NECEDAH/CAMP DOUGLAS, Wis. - Glenn H. Easton, 90, of Necedah and formerly of Camp Douglas, died Sunday, Aug. 2, 1998, in Tomah Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be 11 a.m Saturday in St. Peter's Lutheran Church, and burial will be in St. John's Cemetery, both Shennington, Wis. The White Funeral Home, Tomah, is assisting the family with arrangements.

VIOLA, Wis. - Maye C. Hankins, 94, of Viola, died Monday, Aug. 3, 1998, in Vernon Memorial Hospital, Viroqua. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday in Viola United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Viola Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Henthorn Memorial Center, Viola; and after 1 p.m. Thursday at the church. The Larson Funeral Home, Viroqua, is assisting the family.
Dorothy M. Jennings
VIROQUA, Wis. - Dorothy M. Jennings, 91, of Viroqua, died Sunday, Aug. 2, 1998, at the Vernon Manor in Viroqua. She was born June 16, 1907, in Vernon County, to Frank and Mary (Best) Robinson. She was united in marriage to Lloyd Jennings on March 18, 1926. They farmed in the Bishop Branch area for 17 years, and then lived in Viroqua for a short time before moving to Asbury Ridge. Lloyd died on Nov. 1, 1966. In more recent years, Dorothy has lived in Viroqua. She was a member of the Viroqua Church of Christ, Bishop Branch Homemakers, and was a 4-H leader.
Dorothy is survived by two daughters, Lorraine Stalsberg of Viroqua and Darlene (Richard) Ammerman of Holmen; one sister, Vyrus (John) Huschka of Viroqua; eight grandchildren, Cindy (James) Harter, Beth (Ole) Clancy, Rhonda (Mike) Welch and Rhenea (Dennis) Glick, all of Viroqua, Tammy (Gary) Nelson of Colorado Springs, Colo., Daniel "Boone" (Dawn) Stalsberg of Viroqua, Randy (Jeanne) Ammerman of Holmen, and Rodney (Julie) Ammerman of Savage, Minn.; 19 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by one son-in-law, Mansel Stalsberg; two brothers, Lawrence and Kenneth Robinson; and three sisters, Frances Duncan, Janeice Glynn and Jennie Buckles.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 5, 1998, at 11 a.m. in the Viroqua Church of Christ. Pastors Ron Ahlgren and Joe Adams will officiate, with burial in the Viroqua Cemetery. Friends may call at the Larson Funeral Home in Viroqua today from 4 to 7 p.m. Friends may also call at the church on Wednesday after 10 a.m.

CASHTON, Wis - Rev. Walter Haines Keech, 83, of Cashton, died Sunday, Aug. 2, 1998, in William S. Middleton Memorial Veteran's Hospital, Madison, Wis. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday from First Portland Evangelical Lutheran Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Relatives and friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Torkelson Funeral Chapel, Cashton, and from 10 a.m. until the time of services.
Erva E. Hancock
TOMAH, Wis. - Erva E. Hancock, 89, of Tomah, died Tue, Aug. 4, 1998, at the Tomah Health Care Center. She was born Dec. 4, 1908, to William and Amelia (Gehrke) Krause in the town of Wilton, Monroe County, Wisconsin. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Wilton. Erva graduated from Wilton High School in 1926. She attended Teachers Training in Tomah and Wisconsin University at La Crosse, eraning a bachelor's degree in education. Prior to her retirement, she taught for 40 years. Seventeen years were in rural schools in the Wilton and Tomah area, and 23 years in the Tomah Junior High. She was united in marriage to Elmer Hancock on May 17, 1933. He preceded her death Feb.26, 1995. She was an active and faithful member of St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church at Tomah.
She is survived by 3 sisters, Esther Martin and Emma Ziegler, both of Tomah and Margaret Muehlenkamp of La Crosse. She is further survived by 3 nephews, Terrance Muehlenkamp of San Antonio, Texas, Richard (Linda) Martin of Kendall, and Thomas (Bridget) Muehlenkamp of Center Valley Penn.; one niece, Mary (Peter) Beke of Cherry Valley, Ill.; and many other nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her parents; a brother Arnold Krause; and a sister Arvilla Krause. Funeral services will be held on Friday Aug. 7, 1998 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, 525 Superior Ave.,Tomah. Rev. Donald R. Buch will officiate. Burial will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery at Tomah.
Relatives and friends are invited to call at the church on Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. The family requests memorials be given to St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church in her memory. The Sonnenburg Family Lutheran Home, Tomah, is assisting the family with arrangements.
Minnie B. Jacobson
Minnie B. Jacobson, 91, of La Crosse died Sunday Aug. 2, 1998, at the Franciscan Skemp Healthcare Nursing Home. She was born in Fillmore County, Chatfield, Minn., on April 30, 1907, the daughter of William and Emma (Schwandt) Sabatke. Before her marriage she was a country school teacher, teaching grades 1 through 8. She married Leonard O. Jacobson on Dec. 24, 1928. He died on April 19, 1988. Following her marriage, Minnie had worked at the Harmony Cafe and at Victor's Cafe, both of La Crosse, as a cook and waitress. The joy in Minnie's life was her family.
She is survived by four children, Marian (Don) Skarda of Wisconsin Dells, Wis., Marie (Jerry) Mosher of La Crosse and Mesa, Ariz., Robert (Carla) Jacobson of La Selva Beach, Calif. and Shirley (Harold) Yeske of La Crosse; twelve grandchildren; twenty-four great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and her sister, Hulda, age 103, residing in a Spring Valley, Minn., nursing home. In addition to her husband, Leonard, she was preceded in death by two grandsons, John Rogers and Mark Skarda; three brothers, Louis, Theodore, and Arthur; and three sisters, Dora, Ella, and Clara.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday Aug., 7 1998, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, La Crosse. The Rev. John Parcher will officiate. Burial will be in the Mormon Coulee Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Friday from noon until the time of service. The Schumacher-Kish Funeral Home of La Crosse is in charge of the arrangements.
The staff of the Franciscan Skemp Healthcare Nursing Home has cared for Minnie with love, concern, and patience. For this and all of their thoughtfulness, her family is forever grateful.

Thomas E. Sonsalla
ONALASKA/ARCADIA, Wis. - Thomas E. Sonsalla, 90, of Onalaska, Wis., and formerly of Arcadia, Wis., died Monday, Aug. 3, 1998, at the Onalaska Nursing Home in Onalaska., Wis.
He was born in Arcadia, Wis., on Aug. 8, 1907, to Paul and Mary (Warzeka) Sonsalla. Tom worked at the Bucyrus Erie Co. in Milwaukee, Wis., and retired in 1973.
He is survived by one brother, Joe (Genevieve) Sonsalla of Milwaukee, Wis.; one sister, Angeline (Aloise) Prokup of Independence, Wis.; five nieces; and 15 nephews.
Tom was preceded in death by his sisters and brothers, Stella, Helen, Monica, Benny, Paul and Ernest.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 12:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 6, 1998, at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Arcadia, Wis., with Rev. Raymond Pedretti officiating. Burial will be in St. Stanislaus Cemetery.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. to noon Thursday at the Killian Funeral Home, Arcadia.

Donald Fairbanks, 88, formerly of La Crosse, died Sunday, July 19, 1998, in Las Vegas, Nev. He was born in La Crosse and lived here most of his life. A memorial service will be 4 p.m. Saturday in St. Luke's United Methodist Church, La Crosse.

TOMAH, Wis. - Mildred "Millie" Sorenson, 72, of Tomah, died Sunday, Aug. 2, 1998, in her home. Private family services will be in the White Funeral Home, and burial will will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery, both in Tomah.
Mary C. Dunlap
ELROY, Wis. - Mary C. Dunlap, 85, of Elroy, died Tuesday, Aug. 4, 1998, at the Heritage Manor Nursing Home, Elroy. She was born on Aug. 24, 1912, in Richland County, Wis., to Emery and Irene (Mellom) Shelby. On June 2, 1934, she was united in marriage to Crosby Dunlap in Tomah. He preceded her in death on Jan. 22, 1991. Mary was a homemaker and also a member of the Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church.
Survivors include four children, Donna (Art) Nelson of Elroy, Joye (Ed) Brown of Elroy, Kaye (Richard) Bunk of Elroy, and Gary (Jeanne) Dunlap of Onalaska; 17 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and one brother, Delbert (Gaye) Shelby of Colorado.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Gene Arnold; two grandchildren; and two brothers, Frank and Virgil.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Aug. 6, 1998, at 11 a.m. at the Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Elroy, with Rev. Conrad Prell officiating. Burial will be held in the Elroy City Cemetery. Friends may call at the Picha Funeral Home, Elroy, today from 5 to 8 p.m., and at the church on Thursday from 10 to 11 a.m.
