Sept. 22, 1999

James 'Jim' B. Turner

Services will be Friday morning for James "Jim" B. Turner, 16, who died in his sleep Tuesday at his Hartland home.
He was a sophomore at Arrowhead High School and a member of St. Charles Catholic Church in Hartland.
He was active in the Special Olympics and the Oconomowoc YMCA Special Needs Programs.
Survivors include his parents, Jim and Kathleen; a brother, Dan; three sisters, Mary (Peter) Arndt, Elizabeth (Dale) Kandziora and Jill Turner; and his grandmothers, Elinor Turner and Barbara Karrer.
Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. Friday until the services at 11 at the church, 313 Circle Drive.
Burial will be at St. Charles Cemetery.
The Luko-Evert Funeral Home, 170 Warren Ave., Hartland, is handling the arrangements.
Memorials to Special Olympics, ARCh of Waukesha County or the Oconomowoc YMCA Special Needs Program were suggested.

Dorothy C. Wendorf

Services are set for Friday night for Dorothy C. Wendorf, 70, of Watertown and formerly of Ashippun, who died Wednesday at Shorehaven Health Center in Oconomowoc.
She was a nurse at Hartford Memorial Hospital for one year and at Shorehaven Health Center in Oconomowoc for 17 years.
She was a member of Grace Bible Church in Oconomowoc and graduated from Oconomowoc High School and Waukesha County Technical College in Pewaukee.
Survivors include her husband, Charles; four sons, David (Kim) Riesch of Rochester, Mich., Rollin (Linda) Riesch of Oconomowoc, LeRoy Riesch and William (Tina) Wendorf of Ashippun; three daughters, Diane Lighthall of Rochester, Mich., Cindy (Jim) Meadows of Nebo, N.C., and Christine (James) Costigan of Milton; and 10 grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. Friday until the services at 7 at the Pagenkopf Funeral Home, 1165 Summit Ave., Oconomowoc.
The Rev. Michael Hendricks will officiate.
Burial will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Ashippun Lutheran Cemetery in Ashippun.
Memorials to the American Cancer Society or the church were suggested.

Sept. 23, 1999

Herman Leipski

Memorial services will be held later for Herman Leipski, 71, of Waukesha, who died Wednesday at home.
A lifelong Waukesha resident, he retired from General Casting Co. in Waukesha after working there for 42 years.
Survivors include two brothers, Harvey and James O. (Margaret), and two sisters, Shirley (Robert) Pettis and Ruth Schlimgen.
Church and Chapel Funeral Service is handling the arrangements.

Patricia N. Lyons
Services will be Sunday night for Patricia N. Lyons, 64, of Waukesha, who died Wednesday at Waukesha Memorial Hospital.
She was a press operator at Sussex Plastics.
Survivors include two sons, Daniel Allan (Diana) of San Bernardino, Calif., and Tony (Karla) of Oconomowoc; three daughters, Patsy (Bob) Pronold of Dousman, Tammy (John) Lach of Virginia and Sherry (Chett) Coleman of Waukesha; a brother, Gene (Joann) O'Brien of Arizona; three sisters, Carol Schuska of West Allis, Ann (Jim) Boyer of Oconomowoc and Rosemary (Ronald) Peterson of Hartland; and seven grandchildren.
Visitation will be Sunday from 5 p.m. until services at 8 at the Schmidt & Bartelt Notbohm-Kreutzmann Funeral Home, 121 S. Cross St., Oconomowoc.
Deacon Tom Filipiak will officiate.
Burial will be Monday at St. Jerome Catholic Cemetery on Concord Road in Oconomowoc.
Memorials to the American Cancer Society, N19-W24350 Riverwood Drive, Waukesha WI 53188, or (800) 227-2345, were suggested.

Alice 'Rusty' Hubley Wilson Sawyer

Services will be Monday for Alice "Rusty" Hubley Wilson Sawyer, 79, of Austin, Texas, and formerly of Waukesha, who died Tuesday at home.
She earned a master's degree in education at the University of Southern California and later taught in Pasadena, Calif.
During World War II, she worked for the American Red Cross in Hawaii and met her husband, W. Paul Sawyer, a Waukesha resident and advertising executive for S.C. Johnson Wax Co.
The couple lived in Waukesha for many years.
Known for her work as a homemaker, teacher and writer, she traveled to more than 50 countries, pursuing archaeological, anthropological and sociological endeavors.
She collected more than 2,000 international cookbooks, a collection that was donated to the Westbank Community Library in Austin.
The couple lived in Oaxaca, Mexico, for four years before moving to Texas in 1995.
She was a member of the American Association of University Women and the Pan-Am Club.
She also worked as a hospice volunteer in Waukesha.
Her husband preceded her in death.
Survivors include two sons, W. Philip of Mesa, Ariz., and James C. (Connie) of St. Francis; two daughters, Julia S. "Judy" (James) Arndt of Rochester and Nancy S. (Michael) Summers of Minnetonka, Minn.; her sister-in-law, Mary Frances "Mimi" Sawyer of Dousman; and two grandchildren.
Visitation will be Monday from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Randle-Dable Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Ave., Waukesha.
A procession will follow to Prairie Home Cemetery, 605 S. Prairie Ave., Waukesha, for graveside services at 2 p.m.
Memorials to any Waukesha hospice, the American Cancer Society, N19-W24350 Riverwood Drive, Waukesha WI 53188, the National Multiple Sclerosis Society Wisconsin Chapter, W223-N608 Saratoga Drive, Waukesha WI 53186, or the donor's choice were suggested.

Shirley L. Schuett

Services will be Saturday for Shirley L. Schuett, 59, of Oconomowoc, who died Wednesday at Waukesha Memorial Hospital.
She had worked at Quest Technologies in Oconomowoc and was a member of St. Matthew's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Oconomowoc.
Survivors include three sons, Russell (Bonnie) Luebke of Ixonia, Corey (Susie) Schuett and Travis Schuett, both of Dousman; a daughter, Karla (Chad) Lauersdorf of Oconomowoc; five brothers, Clarence (Bernice) Breidlow of Jefferson, Robert Breidlow of Palmyra, Richard Breidlow of Illinois, Jerry (Patsy) Heling of Libertyville, Ill., and Vern Heling of Burnsville, Minn.; three sisters, Caroline (Richard) Davis of Fort Atkinson, Janine Heling of Jefferson, and Christine Heling of Randolph; and her grandmother, Eunice Heling of Randolph.
Visitation will be Saturday from noon until the services at 2 p.m. at Schmidt & Bartelt Notbohm-Kreutzmann Funeral Home, 121 S. Cross St., Oconomowoc.
The Rev. Kent Schroeder will officiate.
Memorials to the American Cancer Society, N19-W24350 Riverwood Drive, Waukesha, WI 53188, were suggested.
