Gary W. Kaesermann
Gary W. Kaesermann, 53, of 1505 N. 23rd Street, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, December 13, 2000, at his home.
Born July 19, 1947, in Sheboygan, Gary was a son of Wilbert W. and Elaine H. Sachse Kaesermann. He attended Farnsworth Elementary and was a graduate of Sheboygan South High School, Class of 1965. In June of 1965, he was united in marriage to Jeri Sue Pickhardt in Sheboygan.
On August 13, 1965, he enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps. He was a Corporal, stationed at Camp Pendleton, CA. He served his country in Vietnam and was wounded in combat in May of 1967. Gary was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnamese Service Medal, Vietnamese Campaign Medal, Purple Heart, Presidential Citation, Marksmanship Badge, Meritorious Unit Commendation, Combat Action Ribbon and the Good Conduct Medal. He was a member of the D.A.V. Jensen-Van Thrulen Post 15.
Gary was most recently employed by the Kohler Company, retiring in September of 1999. He previously worked for the Kingsbury Brewing Co. and the Sheboygan County Sheriffs Department from 1971 to 1981. He enjoyed hunting, reading and playing golf.
He is survived by his two children, Cory Kaesermann, Mesa AZ, Matthew Kaesermann, Milwaukee, WI; his parents, Wilbert and Elaine Kaesermann, Sheboygan; two sisters and a brother, Gail (Kevin) Dickfoss, Sheboygan, Julie (Robert) Justinger, Sheboygan, John Kaesermann, Philomath, OR; other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 16, 2000 at Lippert Funeral Home, 1132 Superior Ave. Relatives and friends are welcome at the funeral home on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park with military rites by D.A.V. Post 15.
A memorial fund has been established in his name.

Leona H. Kluczinske
Leona H. Kluczinske, age 95, formerly of 2119 Erie Ave., passed away Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2000, at Sheboygan Progressive Care Center where she had been a resident for the past six years.
Born Sept. 27, 1905, in Kiel, WI, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Minnie (Collin) Ladwig. She attended Kiel schools and later Sheboygan Business College. On Jan. 29, 1927, she married Rehnold Kluczinske of Manitowoc. They made their home in Milwaukee.
Leona was employed for 21 years by EMCO Credit Union of Milwaukee, until retiring in 1968. The couple then made their home in Rhinelander where he preceded her in death on April 23, 1979. She then moved to Sheboygan to be closer to her family.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and the Trinity Ladies' Auxiliary. She belonged to a monthly card club.
Leona is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Lee and Joanne of Sheboygan; six grandchildren, Debra (John) Lawrence of Sheboygan, David (Marlene) Kluczinske of Mequon, Denise (Philip) Plesetz of Francis Creek, Darcy (Jon) Bub of Sheboygan, Robert (Wanda) and Thomas Kluczinske of Milwaukee; eleven great-grandchildren and two great-great-granddaughters. She was also preceded in death by her son, Dale.
The funeral service for Leona will be held at Lippert Funeral Home, 1132 Superior Ave., on Friday, Dec. 8, at 12:00 noon with the Rev. Timothy J. Mech, Pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church, officiating. Visitation will be at the funeral home, on Friday, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Interment will be in Valhalla Memorial Gardens, Milwaukee.
A memorial fund, in the name of Leona H. Kluczinske, will be established for Lutheran High School.

Arlene C. Knier
Arlene C. Knier, age 63, of 2224 N. 24th St., beloved wife of Kenneth B. Knier, passed away at her home on Tuesday, October 3, 2000.
Born July 24, 1937, in Town of Meeme, Manitowoc County, Arlene was a daughter of Alvis M. and Alice Schnell Salm. She attended St. Fidelis Catholic School in Spring Valley and graduated from Kiel High School in 1955. On December 28, 1957, she married Kenneth B. Knier at St. Fidelis Catholic Church in Spring Valley. The couple moved to Sheboygan in 1959.
Arlene was a self-employed seamstress for many years, retiring in August of 1999. She attended U.W. - Sheboygan as a senior adult student and was a tutor for the Literacy Council of Sheboygan. She belonged to several Bridge clubs, enjoyed traveling, Spanish studies and interior decorating. She was communicant of St. Dominic Catholic Parish.
Arlene is survived by her husband, Kenneth; three children, Rory Knier and his wife, Susan, of Cleveland, WI, Cynthia Palm and her husband, Wayne, of Sheboygan, and Maria Knier and her husband, Timothy Theobald, of Milwaukee; six grandchildren, Amanda Knier, Brad Palm, Melanie Knier, Stephanie Palm, Adam Knier and Tony Knier; her parents, Alvis and Alice Salm of Town of Meeme; her sister, Geri Karls of Sheboygan; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her sister, LaVerne Alme, and brother-in-law, Alex Karls.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Arlene will be celebrated at St. Dominic Catholic Church, N. 21st St. and Geele Ave., on Saturday, October 7, at 11:00 a.m., with the Rev. James Jarumbo, Pastor, as celebrant. Relatives and friends are welcome at the CHURCH, on Saturday, beginning at 9:00 a.m. Inurnment of her cremated remains will take place in The Chapel of Eternal Light Mausoleum of Greenlawn Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund, in the name of Arlene C. Knier will be established for the Literacy Council of Sheboygan.

Arnold A. Kriplean
Arnold A. Kriplean, 103, formerly of 620 Bell Ave., died Monday, December 11, 2000, at Sunny Ridge Nursing Home.
Born February 24, 1897, in Sheboygan Falls, Arnold was a son of the late John and Louise (Dahmer) Kriplean. He attended Sheboygan Falls Public Schools and Sheboygan Vocational School. On June 16, 1923, he was united in marriage to Esther Piening at St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church. The couple was married for 65 years before Esther preceded him in death on October 25, 1988.
Arnold served his country during WW I in the U. S. Army. On November 10, 2000, during the Veterans Recognition Ceremony held at Sunny Ridge, he was recognized as the last remaining W.W. I Veteran in Sheboygan County.
Mr. Kriplean worked as a carpenter with his brother, Edwin, at Kriplean and Putz and then later worked for Schleider and Schneider Construction.
Arnold was a member of St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church where he served was a past Trustee and as a board member of St. Paul's School for many years. He was also a member of Aid Association for Lutherans.
He is survived by his daughter, Nyla Steinbruecker; three grandchildren, Mary and Kerry Smith, Phil and Martha Steinbruecker, John and Kathy Steinbruecker; and four great-grandchildren, Jessica and Aaron Smith, Luke and Leah Steinbruecker. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Alice Grasse; brother, Edwin Kriplean; and son-in-law, Roger Steinbruecker.
Funeral services for Arnold will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 14, at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, N. 13th St. & Lincoln Ave., with Pastors Alan Kretschmar and Bert Thompson co-officiating. Relatives and friends are welcome at the church, on Thursday, from 4:00 p.m. until the time of the service. Interment will take place in Sheboygan Falls Cemetery.
A memorial fund has been established in his name for St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church.

Melvin M. Meyer
Melvin M. Meyer, age 85, of 2023 N. 13th Street, passed away, Sunday, October 22, 2000, at Sunny Ridge Nursing Home.
Born August 26, 1915 in Sheboygan, Melvin was a son of August M. and Minnie Krepsky Meyer. On August 28, 1937, he was united in marriage to Lucille G. Wilberscheid at St. Peter Claver Catholic Church. He served in the U.S. Army during W.W.II and was stationed at Fort Bragg, NC.
He was a truck driver for Motor Transport Co. for over 20 years, retiring in 1972. He was a communicant of Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church. Melvin loved his family, especially his grandchildren, and enjoyed wood working.
Besides his wife Lucille, Melvin is survived by his three children, Dennis (Susan) and Donald (Mary), both of Sheboygan, and Rose Marie (Thomas) Blum of Green Bay; three grandchildren, Aaron Blum, Stacey and Matthew Meyer; a brother, Jerry (Marilyn) Meyer, Crandon, WI; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, a granddaughter and a sister.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Melvin M. Meyer will be celebrated at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 25, at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church, 807 Superior Ave. with the Rev. Edward F. Monroe, CSsR, as celebrant. Interment will take place at Calvary Cemetery. Relatives and friends are welcome at the CHURCH, on Wednesday, from 10:30 until the time of the mass.
A memorial has been established in his name.
The Lippert Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.

Delores M. Schetter
Delores M. Schetter, 76, formerly of 909 Ontario Ave., passed away at St. Nicholas Hospital, with her family at her side, on Tuesday, October 10, 2000, following a lengthy illness.
Delores was born April 27, 1924, in Beaver Dam, WI, to the late Arthur and Frances Keller Tews. The family moved to Sheboygan when she was a young child. She attended Pigeon River School and graduated from Central High School.
On May 17, 1947, she and Clarence E. Schetter were united in marriage at St. Dominic Catholic Church. The couple lived at 2332 North Ave. and were married for 16 years when Clarence preceded her in death on January 9. 1964.
She was a communicant of St. Dominic Catholic Parish. She enjoyed reading, crafts, seasonal decorating, playing Skat and spending time with her family.
Delores is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Joseph and Kathryn Schetter of Sheboygan Falls; two sisters, Gladys Sommersberger of Howards Grove and Evelyn (Gerald) Lieske of Sheboygan; a brother, Donald (Helen) Tews of Sheboygan; three brothers-in-law, Raymond (Tillie) Schetter of Elkhart Lake, Edmond (Clarice) Schetter of Longboat Key, FL, and John "Jack" (Beverly) Schetter of Las Vegas, NV; and two sisters-in-law, Pearl Schetter of Sheboygan and Marlene Tews of Appleton, WI. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, greatnieces, greatnephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Judith Schetter on March 21, 2000, a sister, two brothers, two brothers-in-law and a nephew.
Funeral services for Delores will be held at Lippert Funeral Home, 1132 Superior Ave., on Saturday, October 14, at 12:00 noon. The Rev. James Jarumbo, Pastor of St. Dominic Catholic Church, will officiate. Visitation will be at the funeral home, on Saturday, from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of the service. Interment will take place in Calvary Cemetery.
A memorial fund will be established in the name of Delores M. Schetter.

Carol Mae Schroeder
Carol Mae Schroeder, 71, 0f 1404 Geele Ave., passed away, following a brief illness, on Wednesday, December 13, 2000, with her loving family at her bedside.
Born September 9, 1929, in Sheboygan, Carol was a daughter of the late Edwin Raasch and Eleanor Federer Raasch Mohs. On May 8, 1948, she married Paul G. Schroeder, Sr. in Sheboygan. He preceded her in death on February 21, 1990.
She was a member of St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church. She enjoyed reading, doing crossword puzzles and listening to Packer games. She especially enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Carol is survived by six children, Sandra (Frederic) Fischer of Sheboygan, Paul Schroeder, Jr. of Woodland Hills, CA, Marlene Grunow and Debra (Ron) Benton, both of Sheboygan, Randall (Nanette) Schroeder of Easley, SC, Lisa (Scott) Zittel of Sheboygan; and nine grandchildren, Mike (special friend, Cheryl), Hannah, Amber, Amanda, Aaron, Rebecca, Andy, Derrick and Danielle. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by an infant son, step-father, Edgar Mohs, and son-in-law, Gerald Grunow.
The funeral service for Carol will be held at Lippert Funeral Home, 1132 Superior Ave., on Friday, December 15, at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Bert Thompson, of St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church, will officiate. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Thursday, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Friday, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Interment will take place in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Town of Sheboygan.
A memorial fund, in the name of Carol Mae Schroeder, will be established for St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church.
