Elsa P. Warriner, age 88, died Friday May 1, 2009 at Mercy Hospital. She was born November 28, 1920 to the late John and Pauline (Mattyer) Schild in Bern, Switzerland. She married Russell Warriner on September 6, 1942 in Monroe, WI. He preceded her in death on November 30, 1998. Elsa was a lifelong and active member of St. John Lutheran Church. She worked at Beloit Corp. as an Insurance Coordinator for many years until her retirement. Over the years, Elsa and Russell enjoyed the adventures of traveling throughout the United States. Elsa was a gifted gardener and enjoyed feeding the birds in her yard. She was a prolific record keeper and list maker who meticulously chronicled the many details of her professional and family life. Elsa was a wonderful mother and grandmother and will be missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by a daughter, Suzanne (Stephen) Cook of Brodhead; her son, Russell (Cheryl) Warriner, Jr. of Beloit; four grandchildren, Sara (James) Miller, Ashley Warriner, Betsy Cook and Daniel Cook; one great granddaughter, Brianna McGahee; one brother, Fred (Marlys) Schild and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and two brothers, John & Ralph.
Elsa’s Funeral Service will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday May 5, 2009, in the SCHOENFELD-MARK FUNERAL HOME, 1000 Inman Parkway, Beloit with Pastor William W. Wagner officiating. Friends will be received on Tuesday at the Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Following the service the cortege will process to Newark Cemetery for interment. A memorial fund is being established in her name. All are welcome to join family and friends in the Funeral Home Banquet Hall for luncheon and fellowship following the burial.
Walter W. Liermann II
Beloit
Walter W. Liermann II, 86, of Beloit died Wednesday April 29, 2009 at Premier Rapid Rehab. after a one week stay. He was born December 28, 1922 to the late Walter William and Frieda Sarah (Huth) Liermann in Bloomington, IL. He married the former Rosalia Anderson on May 9, 1943 in Beloit. She preceded him in death on September 24, 2004. Walter enlisted into the U. S. Navy on April 17, 1944 and served his Country until his honorable discharge on April 8, 1946. Walter was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church and active with the Boy Scouts of America for many years. He served as a Supervisor and Town Chairman for the Town of Beloit. Walter worked in various managerial positions in the manufacturing sector until his retirement. After his retirement, Walter enjoyed working part time at Ace Hardware of Beloit.
Walter is survived by his son, Walter W. Liermann III of Tamassee, SC; his daughter, Elaine R. (Jerry) Guetschow of Beloit; five grandchildren, Tracy A. (Michael) Hoey of Delavan, WI, Jerry J. (Stephanie) Guetschow of South Beloit, IL, Adam J. (Shannon) Guetschow of Beloit, WI, Walter W. (Barbara) Liermann IV of Seneca, SC and Heidi M. (Boyd) Lusk of Salem, SC; nine great grandchildren, Morgan & Evan Guetschow of South Beloit, IL, Ryan & Devin Hoey of Delavan, WI, Grayson & Irene Guetschow of Beloit, WI, Brittney, Benjamin & Logan Fulbright of SC and numerous cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Rosalia, his parents and his great granddaughter, Sydney Guetschow.
Walter’s Funeral Service will be 11:00 a.m. on Monday, May 4, 2009 at Messiah Lutheran Church, 1531 Townline Road, Beloit with Rev. Samuel Bobby officiating. Friends will be received on Monday at Church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service. The cortege will process to East Lawn Cemetery for interment following Walter’s service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial is being established to benefit Messiah Lutheran Church.
Robert A. Anderson

Robert A. Anderson, 65, of Beloit, WI, died unexpectedly on Wednesday April 29, 2009 at Beloit Memorial Hospital. Bob was born January 24, 1944 to the late Axel & Evelyn (Brecke) Anderson in Granite Falls, MN. He graduated from Granite Falls High School and attended Brookings College in South Dakota & Dunwoody College in MN. Bob served in the U.S. Army Reserves and worked as a Draftsman for Beloit Corp for 37 ½ years until his retirement in 2000. Bob married the former Barbara Perona on June 3, 1972 at Atonement Lutheran Church. Bob and Barb enjoyed traveling the United States together, especially on their Harley’s and Bob’s Trike. He was an active member and Past President of the Beloit Rifle Club. Bob enjoyed a round of golf and a good game of pool. Bob & Barb were proud winter Texans enjoying the warm weather of San Benito, TX. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Anderson; two sons, Shane (partner, Mike Tuleja) Anderson and Todd (fiancé, Kim Davies) Anderson; five grandchildren, Drew, Alexis, Austin, Kiarra & McKenna. He is further survived by his mother in law, Bethel Perona, a sister in law, Joyce Anderson, a niece, Coryanne Hartman, two nephews, Lynn Anderson & Todd Anderson and well as his faithful companion, Ms. Harley D.
He was preceded in death by his son, James Anderson, his brother James Anderson and his parents.
Bob’s Funeral Service will be Noon on Saturday May 2, 2009 at ATONEMENT LUTHERAN CHURCH, 901 Harrison Avenue, Beloit with Rev. Tina Koenig-Ray officiating. Friends will be received on Saturday at Church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. The cortege will process to Floral Lawns Cemetery for interment following Bob’s service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Atonement Lutheran Church, Rock Co. Humane Society & the March of Dimes.
Myrtle E. Ball

Myrtle E. Ball age 93, died Friday July 24, 2009 at VITAS Hospice in Wauwatosa, WI. Myrtle was born November 4, 1915 to the late John P. and Helen E. (Chrisinger) Engleman in Shady Glen, WI. She married William O. Ball on June 8, 1938 in Black River Falls, WI. He preceded her in death in May of 1988.
She is survived by her two daughters, Sharon Raimondo & Jean Casey; three grandchildren, William Raimondo, Paul (Kelly) Raimondo and their two children, Max & Rachel and Peter (Gwyneth) Raimondo and their son, Finn. She is also survived by two sisters in law, Alice Manke and Florence Ball.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and a brother, Arthur Engleman.
Myrtle’s Funeral Service will be at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday July 28, 2009 at FIRST PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH of CLINTON, 312 Church Street, Clinton with Rev. Dee M. Anderson of West Granville Presbyterian Church officiating. Friends will be received at Church on Tuesday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service. Following Myrtle’s service the cortege will process to Clinton Cemetery for interment. Mary E. Hill

Mary E. Hill, 70, of Beloit, Wisconsin, died unexpectedly on Monday, July 13, 2009, in University of Wisconsin Hospital, Madison, WI.
She was born August 6, 1938 in Black River Falls, WI, the daughter of Alfred and Hilda Hall Eberts. Mary was a 1956 graduate of Beloit Memorial High School. She married Lyle K. Hill on September 21, 1957 in St. Thomas Catholic Church, Beloit. He predeceased her on May 23, 2008. Mary was employed by Freeman Shoe Company, Benson Optical, Armark, Beloit Memorial Hospital Hospitality and OMC of Beloit. She enjoyed gardening and being the luncheon lady at Converse school.
Survivors include her sons, Gary (Michelle) Hill of Beloit, WI and David (Kelly) Hill of Rockton, IL; seven grandchildren, Tonya (Branden) Jackson, Kennan Hill, David Hill, Devin Hill, Drew Hill, Ambur Hill and Chelsey Hill all of Beloit; four great grandchildren, Mya Hill-Brown, Prasia Jackson, Mavrik Hill and Rashyia Hill; two sisters, Irene (Richard Graves) Baker and Phyllis Steele both of Beloit, WI; several nieces and nephews.
Mary was predeceased by her parents; her husband Lyle; three brothers, Virgil Eberts, Howard Eberts and an infant brother and two sisters, Wilma Eberts and Fern Graves.
Mary’s funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, July 17, 2009, in the SCHOENFELD-MARK FUNERAL HOME, 1000 Inman Parkway, Beloit WI with the Reverend Terry Pritchett of People’s Church officiating. Burial will be in Floral Lawns Memorial Gardens, South Beloit, IL. Friends may call Friday, July 17, 2009, from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home.
