Age 77, of Waukegan, IL. Passed away September 29, 1999 at Victory Lakes Continuing Healthcare Center in Lindunhurst, IL. Born October 26, 1921 in San Antonio, TX, Mr. Hernandez was a member of St. Anastasia Church in Waukegan and had done volunteer work at Holy Family East Church. He had attended Moler Barber School in 1937 and had worked as a barber at the Navy Exchange at Great Lakes to 41 years, retiring in 1989. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy 1942-1945. He is survived by four children, Joseph Hernandez, Santa Rosa, CA, Enrique (Yvonne) Hernandez, Santa Rosa, Laura (John) Zolecki, Milwaukee, Gloria (Joel) Hartwig, Oconomowoc; two sisters, Mary Gonzales of Waukegan, Ofelie Hernandez of Waukegan, one brother, Albert Hernandez of Waukegan; 9 grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents, Enrique, Eulalia (Lola); 1 sister, Maria Hernandez.
