Clarence E. Brott
Clarence Brott, 75, of 919 Niagara Ave., Apt. 1, died Sunday, February 11, 2001, at Sheboygan Memorial Medial Center.
Funeral services will take place on Thursday, February 15, 2001 at 7:30 p.m. at the Lippert Funeral Home, 1132 Superior Ave. Pastor John Bylsma from First Christian Reformed Church will officiate. Family and friends are welcome at the funeral home on Thursday from 5:00 until the time of service.
A memorial fund has been established in his name.

Marion E. Brown
Marion E. Brown, 81, of 1729 N. 29th St., died Sunday, February 11, 2001, at her home.
Born November 17, 1919, in Sheboygan, Marion was a daughter of the late John and Clara Heerman De Back. She attended Holy Name Grade School and graduated from Sheboygan Central High School in 1938. On May 22, 1948, she was united in marriage to Paul B. Brown at Holy Name Parish. The couple celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in 1998.
Marion was a member of Holy Name Catholic Church, the St. Ann's Society and Catholic Charity Club. Marion loved the time she spent with her grandchildren and those who knew and loved her will miss all the wonderful greeting cards she sent on every occasion.
She is survived by her husband Paul; her daughter, Jane Seipel, Sheboygan; her son and daughter-in-law, John and Teri Brown, Sheboygan; five grandchildren, Tim Seipel, Brad Seipel, Jocelyn Seipel, Jessica Brown and Robert Brown. She was preceded in death by her brother, Louis De Back, and her sister, Lucille Lacy.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:00 noon, Wednesday, February 14, 2001, at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Parish, N. 8th St. & Superior Ave., with the Rev. Edward F. Monroe, CSsR, associate pastor, as celebrant. Relatives and friends are welcome at the Lippert Funeral Home, 1132 Superior Ave. on Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and at the church on Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the mass. Entombment will be in Calvary Mausoleum.

Edward Dortman
Edward Dortman, 76, of Sheboygan, passed away Sunday, February 11, 2001, at Greendale Health and Rehabilitation Center where he had been a resident for the past 16 months.
Ed was born June 28, 1924, in Sheboygan, to the late William and Julia Schaefer Dortman. He attended Trinity Lutheran School and graduated from Central High School in 1942.
On March 17, 1945, Edward married Betty Ann Schutt at St. John's United Church of Christ. She preceded him in death on January 21, 1988.
Ed was employed for 40 years at the American Chair Co. which later became Thonet, Inc., until it was destroyed by fire in 1982. He then worked at Nemschoff Chair Co. until his retirement in 1986.
Ed was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ and its Churchmen's Brotherhood. He was a past member of the Church Council and was a former usher.
Ed is survived by one son, Steven (Jane) Dortman, Sheboygan; four daughters, Susan (John) Oiler, Bryan, OH, Shirley (Scott) Tellen, Oshkosh, WI, Sandra (Curt) Meehan, Ypsilanti, MI, Stacey Dortman, Sheboygan; six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; one sister, Lillie (Richard) Stevens, Sheboygan and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, one brother, four sisters and one great-granddaughter.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 14, 2001, at St. John's United Church of Christ, N. 13th St. & Lincoln Ave., with the Rev. Gregory S. Whelton, pastor, officiating. Relatives and friends are welcome at the church on Wednesday from 11:30 a.m. until the time of services. Interment will be in Wildwood Cemetery.
A memorial fund has been established in his name.
The family of Edward Dortman would like to thank the wonderful staff at Greendale Health and Rehabilitation Center for the excellent care he received while he was a resident there.
The Lippert Funeral Home is serving the family.

Christopher David Goedde
Christopher David Goedde, 21, of Random Lake, WI, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, February 23, 2001.
The beloved son of David E. and Debra L. (Stauber) Goedde, Chris was born May 1, 1979, in Sheboygan. He graduated from Random Lake High School in 1998 where he played offensive tackle for the Rams.
He was presently employed at the Adell Co-op and had also worked at Badger Hatchery. He took great pride in being a member of the Adell Volunteer Fire Dept. and First Responders. He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Sherman Center. He enjoyed spending time with his family and always looked forward to hunting and fishing with his Grandpa Frank.
Chris is survived by his parents, David and Debra of Elkhart Lake; three sisters, Dawn (Jim) Meerdink of Random Lake, April and Brenda of Elkhart Lake; his paternal grandmother, Bernice Goedde of Town of Sherman; numerous aunts and uncles, great-aunts and great-uncles, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Frank, Jr. and Beverly Stauber, and his paternal grandfather, Victor Goedde.
Funeral services for Chris will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, February 26, at St. John Lutheran Church, W5406 Hy SS, Sherman Center, WI. The Rev. Bryan Osladil, pastor, and the Rev. Elmer Lisch, pastor of St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Belgium, will co-officiate. Visitation will take place at the church, on Monday, from 3:00 p.m. until the hour of the service. He will be laid to rest in Wildwood Cemetery.
A memorial fund will be established in his name.

A. Anthony "Tony" Grunewald
A. Anthony "Tony" Gruenwald, 80, of 2020 N. 11th St., passed away Sunday, February 18, 2001, at Morningside Health Center.
Tony was born May 12, 1920, in Sheboygan, to Jacob and Mary (Schmidbauer) Gruenwald. He attended Holy Name Catholic School, St. Lawrence Seminary and Sheboygan Business College. He served in the U.S. Army during W.W. II in the Pacific Theater and attained the rank of corporal. On October 18, 1947, he and Crescentia "Sandy" Klar were united in marriage at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church.
Tony was employed at various local companies including Plastics Engineer Co., Vollrath Co., and was last employed at R-Way Furniture Co. from which he retired in 1979 due to illness. He was a life-long member of Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church, the Ushers' Society, Holy Name Credit Union and St. Vincent De Paul. He was also a member of AMVETS and the American Legion Post #555.
Tony is survived by Sandy, his loving wife of 53 years; two sons, Michael (Terri) and Thomas of Sheboygan; daughter, Kathryn of Denver, CO; grandson, Anthony; step-grandson, Ted Peterman; and his sister, Marie Gruenwald of Sheboygan. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Margaret.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Tony Gruenwald will be celebrated on Wednesday, February 21, at 12:00 noon at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church, N. 8th St. and Huron Ave., with the Rev. James E. Connell as celebrant. Visitation will be at the church on Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of the mass. Interment will take place in Calvary Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in his name for Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church.

Ronald E. Holtz
Ronald E. Holtz, 66, of Hilbert, WI, passed away after a short illness, Wednesday, February 7, 2001, at Calumet Medical Center.
Born April 18, 1934, in Sheboygan, Ronald was a son of the Elmer and Elsie Richter Holtz. On June 30, 1973 he was united in marriage to Thane Gergen at Immanuel Ev. Lutheran Church. Thane preceded him in death on July 18, 1983.
Ron was employed for 20 years at Thomas Industries, retiring in 1997.
He is survived by three children, William (Vicki) Oney, Hilbert, WI, Robert (Lori) Oney, Sheboygan, Bradley (Mary Jo) Gentile, Kiel, WI; ten grandchildren, Preston (Jacqui), Michael (Tanya) Mitchell, Thana, Hailey, Kayla, Kelsey, Jonah, Craig, Pamela and one brother, Melvin (Pauline) Holtz, Sheboygan. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Delbert and Donald, and one sister, Marion Oehldrich.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m., Saturday, February 10, 2001, at the Lippert Funeral Home. Relatives and friends are welcome at the funeral home on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services. Interment will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Town of Sheboygan.
A memorial fund has been established in his name.

William Michael Jerving
William Michael Jerving, 84, of 13 Elmwood Dr., passed away on Sunday evening, February 11, 2001, after a long illness.
He was born November 11, 1916, in Sheboygan, to Henry Emil and Cora De Zwarte Jerving, and baptized at the South Side Norwegian Methodist Church. After graduation from Central High School he joined the U. S. Coast Guard. He served honorably during World War II in the Pacific Theater. Bill was united in marriage to Beatrice Hayner on January 11, 1947 who survives him.
Bill worked for Wisconsin Power & Light Co. for over 24 years. He began as a helper and ended his career as a supervisor at the Edgewater Power Plant.
His parents, Henry Emil Jerving and Cora De Zwarte preceded him in death as did his step-mother, Caroline Stock Jerving.
Bill grew up on his beloved family farm between Lake Michigan and the Black River. Peter Jerving, his grandfather purchased the 65 acre farm in 1884. He was very close to his brothers, Oliver Jerving Schultz, Wesly and Howard Jerving who also preceded him in death. Oliver and Bill developed a landscaping business they called the Jerving Brothers in the 1940's.
He was a member of St. Luke United Methodist Church and V.F.W. Wolf-Olson Post No. 1230. He enjoyed his life especially in his avocations as a bee keeper and golfer.
Other survivors include his daughter, Dr. Nancy Noel Werden and her husband, Lincoln of Manhasset, NY; and two sons, James R. and his wife, Chris, of Madison, and Michael W. and his wife, Susan, of Sheboygan. His five grandchildren, Amanda and Jessica Jerving, Sara Werden, Julia and Sara Jerving also survive him.
A memorial service for William M. Jerving will be held in the chapel of St. Luke United Methodist Church, 623 Ontario Ave., on Thursday, February 15, at 2:00 p.m. The Rev. Larry A. Moody will officiate. Relatives and friends are welcome at the church, on Thursday, for a time of visitation from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of service. Following cremation, inurnment will take place in Garden Terrace Mausoleum of Lutheran Cemetery.
A memorial fund, in the name of William M. Jerving, is being established.
