Harold E. Ahrens, age 82, formerly of 2810 S. 11th St., died Friday, January 26, 2001, at Sunny Ridge Nursing Home where he had been a resident since October 2000. He previously had been a resident of Harmony House for 1 1/2 years.
He was born November 5, 1918, in Sheboygan, the son of the late William E. and Elsie Arndt Ahrens. He graduated from Central High School and served in the U.S. Army during WW II in the European Theater.
On May 9, 1947, Harold and Leila M. Burkhardt were united in marriage in Dubuque, IA. She preceded him in death on April 26, 1996.
He was employed at Hayssen Mfg. Co. for 30 years, retiring in March of 1982. He was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church. He also was a member of V.F.W. Wolf-Olson Post No. 1230. He had belonged to Riverdale Golf Club, Kohler Skat Club, participated in several Senior Citizen bowling leagues and enjoyed going to the Senior Center.
Harold is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Dale and Dianne of Howards Grove; his daughter and son-in-law, Janice and David John of Beaverton, OR; five grandchildren, Ryan, Dannielle and Craig Ahrens; Jessica and Joshua John; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. His sister, Marion Weisner, also preceded him in death.
A memorial service for Harold will be held at Our Savior Lutheran Church, 917 Mead Ave., on Wednesday, January 31, at 6:30 p.m., with the Rev. Marcus Powers officiating. Relatives and friends are welcome at the church, on Wednesday, for a time of visitation from 4:30 p.m. until the hour of the service. As was Harold's wish, his body will be cremated and laid to rest in Lutheran Cemetery next to his beloved wife, Leila.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund, in the name of Harold E. Ahrens, will be established for Our Savior's Lutheran Church.
John T. Barchacky
John T. Barchacky, 92, of Harbor Heights, 505 S. Water St., died Wednesday, January 24, 2001, at St. Nicholas Hospital.
He was born on April 13, 1908, in Krakow, Poland, to the late Stanley and Mary Kszyvonos Barchacky. The family emigrated to Sheboygan in 1920. He attended Washington School. As a young man he spent time at a CCC Camp in Minnesota.
On September 12, 1936, John married Evelyn S. Steffen at St. John Ev. & Ref. Church. She preceded him death on November 9, 1965. He then married Marie Shefsky at St. Peter Claver Catholic Church on January 18, 1969. She preceded him in death on July 5, 1989.
For many years, John farmed in the town of Mosel, and also was employed as a carpenter for Great Lakes Homes and various area building contractors, retiring from construction work in 1961. He was a member of U.A.W Carpenters Union Local 67. He was a communicant of St. Dominic Catholic Church. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, hunting, playing Sheepshead and going to the Senior Center.
John is survived by his two children, Phyllis M. (William C.) Nitsch of Sheboygan and Floyd A. (Jean) Barchacky of Fond du Lac; eight grandchildren, Jeff Nitsch, Linda Mueller, Laura Rixford, Jay Nitsch, Lisa Kilroy, Dean and Terry Barchacky, and Christine Knier; eleven great-grandchildren; three sisters-in-law, Evelyn Barchacky of Sheboygan Falls, Erma Barchacky and Emma Steffen, both of Sheboygan; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Anthony and Walter; two brothers-in-law and a sister-in-law.
Funeral services for John will be held at Lippert Funeral Home, 1132 Superior Ave., on Saturday, January 27, at 2:00 p.m. The Rev. James Jarumbo, Pastor of St. Dominic Catholic, will officiate. Visitation will be at the funeral home, on Saturday, from 12:00 noon until the hour of the service. Interment will take place in Lutheran Cemetery.

Theodore O. Dault
Theodore O. Dault, age 79, died Saturday, December 30, 2000, at Sunny Ridge Nursing Home, following a lengthy illness.
He was born October 2, 1921, in Planter, MI, a son of the late Oscar and Lillian (La Page) Dault. He lived in Wabeno and Laona where he attended elementary and high school. He served in the U. S Army during W.W. II in the Asiatic-Pacific Theater.
On November 21, 1943, Ted married Phyllis Brewer in Sheboygan Falls. The couple made their home in Sheboygan Falls for over 50 years.
Ted was employed at Kohler Company for 36 years, retiring in 1985, and was a member of the Kohler Quarter Century Club. Ted and Phyllis have been members of First Presbyterian Church in Sheboygan for over 50 years.
He is survived by his wife, Phyllis; daughter, Sharon of Cedarburg, WI; three beloved grandchildren, Rebecca, Clay and Thomas; and great-granddaughter, Sydney; and many wonderful nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. He was also preceded in death by a sister and three brothers.
A memorial service for Ted will be held at Lippert Funeral Home, 1132 Superior Ave., on Wednesday, January 3, at 3:00 p.m. Visitation will be at the funeral home, on Wednesday, from 2:00 p.m. until the hour of the service. Following cremation, his cremated remains will be interred at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations, in the name of Theodore O. Dault, may be directed to the American Heart Association.
Raymond P. Jacobs
Raymond P. Jacobs, of 3637 S. 12th Street, passed away, Saturday morning, January 20, 2001, at the Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center.
Born August 2, 1912, in Melrose, MN, Ray was a son of the late Matthew and Susan Pong Jacobs. He graduated from Superior High School in Superior, WI. On January 17, 1948, he was united in marriage to Marion Matuszewski in Milwaukee, WI. The couple just celebrated their 53 wedding anniversary on Wednesday.
Ray was a career Sergeant First Class in the U.S. Army, stationed both overseas and in the States. He retired from White Sand Missle Range in New Mexico. The couple then moved to Sheboygan where they have lived for the past 34 years.
He was a communicant of Immaculate Conception Catholc Church. He was a lifetime member of V.F.W. Sheboygan Memorial Post No. 9156 and the Knights of Columbus. In the summer, Ray loved to fish and golf. In the winter, he loved to bowl.
Raymond is survived by his wife, Marion, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and a sister.
A Memorial Mass will take place at a later date at St. Mary's Catholic Church, in Pulaski, WI. There will be no visitation or services at this time.
Memorials may be made in Raymond's name to the charity of one's choice.
Anton Lesicko
Anton Lesicko, 76, of 2543 Calumet Drive, passed away Sunday, January 21, 2001, at his home.
Born June 11, 1924, in Benld, IL, Anton was a son of the late Mike and Anna Surgota Lesicko. He graduated from Benld Township High School in 1942. On February 2, 1952, he was united in marriage to Margaret Ann Ritt at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church, Sheboygan.
After high school, Anton enlisted in the in the U.S. Navy from 1942 to 1946 and was a veteran of W.W. II. In 1947, he enlisted in the U.S. Army as a Sergeant First Class and continued to serve his country in the Korean War until 1963. He was stationed in Europe, Asia, Korea, and the United States. He was awarded the Victory Medal, Good Conduct Medal, and the Bronze Star.
Anton was a letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service for 20 years before retiring on July 1, 1987. He was a communicant of St. Dominic Catholic Church. He was a member of the V.F.W. Sheboygan Memorial Post 9156 and the Korean War Veterans Chapter Seventh U.S. Calvary Association. He loved gardening, traveling and his grandchildren.
Besides his wife, Margaret, Anton is survived by his children, Richard (Fran), St. Paul, MN, Mark (Lorri Isakson), Sheboygan, Michael (Kathy) Sheboygan, Kathy (Scott) Roth, Appleton, Sue (Jay) Kohls, Sheboygan, Mary Lesicko, Sheboygan, and Tony Lesicko, Racine, WI; eight grandchildren, Melissa, Amanda, Sheila, Sara, Renee, Ryan, Matthew, and Dillon; three sisters, Marge Bellmer, Osage Beach, MO, Ann Lesicko, Springfield, IL, Elizabeth Lesicko, St. Louis, MO; and a brother John (Linda) Lesicko, Huntington Beach, CA; and a sister-in-law Maureen Lesicko, Wood River, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Michael Lesicko, and a sister, Mary Caskey.
Funeral services for Anton Lesicko will take place on Tuesday, January 23, at 8:00 p.m. at the Lippert Funeral Home, 1132 Superior Ave. The Rev. James Jarumbo, Pastor of St. Dominic Catholic Church, will officiate. Interment will take place at Gardens of Peace Mausoleum. Family and friends are welcome at the funeral home on Tuesday, January 23, from 4:00 p.m. until the time of services.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in the name of Anton Lesicko for the Visiting Nursing Association Hospice Program.
Clarence C. Reimer
Clarence C. Reimer, 84, of 2710A Savannah Cr., Sheboygan, passed away Friday, January 5, 2000, at St. Nicholas Hospital following a brief illness.
Born September 2, 1916, in Sheboygan, Clarence was a son of the late Christ and Marie (Ruppel) Reimer. On February 5, 1938, he was united in marriage to Marie Menzer at Trinity Lutheran Church in Sheboygan. On May 31, 1952, he was united in marriage to Elaine G. Braun in Chicago, IL. The couple lived in Burbank, IL, until moving to Sheboygan in 1994, and were married for 45 years when she died on July 14, 1997.
He was employed as a Terminal Manager for the M & S Trucking Co. in Chicago, IL. While living in Burbank, Clarence and Elaine were members of Our Savior's Lutheran Church where Clarence had served as Church Council President. After moving to Sheboygan, they became members of First United Lutheran Church.
Clarence was an avid golfer, having scored a hole in one, and loved to bowl. He was an Eagle Scout and then later a Scout Master. He was the President of the Fifth Wheel Speakers Club, and also sang tenor in barber shop quartets where he was a 50 year member of the SPEBSQSA.
Clarence is survived by his four daughters, Marlis (Don) Snyder, IN, Sharon (Donald) Klein, Denise (James) Heling, and Sheila Reimer, all of Sheboygan; eleven grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren; two brothers, Robert, Saukville, and Richard (Sondra), Plymouth; three sisters, Marie Malzahn, Ruth Voeks, both of Sheboygan, and Florence (Andrew) Moncatch, Appleton, WI; a brother-in-law, Roger (JoAnne) Braun of Sheboygan; two sisters-in-law, Jean (Robert) Stichert of Sheboygan and Joan (Eugene) Klebs of Rosendale, WI; numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. Besides his wife, Clarence was also preceded in death by three brothers, John, Henry, and Daniel; two sisters, Lillian Hermes and Rogene Gustafson; and a brother-in-law, Herbert Braun.
Funeral services for Clarence will be held at First United Lutheran Church, 2401 Kohler Memorial Dr., on Tuesday, January 9, at 11:00 a.m. The Rev. Karl J. Nelson, pastor, will officiate. Visitation will be at the church on Tuesday, January 9, from 9:30 a.m. until the hour of the service. Interment will take place in Lutheran Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund in the name of Clarence C. Reimer, will be established for First United Lutheran Church.
Kathleen Russell
Kathleen Russell (nee Bond), 89, of Harbor Heights, 505. S. Water St., formerly of Morningside Terrace and Bradenton, FL, died Tuesday, January 23, 2001, at Harbor Heights.
Born February 18, 1911 in Nottingham, England, she was the daughter of the late James and Florence McCormack Bond. She came to the United States in 1921. On October 1, 1932, she married Robert A. Russell in Chicago, IL. The couple resided for many years in Bradenton, Fl and moved to Sheboygan in 1994. Robert preceded her in death on September 4, 1994.
Kathleen is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, James E. and Judi; two granddaughters, Lisa Italiano and Sara Russell; a great-granddaughter, Marinna Italiano; and a niece and nephew.
She will be cremated and there will be no attending services.
