Alice Hedvig Stam, 91, Medford, died Friday, April 28 at the home of her niece in the Town of Goodrich, where she was currently residing.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 6 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Mellen, with Rev. Martin Eden officiating. Cremainal interment will be at High Bridge Cemetery in High Bridge, Ashland County.
The family will be receiving friends at the church on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of service.

Alice Stam was born on January 3, 1909 in Sweden to the late Andreas and Hedwig (Anderson) Stam. Her family came to the US in 1910 and settled in Morehead, Minn. She attended Morehead area schools and college in Minneapolis. In 1931 she moved again with her family to Mellen. She owned and operated a variety store for many years there. She then served for many years as City Clerk of Mellen. In March she came to live with her niece, Becky Jaeger, in the Town of Goodrich.
She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church.
Survivors include two brothers, Harold (Helen), Mellen, and Thor, Olympia, Wash.; one sister, Carrie Jaeger, Town of Goodrich; and nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.
Terry Cederholm
(1964-2000)
Chief Petty Officer Terry Lee Cederholm, 35, stationed at the Naval Air Station in Jacksonville, Fla., died Sunday, April 23.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, April 29 at Eller-Brady Funeral Home in Cedar Lake, Ind., with Rev. Scott Wilbur officiating. Interment took place at German Methodist Cemetery in Cedar Lake.
Terry Cederholm was born on October 19, 1964 at Gary, Ind. to David and Carol Cederholm. He was a 1983 graduate of Griffith High School and entered the US Navy in 1984. He served in the Persian Gulf and Libya.
He enjoyed Chicago sports teams.
He is survived by his mother Carol, Medford; his father David (Maryann), Peoria, Ariz.; his wife Jacqueline, Jacksonville, Carl; one daughter, Terica; maternal grandmother Freida Johnson, Medford; three brothers, David (Catherine), Indianapolis, Ind., Robert, Krum, Texas, and Daniel (Tina), Medford; one sister, Berthyne Bakkestuen, Medford; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
Emelia Wilhelmi
(1905-2000)
Chelsea native Emelia "Millie" H. Wilhelmi, 94, Abbotsford, died Tuesday, May 2, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield under hospice care.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 5 at Christ Lutheran Church in Abbotsford, with Rev. Paul Hunsicker officiating. Burial will take place at Abbotsford Public Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Mark Wilhelmi, Eric Wilhelmi, Jay Tlusty, Dwayne Kalepp, Derek Hanson, and Ramsey Lichte.
Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. on Thursday, May 4 at Maurina Funeral Home in Abbotsford.
The former Emelia Lindstedt was born on November 15, 1905 at Chelsea to the late John and Marie Lindstedt.
Her marriage to Fred Henry Wilhelmi, who died on March 22, 1980, took place on June 4, 1924 at Abbotsford. They farmed in the Town of Mayville, Clark County, then moved to Abbotsford in 1948. She was employed with Abbotsford Produce and later with Spinhernie Meat Processing, both in Abbotsford.
She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church and very active in the Ladies Aid, and a member of the Homemakers Club. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting, and fishing.
Survivors include three sons, Walter (Joyce), Florence, Earl (Carol), Colby, and Kenneth, Abbotsford; two daughters, Arlene (Lloyd) Sternhagen, Neenah, and Shirley (Wayne) Luehrs, Plover; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.
Josephine Plucinski
(1914-2000)
Former Lublin area resident Josephine Plucinski, 85, Tomahawk, died Monday, June 12 at Sacred Heart Hospital in Tomahawk.
Funeral services were held Thursday morning at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Lublin, with Rev. Philip Juza officiating. Burial took place in St. Stanislaus Cemetery.
Thorp Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
The former Josephine Popowski was born July 10, 1914 to the late John and Pauline (Sluszarsz) Popowski in Chicago, Ill. She lived in Chicago for a number of years, and then in the Lublin area and Tomahawk area.
Survivors include one daughter, Diana (Bob) Smith of Tomahawk; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Richard Michno; her second husband, Dan Plucinski; one son; five brothers and two sisters.
Charles W. Buehler
(1924-2000)
Medford native Charles W. Buehler, 75, Oconomowoc, died at his home on Wednesday, June 7.
Funeral services were held Monday, June 12 at St. Jerome Catholic Church in Oconomowoc with Revs. John Yockey and Thomas Langer officiating. Burial took place in St. Jerome Catholic Cemetery.
Pagenkopf Funeral Home of Oconomowoc assisted the family with arrangements.
Charles Buehler was born August 30, 1924 at Medford to the late Carl and Catherine (Danen) Buehler. His marriage to Carol Borofka took place in Marshfield in 1950.
He worked as a Sentry Insurance Agent in the Oconomowoc area for 26 years, retiring in 1984. He was a member of St. Jerome Catholic Church and volunteered at Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital. He was a veteran of WWII, serving in the Navy.
Survivors include his wife, Carol; one daughter, Debra (Gary) Grotenhuis of Deephaven, Minn.; three sons, Jeffery (Nancy) of Oxford, Mich., Patrick (Dena) of Menomonee Falls, and James (Veronica) of Kingsville, Texas; two sisters, Patricia (Fred) Ruos of Elm Grove and Marilyn (Harold) Lockwood of Maine; one brother, Mark (Delores) of Medford; and 14 grandsons.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Donald.

Ellen Taylor

Former Jump River resident Ellen L. Taylor, 82, Stanley, died Sunday, June 11 at Victory Medical Center in Stanley.
Funeral services were held on Thursday, June 15 at Plombon Funeral Home in Stanley, with Rev. John Puerner officiating. Burial took place at Mt. Nebo Cemetery in Jump River.
The former Ellen McNeely was born on February 23, 1918 at Mott, N.D., to the late Amos "Ed" and Edna (Hehman) McNeely. When she was a young girl, the family moved to the Jump River area where she grew up and attended area schools.
Her marriage to Bert Taylor, who died in 1987, took place on April 19, 1941 at Hannibal. They came to Stanley where they owned and operated Taylor's Supperette Grocery Store until their retirement in 1972.
She was a longtime member of Stanley Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Judy (Duane) Van Ert, Stanley, and Peggy Taylor, Plymouth, Minn.; three sons, Robert (Elaine), Burlington, Scott (Colette), Maple Grove, Minn., and Larry (Deb), Champlin, Minn.; one sister, Lillian Allman, Medford; 11 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one daughter in infancy; two brothers, Ray and Keith; and one sister, Donna Mae.
Elida Langer
(1928-2000)
Medford native Elida "Lollie" M. Langer, 71, Janesville, died Thursday, June 8 at Mercy Hospital in Janesville. Funeral services were held Monday, June 12 at First Baptist Church in Janesville, with Revs. Deborah and James Harkness officiating. Burial took place in Oak Hill Cemetery at Janesville.
The Henke-Clarson-Holzhuter Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
The former Elida Furland was born August 27, 1928 in Medford to the late John and Martha (Zacher) Furland. She graduated from Medford High School.
Her marriage to Richard D. Langer, who died January 1, 1989, took place on May 12, 1956. She has resided in Janesville since then.
She was an active member of First Baptist Church, where she was treasurer of its women's group and was its representative to ECHO for many years. She also served as treasurer of Church Women United. She was a member of the Mercy Hospital Auxiliary, delivering Meals on Wheels since the program started in Janesville. She volunteered at Castaways Thrift Shop and was a responder for the Life-Line Program. She was well-known for her volunteer work and received the YWCA Woman of Distinction Humanitarian Award in 1991.
Survivors include three daughters, Victoria of Mystic, Conn., Elaine (Jay) Allen of Fitchburg, and Stacey (Jay) Guelker of Mishicot; two sisters, Geneva Guziak of Medford and Vernice Selby of Milwaukee.
She was preceded in death by her husband and parents.
