Lloyd A. Allds
HILLSBORO, Wis. - Lloyd A. Allds, 95, of Hillsboro, died on Saturday, Aug. 8, 1998, at St. Joseph's Nursing Home in Hillsboro. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Tuesday at the First Congregational Church in Hillsboro. Friends may call from 6 until 8 p.m. on Monday at the Fick-Hoof Funeral Home in Hillsboro where a Masonic Service will be held at 7:30 p.m.

Orlin T. Ellingson
BLACK RIVER FALLS, Wis. - Orlin T. Ellingson, 71, of 524 Chestnut St., Black River Falls, died Friday evening, Aug. 7, 1998, in his home.
He was born on June 14, 1927, in Ellingson Coulee, town of Northfield, Jackson County, to Theodore and Helen Ruth (Stark) Ellingson. He married the former Patricia Nordahl on July 16, 1952, at the Upper Pigeon Creek Lutheran Church, Northfield. Orlin was a retired driver for Janesville Auto Transport.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia; two daughters, Mary (Randy) Eddy of Black River Falls and Kathy (John) Grzybowski of Eau Claire; two sons, John (Jane) Ellingson of Black River Falls and Roger (Jackie) Ellingson of Alma Center; eight grandchildren, Andrew, Melissa, Chad, Justin and Jessica Ellingson, Kelly and Greg Eddy and Katie Grzybowski; two sisters, Marion (James) Esser of Spooner and Elaine (Jerry) Hoff of Stevens Point; and a brother, Lyle (Jill) Ellingson of Merrillan.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, Aug. 11, 1998, at 10:30 a.m. from the Evangelical Lutheran Church and burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, both in Black River Falls.
Friends may call at the Buswell Funeral Home, Black River Falls, on Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. and at the church on Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. until services.
Memorials may be given to the Black River Falls Evangelical Lutheran Church or the Pine View Nursing Home Auxiliary.

Wallace A. Paulson
ARCADIA, Wis. - Wallace A. Paulson, 74, died Friday, July 24, 1998 in Tomah Care Center, Tomah, Wis. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Fagernes Lutheran Church. Burial, with military rites, will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to services Wednesday in the church. Wozney Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Harriet G. Guepfer
Harriet G. Guepfer, 68, of La Crosse, died on Friday, July 24, 1998 at the Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center.
She was born on Oct. 18, 1929 in La Crosse to Ellett and Harriet G. (Dilks) Howard. She married Joseph Guepfer on June 16, 1950 in La Crosse. Although having divorced at a later date, they have remained good friends. Harriet had worked at the La Crosse Trane Co. for 42 years and retired in 1988. She was a member of the Trane 25 Year Club and the La Crosse Traffic Club.
She is survived by three daughters, Carol (Larry) Howe and Gail Guepfer, both of Onalaska and Nancy Guepfer and her fiancee, Dave Case, of Solon, Ohio; two sons, Howard (Nancy) of La Crosse and David (Donna) of Onalaska; five grandchildren, David, Ryan, Kyle, Kayla and Makenna; two step-grandchildren, Mike and Mandy; two sisters, Irene (Joseph) Brown of La Crosse and Mary Howard; a brother, William (Marlene) Howard of La Crosse; and a special friend, Roland ``Rollie'' Beranek of La Crosse.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Monday, July 27, 1998 at the Schumacher-Kish Funeral Home of La Crosse. The Rev. William J. Reese will officiate. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 12:30 p.m. until the time of service.

Robert R. Janikowski
DAKOTA, Minn. - Robert R. Janikowski, 58, of Dakota, Minn. died on Friday, July 24, 1998, at his home.
He was born on Oct. 30, 1939, in Winona, Minn. to David and Marie (Armitage) Janikowski. He married Bonnie Lynn Beach in August of 1968 in La Crosse. Bob served with the U.S. Navy from 1958 to 1963 and was a member of Gittens-Leidel American Legion Post 595 in La Crescent. He had worked at Allied Signal Laminated Systems of La Crosse for over 30 years. Bob was an avid baseball fan and had managed and played for the Dakota Baseball Team.
He is survived by his former wife, Bonnie of Dakota; a daughter, Holly Jane Janikowski of St. Paul, Minn.; a son, Paul Robert and his fiancee, Michelle Marie Mauss of La Crosse; a twin sister, Betty (Arnold) Olson of La Crescent; and a brother, Glen (Fran) Janikowski of Dakota. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Irene Manley.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, July 28, 1998 at the Schumacher-Kish Funeral Home of La Crescent. The Rev. Mark A. Anderson will officiate. Burial, with military honors by American Legion Post 595, will be in the Oakland Cemetery, Dresbach, Minn. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. and again on Tuesday from 12 noon until the time of service.

Gene J. Taylor
TUNNEL CITY, Wis. - Gene J. Taylor, 75, of Tunnel City, died Friday, July 24, 1998 at home. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in the First Congregational United Church of Christ, Tomah. Burial will be in the Memorial Garden, Oak Grove Cemetery, in Tomah, with military honors by Tomah American Legoin Post #201. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Sonnenburg Funeral Home, Tomah; and one hour prior to services Monday in the church. Family request memorials be given to Tomah Hospice Touch in his memory.

Roman G. Hartman
CADOTT/LA CROSSE, Wis. - Roman G. Hartman, 86, of Bethany St. Joseph's Care Center in La Crosse, and formerly of the Cadott area, passed away on Friday, July 24, 1998 at the center.
Roman was born Oct. 12, 1911 on the family farm in Tilden, the son of Godfrey and Theresa (Bohacek) Hartman. He attended St. Peter's School in Tilden and graduated from McDonnel High School in 1928. In 1945, Roman and Rita Rada were married in Batavia, New York. He lived and worked on the family farm in Tilden with Rita and his sister, Marceline Hartman, until 1975 when he and Rita moved to his own farm in the Cobban area until 1995.
As a young man, Roman was very active in 4-H. He was a member of the Catholic Order of Foresters of St. Peter's Church in Tilden and Sacred Heart Church in Jim Falls. He enjoyed fishing and hunting with his best friend and brother-in-law, Dick Koshoshek.
Roman is survived by his wife, Rita; one daughter, Sandra (Rod) Van Tol of La Crosse; one sister, Marceline Hartman of Chippewa Falls; one granddaughter, Tracy (Dean) Smith; and three great-grandchildren, Katie, Robin and James Smith, all of La Crosse; one nephew, Ron (Karen) Koshoshek of Cornell Lake; and one niece, Judy (Fred) Fey of Minnesota.
Roman was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Elaine Koshoshek, and one grandson, Curtis Van Tol.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 28, 1998 at St. Peter's Church, in Tilden. Reverend William Felix wil be celebrant of the funeral Mass. Interment will be in St. Peter's Cemetery, town of Tilden.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. on Monday, July 27, 1998 and until 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday at the Horan Funeral Home, Chippewa Falls. There will be a Christian Vigil Service at 7 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.

Charles R. Holmes
TOMAH, Wis. - Charles R. Holmes, 85, of Tomah, died Friday, July 24, 1998, at the Tomah Health Care Center. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday in the Tomah Baptist Church, Tomah. Burial will be with military honors by Tomah American Legion Post #201 in the Warren-Mills Cemetery at Warrens, Wis. Relatives and friends are invited to call from 11 a.m. until the time of services Tuesday at the church. The Sonnenburg Family Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Margie C. Pettera
WILTON, Wis. - Margie C. Pettera, 74, of Wilton, died Friday, July 24, 1998 at Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center, La Crosse. Funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Wilton. Burial will be at the Hillside Cemetery, Wilton. Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. Monday at the Smith-Nelson Funeral Home, Wilton; and one hour prior to services Tuesday at the church.

Deborah M. Williams
SPARTA, Wis. - Deborah M. Williams, 40, of Sparta, died Saturday, July 25, 1998 at Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center, La Crosse. Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Gospel Baptist Church, Sparta. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery, Sparta. Friends may call from 1:30 p.m. until services Tuesday in the church. The Lanham-Kann Funeral Home, Sparta, is in charge of funeral arrangements.
