Connie Keitel, 80, of 1836 N. 26th Street, passed away Sunday, February 11, 2001, at Froedtert Memorial Lutheran Hospital in Milwaukee.
Born November 14, 1920, in Sheboygan, Connie was a daughter of the late Gerard and Lucy Van De Wege Huige. On November 30, 1941, she was united in marriage to Donald Keitel at the Parsonage of Trinity Lutheran Church by the late Rev. F.A. Brauer.
For over 20 years, Connie was a sales clerk at the J.C. Penny Co., retiring in 1983.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary. She loved baking, cooking and especially writing letters. She was also an avid angel collector.
Besides her husband Donald, Connie is survived by her son, Larry (Jan Tilden) Keitel, Sheboygan; 3 grandchildren, Sarah, Matthew and Nicole, all of Sheboygan; two sisters, Lucille Kralovetz and Nellie (Elmer) Schramm, both of Sheboygan; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and a sister.
Funeral services for Connie Keitel will take place on Wednesday, February 14, 2001 at 3:00 p.m. at the Lippert Funeral Home, 1132 Superior Ave. The Rev. Karl F. Nelson, Pastor of First United Lutheran Church will officiate. Family and friends are welcome at the funeral home on Wednesday from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of service. Interment will take place at Lutheran Cemetery.
A memorial fund for Connie Keitel has been established in her name.

Stanley E. Koss
Stanley E. Koss, age 77, died Saturday evening, February 3, 2001, at the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center at Tomah, WI.
Born August 22, 1923 in Sheboygan, he was a son Leo and Frances (Kaluza) Koss. He attended Sheridan School and graduated from Central High School.
Stanley served in the U.S. Army during WW II. He enlisted on January 27, 1943 and was discharged on March 20, 1944. He then suffered a disabling illness and had been a patient at the Tomah VA Hospital from 1947 to 1985. He was then a resident of Fairchild Nursing Home in Fairchild, WI until February, 1999 when he was admitted to the nursing home facility of the Tomah Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center.
Survivors include many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Leo Koss; two sisters, Frances Riddle and Mary Udovich; a sister-in-law, Virginia (Koss) Udovich; and two brothers-in-law, Sidney Riddle and Louis Udovich.
Funeral services will be held at Lippert Funeral Home, 1132 Superior Ave., on Thursday, February 8, at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will be at the funeral home, on Thursday, from 6:00 p.m. until the hour of the service. Interment will take place in Greendale Cemetery on Friday.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations, in the name of Stanley E. Koss, may be given to charity of choice.

Shizue Hayasaka Knight
Shizue Hayasaka Knight, 66, passed away on Tuesday, March 20, 2001, at Greendale Health & Rebilitation Center following a brief illness.
Shizue was born in Tokyo, Japan on April 1, 1934, to the late Sato and Hanna Hayasaka. She married Rodger M. Knight in Japan where he was stationed with the U.S. Navy and they came to the United States in 1972. He preceded her in death on April 13, 1990. In June of 1999, she moved from San Diego, CA to Sheboygan to live with her daughter and son-in-law, Shari and Isaac.
Shizue is survived by her daughter and son-in-law and grandson, Shari Knight and Issac Delgado and Steven Delgado-Knight of Sheboygan; her son, Michael Knight of San Diego, CA; her sister, Yukiko Suzuki of Tokyo, Japan; and other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Steven Kenji Knight on October 24, 1978.
There will be no attending services for Shizue and in accordance with her wishes she will be cremated.

Elaine F. Kreutz
Elaine F. Kreutz, 84, of 2211 Mayflower Ave., passed away, Sunday, March 4, 2001 at Greendale Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Born January 11, 1917, in Sheboygan, Elaine was a daughter of the late William F. and Anna Kuether Weber. On January 29, 1938, she was united in marriage to Oswald F. Kreutz at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church in Sheboygan. The were married for 35 years before Oswald preceded her in death on May 6, 1973.
Elaine was a nurses aid at Sheboygan Memorial Hospital for many years. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church. She loved music and was especially proud of her roses. She was a loving mother and grandmother.
Elaine is survived by three children, James (Barbara Lohse) Kreutz, Kiel, Thomas (Diana) Kreutz, Sheboygan Falls, and Patricia (Robert) Loux, Sheboygan; thirteen grandchildren; twenty one great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; a brother, Wilmer Weber, Brownsville, TX; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Besides her husband, Oswald, she was preceded in death by a son, Gerald, three grandchildren, and three brothers.
Funeral services for Elaine will take place on Tuesday, March 6, 2001 at 2:00 p.m. at the Lippert Funeral Home, 1132 Superior Ave. The Rev. Bert Thompson, Associate Pastor of St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church will officiate. Family and friends are welcome at the funeral home from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service. Interment will take place in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Town of Sheboygan.
A memorial fund has been established in the name of Elaine Kreutz.

Frieda G. Lutze
Frieda Graenzig Lutze, 91 passed away on Monday evening, March 19, 2001, at Meadow View Manor Nursing Home, following a brief illness.
She was born December 3, 1909, in Sheboygan, to the late Ferdinand and Anna Schwartz Graenzig. She graduated from Sheboygan High School in 1927. Frieda attended the North Chicago School of Nursing where upon graduation as a registered nurse she taught Nurse's Training at the school until 1933. She then returned to Sheboygan to continue her nursing career at Sheboygan Memorial Hospital. She became the hospital's Director of Nursing in 1935 and held that post until retiring in 1943. Frieda was an active member of the hospital Auxiliary until its termination 3 years ago. She was a founding member of the hospital's former Eliza Prange Circle and its last surviving member.
On December 6, 1943, Frieda married Ernest A. Lutze, Sr. at St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church. They were married for 25 years until he preceded her in death on August 15, 1969.
She was a lifelong member of St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, its Ladies Aid and numerous Bible study groups. She was also a member of the Sheboygan Professional Women's Club. An avid traveler, Frieda explored many regions of the globe, including the Far East, Asia, Eastern and Western Europe. As she became older and travel became more difficult, her membership in People to People allowed her to continue to enjoy adventures through other's travels.
Frieda is survived by her step-son, Ernest A. Lutze of Sheboygan, six step-grandchildren, Barbara Bode of Washington D.C., Carolyn Bode of Santa Monica, CA, Robert (Mary) Lutze of Laguna Nigel, CA, Edward (Karen) Lutze of Sheboygan, Elisabeth (Larry) Morgan of Denver, CO, and Alice (Tim) Ackerman of Demotte, IN; ten step-great-grandchildren, Kyle and Alexandra Lutze, Matthew, James and Patricia Lutze, Christopher and Shannon Morgan, Christopher, Margaret and Andrew Ackerman; other relatives and friends. In addition to her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by three brothers, Hermann, Arno and Arthur; sister, Emma; step-daughter and husband, Margaret (Carl) Bode; step-granddaughter, Janet Bode; and step daughter-in-law, Elva Lutze.
Funeral services for Frieda will be held at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1818 N. 13th St., on Friday, March 23, at 10:30 a.m. with Pastor Alan Kretschmar officiating. Visitation will be at the church, on Friday, from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of the service. Interment will take place in Wildwood Cemetery.
Memorial contributions, in the name of Frieda G. Lutze, may be made to Lutheran High School and St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church.
Psalm 37 verse 5: "Commit thy way unto the Lord, trust also in Him and He shall bring it to pass."

Sheffey N. Massey, Jr.
Sheffey N. Massey, Jr. 63, of Sheboygan, a loving husband and father, died Sunday Morning at his home following a courageous fight against cancer.
Born April 3, 1937, in Bluefield, WV, Sheffey was a son of the late Sheffey and Ellen Louise Campbell Massey. On November 26, 1960, he was united in marriage to Yvonne Buchmann in Kiel, WI. The couple celebrated their fortieth wedding anniversary in 2000.
Sheffey attended Virginia Tech and was awarded a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering. He was employed by the Kohler company for the past 14 years in their Generator Division. He was previously employed by Beloit Power Systems, Beloit, WI and Allis Chalmers, West Allis, WI.
Mr. Massey was a member of Fountain Park United Methodist Church and was a member of their choir. Sheffey was a former member of First United Methodist Church, Beloit and sang in their Senior Choir. He also sang with the Men of Harmony in Sheboygan.
He is survived by his wife, Yvonne; three daughters, Carrie Massey, Racine, WI, Mary (George) Larscheidt, Mequon, WI, Laura (Dave) Palmer, South Beloit, IL; Sheffey (Nancy) Massey, III, Eau Claire, WI; three grand daughters, Breanna Palmer, Tess Massey, Julina Larscheidt; five grandsons, Nathan, Nicholas and Joel Larscheidt and Matthew and Christopher Palmer, a special friend, Kathi Wilson, other relatives and many friends.
A memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, March 29, 2001, at Fountain Park United Methodist Church, 828 Erie Ave.,with the Rev. Thomas White, pastor, officiating. Relatives and friends are welcome at the church on Thursday from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service.
A memorial fund has been established in his name for the Men of Harmony or the Fountain Park Church Choir.

John Neuwirth
John Neuwirth, 86, passed away on Thursday, February 22, 2001 at Sheboygan Progressive Care Center where he had been a resident for the past 14 months.
John was born February 20, 1915 in Sheboygan, to the late Gottlieb and Amelia Neuwirth. He attended Sheboygan Public Schools and Sheboygan Vocational School. In 1939, he married Mary Bastasic who preceded him death in 1963. On May 7, 1966, he married Loraine Herwig Ebstoesser at St. John's United Church of Christ. She preceded him in death on February 10, 1998.
He was employed at General Box Co. for 40 years, retiring on March 1, 1980. He was a life-long member of St. John's United Church of Christ. As a young man, he played baseball and, in later years, enjoyed watching baseball and other sports, dancing, taking walks and reading.
John is survived by his two daughters, Pat Morrison of West Virginia and Betty (Theodore) Lueck of Adell; five grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandson. He is further survived by two step-children, Allan (Charolotte) Erbstoesser and Mary (Hugh) Dales; several step-granchildren and step-great- grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was also preceded in death by his son-in-law, George Morrison; one sister and five brothers.
There will be no services or visitation for John. The Lippert Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
His family has requested that memorial contributions, in the name of John Neuwirth, be sent to Alzheimer's Association, Southeastern Wisconsin Chapter, 6130 W. National Ave., Suite 200, Milwaukee, WI 53214.
