The funeral Mass was celebrated on Saturday at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Athens.
The Rev. Charles J. Hiebl presided. Burial was in is the parish cemetery.
Visitation was held Thursday at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Athens, and against on Saturday until the time of the services at the church.
A parish prayer service was held Thursday at the funeral home.
John Doyle
John Doyle, 48, Wausau, died Sunday, Jan. 21, 2001 at his home.
The funeral Mass was celebrated Wednesday at St. Matthew Catholic Church, Wausau.
The Rev. John Parr presided. There was a veteran's memorial service on Tuesday evening at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to Make A Wish Foundation, the Wausau Chapter.
Arthur Hilber
Arthur Hilber, 80, Marathon, died Thursday, April 5, 2001 under the care of Palliative Care at House of Dove, Marshfield.
Funeral services were held Saturday at St. Mary Catholic Church, Marathon. The Rev. Joseph Diermeier O.F.M. Cap. presided. Burial was in the parish cemetery.
Visitation was held Thursday at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Marathon, and again Saturday until time of services at the church. There was a prayer service and an American Legion memorial service Thursday evening at the funeral home.
Pallbearers were Bob Koppa, Jerome Koppa, Jody Hilber, Scott Sommer, Jason Sommer, Jeff Sommer, Josh Wilichowski and grandson David Hilber.
Orin Kramer
Orin S. Kramer, 84, Abbotsford, died on Monday, April 9, 2001, at the Continental Manor, Abbotsford, where he had resided since September 1999
Funeral services were held Wednesday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, town of Colby. The Rev. Dr. Paul C. Hunsicker presided and burial was in Abbotsford Public Cemetery. Pall bearers were Jim Eiden, Dennis Grambort, Rock Eiden, Clarence Barkow, John Siemering and Orville Barkow.
Visitation was Wednesday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Colby.

Margaret Karpluk, 92, formerly of Chicago, Ill., died Friday, April 6, 2001 at Wausau Manor Nursing Home, Wausau.
The funeral Mass was celebrated April 10 at St. Mary Catholic Church, Marathon. The Rev. Joseph Diermeier O.F.M. Cap. presided. Burial was in the parish cemetery.

George W. Bauer, 68, Edgar, died Thursday, Aug. 2, 2001 at Community Health Care, Wausau Hospital.
Private funeral services were held at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Edgar. Burial was in St. Stephen Lutheran Cemetery, Edgar.

James C. Eckert Sr., 55, Medford, died Thursday, Aug. 9, 2001 at Medford Hospital.

Eleanora Martha Riemer Balz, 91, died Aug. 8, 2001 under the care of Comfort Care at Marywood Convalescent Center.
Funeral services were held Aug. 13 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Wausau. Visitation was held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, Aug. 13 at the church. The Rev. Gary Schultz presided. Burial was held in the Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Pallbearers included grandchildren Tammy and Christopher Balz and great-grandchildren Eric and Jesse Ewan and Megan and Samantha Weise. Honorary pallbearers were members of Forest View Homemakers Club, Nancy Albrecht, Rosella Albrecht, Anabelle Pawlowski, Betty Kohl, Josie Voss and Marie Riehle.

Jerome Welzien, 81, Athens, formerly of Grafton died Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2001 at his home.
Memorial services were held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 11 at Peterson/ Kraemer Funeral Home, Athens. The Rev. Charles Hiebl presided. Burial took place in Calvary Cemetery.
