Elaine Dicke, 70, of 2640 N. 7th St., died Friday, October 5, 2001 at her home.
Born September 11, 1931, in Manitowoc County, Elaine was a daughter of the late David and Sophia Pfister Arnst. She moved to Sheboygan and graduated from North High School in 1949.
Elaine was employed as a cook for Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center for more than 20 years. Following her retirment she worked part time as a cook for RCS.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. The joys of her life were her three cats.
Elaine is survived by her four sons, Robert (Elena), New Mexico, William, Sheboygan Falls, Peter (Charlie), Sheboygan, David (Jenny) Sheboygan; 12 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren. She is further survived by one brother, Mike (Sally) Arnst, Sheboygan; four sisters, Dorothy (John) Scheidel, Sheboygan, Marie (Ray) Alford and Edie (Bud) Fahl, both of California, Emma Held, Houston, TX; two sisters-in-law, Carolyn Arnst and Dora Arnst, both of California, many nieces, nephews other relatives, a very special friend, Walter Franke and many other friends. She was preceded in death by one sister, Emily Kunstman and two brothers, David and Christian Arnst.
Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Monday, October 8, 2001, at Lippert Funeral Home 1132, Superior Ave. The Rev. Timothy Mech, pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church, will officiate. Relatives and friends are welcome at the funeral home on Monday from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service. Entombment will be in Garden Terrace Mausoleum.

Virgina A. Godfrey
Virginia A. Godfrey, 82, of 3310 N. 28th St., died Thursday, September 20, 2001 at her home.
Born August 19, 1920, in Sheboygan, Virginia was a daughter of the late Daniel and Lucille Webb Bayens. On July 20, 1940, she was united in marriage to Robert Godfrey, Jr. at St. Dominic's Catholic Church. The couple was married for 38 years before Robert preceded her in death on October 27, 1978.
Mrs. Godfrey was employed as a bookkeeper for more than 20 years by the Sheboygan Press. She was a member of Ebenezer United Church of Christ.
Virginia is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Maureen and Eugene Stoelb; one granddaughter, Laura Ritt, Sheboygan; one great-grandson, Robert Ritt, Sheboygan; one niece, Helen (Robert) Hintz, Winneconne, WI; one nephew, Daniel (Virginia) Bayens, Sylacaqua, AL, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her brother, Peter Bayens.
Virginia's wish was that no public services be held for her.
Lucile M. Guetschow
Lucile M Guetschow, 85, formerly of 1323 N. 15th St., died Friday, September 21, 2001 at Greendale Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Born September 21, 1916, in Sheboygan, Lucile was a daughter of the late Martin and Caroline Heise Hoeft. On April 18, 1936, she was united in marriage to Herbert Guetschow in Waukegan, IL. The couple was married for 59 years before Herbert preceded her in death on July 15, 1999.
Lucile was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.
She is survived by five children, Shirley Seefeldt, Sheboygan, Judith (Donald) Piontkowski, Scottsdale, AZ, Steven (Gloria), New Smyrna Beach, FL Dennis (Sharon), Sheboygan, and Mary (Donald) Townsend, Yucaipa, CA; 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; two sisters, Eleanor Hinz and Dorothy (Edward) Wasmer; three brothers, Martin Hoeft, Elmer (Evelyn) Hoeft, Arthur (Marge) Hoeft; one sister-in-law, Evelyn Keller; one brother-in-law, Emil Colby, other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant son, Richard; a son-in-law, Donald Seefeldt and two sisters, Helen Roth and June Kaiser.
Funeral services for Lucile will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, September 27, 2001, at Lippert Funeral Home, 1132 Superior Ave. The Rev. Timothy Mech, pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church, will officiate. Relatives and friends are welcome at the funeral home, on Wednesday, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and, on Thursday, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will be in Lutheran Cemetery.

Maria Hagemeier
Maria Hagemeier, 90, of 2226 N. 11th Street, passed away Saturday, October 13, 2001 at her home.
Born December 6, 1910, in Schulz, Russia, Maria was a daughter of the late Jacob and Sophie Shultz Zitzer. On November 13, 1932, she was united in marriage to Wilhelm H. Hagemeier, Sr. in Germany. She was a member of St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church and was a member of the Frauenferein.
Maria enjoyed playing sheephead and even taught her grandchildren to play. She was an avid gardener and made the most delicious jelly from her currant and raspberry bushes. She knitted slippers and sweaters for all of her family and friends.
Maria is survived by her husband of 68 years, Wilhelm, Sr., two sons Wilhelm, Jr. (Eugenia), Sheboygan, and Guenther (Dorothy), Germantown, WI; six grandchildren, William (Gail) Hagemeier, Plymouth, Rosalie (Jack) Scheele, Howards Grove, Monica (Adam) Senkbeil, and Heidi (Robert) Kasberger, both of Sheboygan, Kevin Hagemeier, Milwaukee, and Eric (Heidi) Hagemeier, Wauwatosa; nine great-grandchildren, Ryan Hagemeier, Milwaukee, and Kyle Hagemeier, Sheboygan, Steve and Brent Scheele, Howards Grove, Nicholas, Jeremy, Joshua, and Amanda Senkbeil, Sheboygan, and Andrew Kasberger, Sheboygan; a great-great-grandchild, Tyler Hagemeier, Sheboygan; a sister Katherine Lerch, Sheboygan; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by three sisters and seven brothers.
Funeral services for Maria will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 16, 2001, at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1818 N. 13th Street. Pastor Alan Kretschmar will officiate. Entombment will take place in Garden Terrace Mausoleum. Family and friends are welcome at the church on Tuesday from 12:30 until the time of service.

Eugene W. Hilpertshauser
Eugene W. Hilpertshauser, 76, of 32 Beechwood Dr., Sheboygan, passed away peacefully, Friday, August 31, 2001, at St. Nicholas Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.
Born June 24, 1925, in Sheboygan, Eugene was a son of the late Eugene and Philippine Zimmerman Hilpertshauser. On September 4, 1948 he was united to Carol Eichorst at the parsonage of St. John's Ev. & Reformed Church.
Eugene was employed by the City of Sheboygan in the Department of Public Works for 31 years, retiring in 1985.
He was a member of St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church.
Eugene is survived by his wife, Carol; three children, Glen (special friend, Edie Krizenesky), Jill (Tom) Nelesen, Scott (Kathy), all of Sheboygan; five grandchildren, Andy Hilpertshauser, Robby Hilpertshauser, Chris Nelesen, Lindsey Nelesen and Sammy Hilpertshauser; one sister, June (Casey) Holtz, Sheboygan; one brother, Allen (Vi) Hilpertshauser, Sheboygan, other relatives and many friends. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Jeanne Carol Hilpertshauser.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 3, 2001 at 7:00 p.m. at Lippert Funeral Home, 1132 Superior Ave. The Rev. Alan Kretschmar, pastor of St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church, will officiate. Relatives and friends are welcome at the funeral home on Monday from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service. Interment will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park.

Robert N. Jensen
Robert N. Jensen, 84, formerly of 1414 N. 17th Street, passed away Friday, September 14, 2001 at the Rennes Health Care Center in De Pere, WI, where he had been residing.
Robert was born March 23, 1917 in Sheboygan, son of the late Arthur and Barbara Fuerst Jensen. He attended Holy Name Catholic school and graduated from Central High School. On August 2, 1941, he was united in marriage to Elaine K. Schmieder at Holy Name Church where they remained life long members. She preceded him in death in 1996.
Retired since 1982, he was employed by Wisconsin Power and Light - Edgewater plant for 30 years. Robert served his country during World War II, entering the military in 1942. As a member of the US Army Air Corps, he traveled to a number of duty stations including Westover Field, MA, where he received his sergeant's stripes. Following his service, he returned to Sheboygan, and had lived there until an injury necessitated a move to Green Bay. During his years in Sheboygan he became a member of the Elks Club and was also a member of the Pioneer Club of Wisconsin Power and Light. He had a love of flight and travel and was also an avid fisherman.
He is survived by a son, Robert A. of Green Bay; two daughters, Carol (Robert) Langer of Two Rivers, and Susan (Ronald) Mosnik of Green Bay; five grandchildren, Melissa, Catherine, and Christopher Langer, Michael and Christine Mosnik; a sister Jean (Harvey) Voss, Sheboygan; brother-in-law Jim (Connie) Schmieder, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother Arthur Jensen, Jr.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, September 17, 2001, at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church, N. 8th Street and Huron Ave. The Rev. James E. Connell, pastor, will celebrate the Mass. Entombment will take place in Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum. Family and friends are welcome at the CHURCH on Monday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass.
Robert's family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Rennes Nursing Home, with a special thank you to Carla, Anna, and Dorothy, for the wonderful care given to Robert during his stay there.

Frieda Selke
Frieda Selke, 85, formerly of 3023 N. 25th Street, passed away Saturday, November 23, 2002 at Meadow View Manor.
Born July 18, 1917 in Maywood,IL, Frieda was a daughter of the late John and Helen Kretsch Niesing. On July 3, 1937, she was united in marriage to William Selke at St. Paul Lutheran Church. They were married for 62 years before William preceded her in death on August 2, 1999.
Frieda was a meat wrapper at the Sentry Food Store and also worked at Wigwam Mills. She was a member of St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, the Ladies Aid and the Altar Guild. She also loved to play sheepshead.
Frieda is survived by her two children, Shirley (Herb) Wierzbach, The Villages, FL, James (Barbara) Selke, Sheboygan; five grandchildren, Cheryl (John) Trojenowski, Wendy (Mark) Mihalik, Todd Selke, Michael (Diane) Selke, and Brian (Michelle) Selke; seven great-grandchildren, John and Peter Trojenowski, Steven, Samantha and Skylar Mihalik, and Bryce and Miranda Selke; two sisters and one brother, Marie (Andrew) Mc Veigh, Clear Lake, CA, Emma Rowe, La Fayette, CA, and Alex Niesing, Sheboygan, and further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Frieda will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 27, 2002 at the Lippert-Olson Funeral Home, 1132 Superior Ave. The Rev. Alan Kretschmar, pastor of St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church will officiate. Interment will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Town of Sheboygan. Relatives and friends are welcome at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. a.m. until the hour of the service.
