1998, at Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center, La Crosse.
He was born May 18, 1919, in the town of Portland, Monroe Co., to Alfred and Anna (Hanson) Gilbeck. He was baptized and confirmed at Skogdalen Lutheran Church where he was a lifelong member. On June 9, 1951, he married Hilda Becker in La Crosse. The couple farmed their married life in the Town of Coon. Ray also hauled milk for over 15 years. He greatly enjoyed hunting, fishing and snowmobiling.
Surviving are his wife, Hilda; one son, Gary (Terry) of Coon Valley; one stepson, Ray (Marilyn) Solberg of Beloit; one grandson, Chad of La Crosse; two sisters, Alice (Elmer) Amundson of Rockland and Edna (James) Dahlen of Cashton; one brother, Virgil (Beverly) of Cashton; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Lloyd, Chester and Clarence.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Skogdalen Lutheran Church, rural Westby. Rev. Gary Danies will officiate with burial in the church cemetery.
Friends may call at the Seland Funeral Home in Coon Valley Friday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. with a prayer service at 8:30 p.m. and at the church on Saturday from 1 p.m. until the time of services.
The family requests memorials to the Skogdalen Building Fund.
Molly M. Neururer
LA CRESCENT, Minn. - Molly M. Neururer, 76, of 811 Spruce Drive, La Crescent, died on Tuesday, January 20, 1998, at the La Crescent Health Care Center.
She was born on January 29, 1921, in Manchester, England, to John and Matilda (McNulty) Malone. She married Raymond Neururer on June 16, 1945, in Manchester, England. Molly was an avid reader. She also enjoyed poetry, music and writing. She was a member of Crucifixion parish.
She is survived by her husband, Raymond; two daughters, Paula (Stephen) Krenzke of La Crescent and Julie Neururer and her husband, David Rotholz, of Columbia, South Caroline. Five grandchildren, Kate, John, Philip and Genna Krenzke and Jonah Rotholz. Two sisters, Meg (Frank) Daniels of London, Ontario, Canada, and Jo Ryan and Sarnia, Ontario, Canada. She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant daughter; and a brother, John.
A private family service will take place at a later date. The Schumacher-Kish Funeral Home of La Crescent is in charge of arrangements.
Fritz Nicklaus
MILWAUKEE, Wis. - Fritz Nicklaus, age 76, died Sunday, January 11, 1998. He was the beloved husband of Maria (Nee Engl), dearest father of Gerhard and Fred (Kate) Nicklaus, loving grandfather of Kirk and Samantha and fond brother of the late Gerhard. He is further survived by other relatives and friends.
Funeral services are Monday, January 19, at 6 p.m. at Bruskiewitz Forest Lane Chapel, 355 W. Forest Home Ave., Milwaukee, Wis. Private interment in Holy Trinity Cemetery. Visitation at the funeral home from 4 p.m. until time of service. Special thanks to the staff of Hillview Care Center for their kindness and care.
