Clyde R. Hall, age 72 of Grand Marsh, WI died Sunday, April 13, 2003 at Villa Pines Living Center in Friendship.
Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, April 18th at Roseberry’s Funeral Home & Crematory in Friendship. Burial will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery, Town of Lincoln. Military rites will be offered by the Adams VFW Post #6279; the Adams American Legion Red Cloud Post #250; and the Grand Marsh American Legion Snyder-Richardson Post #273.
Clyde was born on August 15, 1930 to George and Gladys (Nelson) Hall in Jump River, WI. He moved to Adams County in 1938 and worked on the family farm for many years until he became disabled after a bad car accident in 1969. Clyde enjoyed antique vehicles, planes, and working on anything mechanical.
Clyde is preceded in death by his father.

Raymond C. Kunz, age 80 of Necedah, died Wednesday, April 16, 2003 at Heritage Manor in Elroy, WI.
Memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on April 26, 2003 at Arkdale Trinity Lutheran Church in Arkdale. Rev. Ronald Hanson will officiate.
Ray was born on November 28th, 1922 to Charles and Edith Kunz in Chicago, IL. He owned and operated a silk screening company for many years. Ray married Bernadette Keil in March of 1989 in Las Vegas, NV.
Ray is survived by his wife and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. at Arkdale Trinity Lutheran Church. Roseberry’s Funeral Home & Crematory assisted the family with arrangements.
Marlowe Craker
CORNELL -- Marlowe B. Craker, 70, of Eau Claire, died Saturday, August 12, 2000, at Luther Hospital in Eau Claire.
He was born the son of Evah and Earl Craker, June 14, 1930, in Holcombe, WI. Marlowe was raised in Holcombe and graduated from Holcombe High School. He married Joan Marasek June 27, 1952, in Eau Claire. They resided in Eau Claire and Marlowe worked for NSP until his retirement in 1991. Marlowe enjoyed hunting and fishing with his boys and loved his family dearly.
Survivors include his wife, Joan; four sons, Derek (Linda) Craker of Bloomington, MN, Tom Craker, Randy (Kristin) Craker and Steve (Pamela) Craker, all of Eau Claire; seven grandchildren; five sisters, Shirley Frick of Fremont, WI, Marian (Duane) Balts of Eau Claire, Juanita (Durwood) Mattson of Rochester, MN, Gladys Bain and Lorraine Browne, both of St. Paul, MN; two brothers, Lee (Laural) Craker of Cornell and Warren (Rae) Craker of Eau Claire; and many nieces and nephews.
Marlowe was preceded in death by his parents; six brothers, Victor, Vinton, Marvin, Manley, Arley and Max; and one sister, Crystal Cripe.
Funeral services for Marlowe were held today at Borton Funeral Home in Cornell.
Gladys A. Eid
BLACK RIVER FALLS - Gladys A. Eid, 89, of Black River Falls, WI, died Sunday, August 13, 2000, at the Family Heritage Care Center in Black River Falls, where she had been a resident since Nov. 24, 1999.
Gladys was born January 22, 1911, in the town of Pigeon in Trempealeau County to Anton H. and Christine (Lovlien) Fremstad. She was raised in Pigeon Falls and she graduated from Whitehall High School in 1929.
She married Ernest M. Eid on December 3, 1932, in Pigeon Falls, WI. The couple lived in York and then moved to Black River Falls in 1939. Ernest preceded his wife in death on August 7, 1993.
Gladys was a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church and the ELCW, the Sewing Circle and the Sons of Norway Fossen Lodge.
Surviving are one brother, Harold (Irene) Fremstad of Whitehall; one sister, Norma (Jewel) Berge of Strum; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Orville and Herman; and one sister, Hulda.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, August 16, 2000, at 11 a.m. at the Black River Falls Evangelical Lutheran Church. Burial will be in Evangelical Lutheran Church Cemetery in Pigeon Falls. Relatives and friends may call at Torgerson's Funeral Home in Black River Falls on Tuesday from 6 until 8 p.m. and at the church on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of services.
Lola Johnson
Lola E. Johnson, 68, 1504 Altoona Avenue, Eau Claire, died Sunday, August 13, 2000, of ALS at PALS.
She was born in Trempealeau County and married Roy "Dean" Johnson on June 14, 1952, and was an Eau Claire resident until her death. She had been in ill health for the past two years. She enjoyed cooking, baking, traveling and being with her family and friends. She was a devoted mother, wife, grandma, sister and friend.
She is survived by her husband, Roy "Dean" of Eau Claire; two daughters, Joyce (Vernon) Klueckmann of Elk Mound and Janice Johnson of Eau Claire; two sons, Terry (Lisa) Johnson of Hallie and Jeffrey (Audrey) Johnson of Mondovi; grandchildren, Kelly (Michael) Martin, D.J. (Stacey) Klueckmann, Ryan, Cory, Chad Johnson, Tiffany and Heather Rustad; many nieces and nephews; three sisters, Dorothy Serum, Gladys Loomis and Delores (Lee) Risler; and a brother, Alvin Knutson.
She was preceded in death by twin daughters, Sharon and Karen; an infant son; her parents, Simon and Gena Knutson; brothers, Wilmer and Hensel Knutson; and sisters, Stella Edison, Wilma Bloom and Eldora Karow.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Grace Lutheran Church. Interment will be in Rest Haven Gardens, town of Washington.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Smith Funeral Chapel and one hour prior to services at the church on Wednesday.
Smith Funeral Chapel is assisting the family.
Roscelia Linton
Roscelia K. Linton, 3219 Eisenhower St., died Sunday at Luther Midelfort Hospital.
Roscelia was born in Eau Claire, daughter of Chester and Kathryne (Bullis) Hagen. She was raised in Eau Claire and graduated from Memorial High School. She married George Arthur Linton Sept. 9, 1950, at Central Lutheran Church in Chippewa Falls.
Roscelia worked as office manger for Medical X-ray Consultants for many years. She was an active member in many organizations including Sons of Norway and Friendship Group at Trinity Lutheran Church.
Survivors include her daughter, Kathryne (Chris) Hedegard of Hastings, Minn., and son Richard Linton of Onalaska; grandchildren Megan, Wade, Peter and Daniel Hedegard, Rory and Daron Linton; four brothers, Duane of Muskegon, Mich., Roger of Wausau, Richard of Cherry Valley, Ill., and Thomas of Stillwater, Okla.
She was preceded in death by her husband and her parents. Roscelia will be remembered for her generosity of spirit and love of family.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Trinity Lutheran Church. Pastor Mary Jorgensen will officiate. Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery as a private burial. Friends and relatives may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Fuller-Speckien Funeral Home and an hour before services at the church.
Paul Schlewitz
Paul W. Schlewitz, 81, 1219 Hayden Ave., Altoona, died Saturday, August 12, 2000, at Sacred Heart Hospital.
Paul was born November 28, 1918, in Redstone, Montana, to William and Anna (Pomasal) Schlewitz. Paul married Ethel Larson on November 2, 1946, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Altoona. Ethel died in September of 1997.
Paul served as a medic in the U.S. Army during WWII in Europe.
Paul worked at McDonough Manufacturing, retiring in 1982. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and a member of the VFW.
Paul was an avid sports fan always there to cheer on his grandchildren. He also enjoyed many years camping with his friends at Wildwood Resort in Chetek.
He is survived by a daughter, Yvonne (Jerry) Foss of Minneapolis; two sons, Alan (Kim) Schlewitz, Gary (Dawn) Schlewitz of Altoona; eight grandchildren, Paul (Steph), Andy (Lisa), Tim (Katie) Harris, Sam and Nick Schlewitz, Amy Joel, Steven Schlewitz; many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Ethel; four sisters, Emma, Eva, Mamie and Louise; two brothers, Frank and Louie; and a grandson, Thomas Schlewitz.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, August 15, 2000, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Altoona with Rev. Norbert Wilger officiating. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery with full military rites.
Friends may call Monday (today) from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Golden Funeral Home where there will be a 7:45 p.m. public prayer service, and Tuesday one hour prior to the services at the church.

Esther Von Haden
Esther C. Von Haden, 97, of 3260 Rimrock Road, died Saturday at Sacred Heart Hospital.
Esther was born Dec. 29, 1902, in Boyd to John and Anna (Fiddler) Shong. She married Ernest Von Haden in 1932 in Ludington. Ernest died in 1964.
She worked as a nurse at Sacred Heart Hospital for 35 years, retiring in 1972. She was a lifetime member of Sacred Heart Parish.
She is survived by three daughters, Ann (Charles) Gregory of Eau Claire, Jean Fedie of Rockford, Ill., and Agnes (Albin) Gierok of Independence; one son, Alvin Von Haden of Eau Claire; 24 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Ernest, one daughter, Evelyn Bolles, and two brothers, Wesley and Robert.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Rev. Kurt Apfelbeck officiating. Interment will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Golden Funeral Home, where there will be a 7 p.m. public prayer service.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be directed to Sacred Heart Hospital or Sacred Heart Parish.
