She was very active in international curling activities, serving as the first woman on the International Curling Federation Board of Directors, manager of the US Women's Olympic Curling Team in Calgary in 1988 and the first woman elected to the US Curling Hall of Fame in 1991. Surviving Ambrose is his wife, a son, Roger (Sherri) of rural Sheboygan Falls, three daughters, Janet of Fox Point, WI, Darlene of Milwaukee and Jean (Donald) Swanke of Boise, Idaho. Also surviving are three grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, a sister, Florence (Elmer) Possley, two sisters-in-law, Violet and Arlene Wagner all of West Bend.
