Oscar D. Goslin Jr.
SPARTA, Wis. - Oscar D. Goslin, Jr., 76, of rural Sparta, Wis. died on Wednesday, Nov. 18, 1998, at the Franciscan Skemp Medical Center in La Crosse. He was born Jan. 29, 1922, in New Jersey. He was a veteran and served with the Army in Normandy, during World War II and later worked for the Trane Company until his retirement.
He is survived by one sister, Jean Boon of Salem, New Jersey; one niece, Betty Jean Smith of New Jersey; special friends, Vincent and La Rita Bianchi of Sparta.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Dena in 1989; two brothers, George and Charles.
Private family services and burial will be held at a later date. The Fossum Funeral Home in Bangor is assisting the family with arrangements.
Sister Francilia Jordan, FSPA
Sister Francilia Jordan, Franciscan Sister of Perpetual Adoration, 94, died Tuesday, Nov. 17, 1998, at Villa St. Joseph.
Sister Francilia was born to Joseph and Margaret (Demmer) Jordan on Feb. 1, 1904, in Colby, Wis. Entering the teaching profession, she served as an elementary school teacher for fifty-one years in Catholic schools in Iowa, Washington and Wisconsin. She retired to St. Rose Convent in 1974 and to Villa St. Joseph in 1991.
Sister Francilia is survived by her Franciscan community; a sister, Mrs. Agnes Jensen, Spencer, Wis.; and many devoted nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by five brothers and seven sisters, including Sister M. Laurentine (Anna M.) Jordan, FSPA (d. 1979).
Friends may call after 3:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 20, when the body will be met at St. Rose Convent, La Crosse. A prayer service will take place Friday, Nov. 20, at 7:15 p.m., in Mary of the Angels Chapel. Reverend Edwin J. Thome, retired, St. Patrick Church, Onalaska, will preside at the Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, Nov. 21, at 10:30 a.m., in Mary of the Angels Chapel. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Catholic Cemetery, La Crosse.

Robert J. Waller
PRAIRIE DU CHIEN, Wis. - Robert J. Waller, 77, of Prairie du Chien, Wis. died Wednesday, Nov. 18, 1998, at the Prairie du Chien Memorial Hospital. He was born Sept. 4, 1921.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Peter's Lutheran Church and burial, with military rites, in the Evergreen Cemetery, both in Prairie du Chien. Friends may call after 4 p.m. on Friday at the Garrity Funeral Home in Prairie du Chien and at the church on Saturday from 9 a.m. until the time of services.
Don Evans
Don Evans was born in Sparta, Wis., on May 10, 1938. He was the son of Morgan and Lillian (Lange) Evans. Following graduation from Bangor High School, he entered the Air Force. On Dec. 22, 1962, in Barre Mills, Wis., he was united in marriage to Rosalind Kathleen Nuttleman. They lived in Waukesha, Wis., and in 1969, moved to West Salem, where he became part owner of Evans Implement, a John Deere dealership. For several years he was also a sales representative for AW Dynamometer.
In 1979, Don and his family moved to Amery, Wis. He worked for J.I. Case Corporation, and during his 14 year career with Case, held several different positions within the company, primarily within the area of dealer development.
At the time of his retirement from Case in 1995, Don and Rosalind lived in Burlington. Prior to moving back to Amery in the summer of 1998, Don was a sales representative for Floe Industries of McGregor, Minn. Don was a member of Ducks Unlimited and recently had joined the Amery Lions club.
Don died at his home in rural Amery on Friday, Nov. 13, 1998, at the age of 60 years.
Preceding him in death were his parents. Left to mourn his passing are his wife, Rosalind of Amery; his son, Jeffrey of Seattle, Wash.; and his daughter, Dawn LaFleur of Fairbanks, Alaska. He also leaves other relatives and many friends.
Memorial services for Don Evans were held on Tuesday, Nov. 17, 1998, at 2 p.m., from Grace Lutheran Church in Clear Lake, with the Rev. Ellery Groth officiating. Judy Weber was the organist for the service. Honorary casketbearers were George Thomas, Carl Newton, Charles Bena, Don Weber, Larry Bauer and Bob Pabst.

BLACK RIVER FALLS, Wis. - Robert E. ``Butch'' Carisch, 77, of Black River Falls, died Monday, Nov. 23, 1998, in Black River Memorial Hospital. Funeral services with full military honors will be 1 p.m. Saturday from Black River Falls United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery at a later date. PRAIRIE DU CHIEN, Wis. - Gladys C. Lang, 88, of Prairie du Chien and formerly of Marquette, Iowa, died Tuesday, Nov. 24, 1998, in Prairie Health Care Center, Prairie du Chien. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday in the Thornburg-Hanson Funeral Home, Prairie du Chien. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery, McGregor, Iowa. William A. Mlsna
CASHTON, Wis. - William A. Mlsna, 92, of Cashton, died Monday, Nov. 23, 1998, at the Rolling Hills Nursing Home in Sparta. He was born June 27, 1906, to Joseph and Wilhelmina (Klatz) Mlsna, in the town of Greenfield, La Crosse County. Bill was united in marriage to Elizabeth Brueggen on Nov. 4, 1930, at the St. Mary's Ridge Catholic Church. They were married until her death in 1996.
William is survived by five children, Lorraine (Eugene) Olson of Sparta, Alred (Norma) Mlsna of Tomah, Adeline Clements of La Crosse, Barbara (Robert) Walker of Norwalk, and Charlotte (Byron) Schmitz of Sparta; one sister, Anna Spaeth; 15 grandchildren; and 31 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife; one son, LaVerne; three brothers, Joseph, Jacob and John; and four sisters, Mary Karl, Rose Rademacher, Margaret Brueggen and Elizabeth Rademacher.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Nov. 27, 1998, at 11 a.m. from Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Cashton. Burial will follow in the St. Mary's Ridge Cemetery. Father Joseph Hirsch will officiate. Relatives and friends may call at the Torkelson Funeral Chapel in Cashton on Thursday, Nov. 26, 1998, from 6 to 9 p.m., with a rosary at 8 p.m. They may also call on the day of services at the funeral home from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m.
Lucille Ann Rowan
TOMAH, Wis. - Lucille Ann Rowan, 67, of Tomah, died Tuesday, Nov. 24, 1998, at Tomah Memorial Hospital. She was born May 30, 1931, to Victor and Anna (Reise) Rowan at Sparta, Wis.
She attended Prescott and Bush Prairie Grade School and graduated from Sparta High School. She worked as a housekeeper and childcare provider. Prior to her retirement, she worked as a cook at Harrison's Cafe in Sparta and at the Badger Cafe in Tomah.
She is survived by four sisters, Luella (James) DeVoe of Tomah, Jeanette (Duane) Selbrede and Joyce (Arthur) Henry, both of Sparta, and Susan (Ronald) Holme of Middleton; two brothers, Howard (Nancy) and Herbert (Margaret) Rowan, both of Sparta; 17 nieces and nephews; 21 grandnieces and grandnephews; and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two nephews, Dennis and David Henry.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Nov. 28, 1998, at 11 a.m. at the Sonnenburg Family Funeral Home, 801 East Monowau St., Tomah. Rev. Wesley A. Schirmer will officiate. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Sparta.
Relatives and friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Friday from 5 to 9 p.m., and on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
