Leone G. Thorud
ONALASKA, Wis. - Leone G. Thorud, 62, died at St. Joseph's Rehabilitation Center, on Friday, July 31, 1998. She was born Nov. 13, 1935, at La Crosse, to Leo and Helen (Folkedahl) Abraham. She had been employed by the G. Heileman Brewery for twenty years prior to her retirement.
She is survived by her mother, Helen Williams of La Crosse and by three brothers, Richard (Mary) Abraham of La Crosse, James (Barb) Williams of Durand, Wis. and Tracey (Debbie) Williams of St. Paul, Minn.
Private family funeral services will be Monday at the Dickinson Family Funeral Home, 401 Main St., Onalaska. Burial will be in the Ettrick Cemetery. There will be no visitation.
Anna Marie Atkinson
VIROQUA, Wis. - Anna Marie Atkinson, 79, of 402 Woods End in Viroqua died on Friday morning, July 31, 1998, at the Bethel Home in Viroqua, where she had been a resident since Monday, July 27. She was born on June 10, 1919, in Viroqua to Winston and Sarah ``Sally'' (Levine) Moore. She graduated from Viroqua High School in 1937 and attended Sparta Business College. She worked in Viroqua prior to moving to Denver, Colo., where she married Harry MeGregor. He died in 1977 and on Jan. 1, 1978, she married Willard Atkinson at Santa Barbara, Calif. On Sept. 15, 1993, she suffered a stroke which limited her mobility and on Feb. 7, 1995, they moved to Viroqua.
She is survived by her husband, Willard ``Will'' Atkinson of Viroqua and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents. No local services were held and burial will take place in the Santa Maria Cemetery in Santa Maria, California. The Thorson Funeral Home of Viroqua is serving the family.
Roy B. Kastad
PIGEON FALLS, Wis. - Roy B. Kastad, 92, of Pigeon Falls, Wis., died on Sunday, July 19, 1998, in Pigeon Falls Health Care Center in Pigeon Falls, Wis. Graveside services will be held in the Arcadia Public Cemetery in Arcadia, Wis., at 6:30 p.m. on Sunday. Jack Funeral Home in Whitehall, Wis., assisted the family with arrangements.
Darrel L. Coulson
TOMAH, Wis. - Darrel L. Coulson, 39, of Tomah, died Thursday, July 30, 1998, at the Veterans Administration Medical Center. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 2 p.m. at Bethel Baptist Church, rural Camp Douglas. Burial will be in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery, Cutler. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the Sonnenburg Family Funeral Home, Tomah, on Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. and at the church on Monday from 1 p.m. until the time of the services.
Mary Kay Wuensch
ONALASKA, Wis. - Mary Kay Wuensch, 53, of Onalaska, died Thursday, July 30, 1998, at the Franciscan Skemp Healthcare Center, La Crosse.
She was born on Sept. 17, 1944, in La Crosse to Vernon and Leona (Parmenter) Knudson. She graduated from Bangor High School in 1962. She represented La Crosse as Miss Oktoberfest, 1963. She attended the University of Wisconsin at Madison and the University of Wisconsin at La Crosse, where she met her husband. She married Marc Wuensch on Jan. 29, 1966.
Mary Kay's life was centered on her faith in God. She devoted her tireless energy and love on her family. As a military wife she provided a stable environment for her children through sixteen moves and was mother and father during Marc's many absences for military duties. After military service, the family lived in Bangor for ten years. There were then moves to Rochester, Minn. and Altoona, Wis., before Marc and Mary Kay settled in Onalaska to be near her mother, children and grandchildren.
Mary Kay always put her family's needs before her own. We will miss her glowing smile that lifted everyone's spirits. She always took time for others. Her loveliness, vibrance and charm were God's gifts to her and her legacy to everyone she touched. Mary Kay was a living wife and companion to her husband, a proud and giving mother and grandmother, a devoted daughter and a compassionate friend.
Mary Kay is survived by her husband, Marc of Onalaska, Wis.; two daughters, Marla (Troy) Duerwachter of Onalaska, Wis. and Michelle (Brent) Burkhardt of Holmen, Wis.; a son, Paul (Karyn) of Honolulu, Hawaii; her mother, Leona Knudson of Bangor, Wis.; a brother, Doug (Lyn) Knudson of Madison, Wis.; and three beloved grandchildren, Tyler and Alicia Duerwachter and Chelsea Burkhardt.
She was preceded in death by her infant son, Andrew John Wuensch; her father, Vernon Knudson; and her sister, Diane Knudson.
Funeral services will be held at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Bangor, Wis., at 11 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 3. The Reverends Roy Hefti and Norris Baumann will officiate. Burial will be at the Neshonic Cemetery in West Salem. Friends may call at the Fossum Funeral Home, Onalaska, from 4 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 2, and from 10 a.m. until the time of services at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Bangor.
Memorials may be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church of Onalaska.

Lynn M. Gregory
Lynn M. Gregory, 36, of La Crosse died on Tuesday, September 2, 1997, at the Franciscan Skemp Medical Center.
She was born on June 5, 1961, in Madison, Wis., to Donald and Joan (Boeker) Stein. She married Todd L. Gregory on July 8, 1995, in La Crosse. Lynn had worked at Roy L. Vingers American Legion, Post 52, for 18 years. She was a wonderful, caring and giving person and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
In addition to her husband, Todd, she is survived by two stepsons, Luke J. of La Crosse and Corey J. of West Salem, Wis.; her mother, Joan of La Crosse; her father, Donald of La Crosse; two sisters, Cheryll (Branden) Adams of Rapid City, S.D., and Vicki (Dean) Wagner of La Crosse; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, September 5, 1997, at First Presbyterian Church. The Rev. Michael Frandsen will officiate. Burial will be at a later date.
Friends may call at the church on Friday from 12:30 p.m. until the time of service.

OCONOMOWOC, Wis. - Page Albert Johnson, 91, recently a resident at Shorehaven Health Center, Oconomowoc, Wis., died Sept. 2, 1997. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Kiwanis International of Oconomowoc, the Page A. Johnson Tennis Scholarship at Lawrence University, Appleton, Wis., or the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
He is survived by his sister, Bernice Johnson Tuttle Christison of Tudor Oaks, Hales Corners, Wis.; two daughters, Judy Johnson Phillips (Stan) of Van Nuys, Calif., and Trudy Johnson Gibbs (Dr. Erich) of Wilmette, Ill.; plus three grandchildren, Dr. Erika Stork (Dr. William) of Lake Mills, Wis., Steven Phillips (Tanja) of Denver, Colo., and Laura Gibbs of Pasadena, Calif.; and three great-grandchildren, Daniel Phillips, Paige Stork and William Phillips.
Page was on the State High School Basketball Championship Team from Fond du Lac, Wis., in 1924 and he lettered in tennis at Lawrence University (then College) in Appleton. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison (Civil Engineering) in 1928. He was the City Engineer of Fond du Lac, Wis., in the late 1930's. In the early 1940's he joined the Portland Cement Association as a field engineer and represented the Association in southwest Wisconsin until retirement in 1962.
Burial will be at the Rienzi Cemetery in Fond du Lac.
Memorial funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 6, at Shorehaven Health Center, Oconomowoc. Arrangements were handled by the Pabenkopf Funeral Home, (414) 567-4457.
Randy J. Schmidt
Randy J. Schmidt, 45, of La Crosse, died on Wednesday, September 3, 1997, at Franciscan Skemp Medical Center, after a courageous battle from a malignant brain tumor.
He was born April 26, 1952, in La Crosse, to Herbert and Lucille (Hess) Schmidt. He was a 1970 graduate of Aquinas High School and had attended U.W.L. before enlisting in the Navy, where he served for four years. He was an employee of the City of La Crosse Waste Water Treatment Plant for twenty years. He was an avid outdoorsman, and enjoyed skiing, camping and bicycling. He had participated in the M.S. 150, a bicycle ride from Minneapolis to Duluth for many years.
He is survived by his parents of La Crosse; by three sisters, Catherine (Jim) Jambois of Onalaska, Mary (Daniel) Johnson of Winona and Karen (John) Case of South Bend, Indiana; by two brothers, Tom (Gay Lynn) Schmidt of Genoa and Joe (Nancy) Schmidt of La Crosse; by his maternal grandmother, Irene Hess of St. Joseph Ridge; by very special nieces and nephews, Ann Jambois, Colleen Case and Angie Johnston, John Jambois, Matthew, Michael and Jacob Johnson, Scott Case, David and Steven Schmidt and Brian Johnston.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents and maternal grandfather; and an infant sister, Laura.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church. The Reverend Larry Berger will officiate. Entombment will be in St. Francis of Assisi Mausoleum at Catholic Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Dickinson Family Funeral Home, 1425 Jackson St., Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. A scripture service will be conducted at 7:30 p.m.
Memorials may be given to the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation, the American Brain Tumor Association or the Aquinas Foundation.
