William C. Bills

Beloit - William C.”Bill” Bills, 88, of Beloit, WI, passed away on Saturday March 6, 2010, in Fair Oaks Rehabilitation and Health Care Center, South Beloit, IL He was born November 28, 1921 in Sauk City, WI, the son of William S. and Hannah Rosenkranz Bills. He graduated from Madison West High School in 1940. Bill married Carolyn L. Stockstad on July 20, 1940 in Dubuque, IA. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1943 to 1945. They also farmed in Stoughton and Wilton Wisconsin. Bill was employed by Beloit Corporation from 1958 to 1966 and at Nekoosa Foundry until he retired in 1983.. As a young man, he played baseball, bowled, went fishing, deer hunting, camping and later in life watched the Chicago Cubs and Green Bay Packers. Bill enjoyed reading westerns and mystery books.

He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Carolyn; eight children, Katherine (Al) Oswald of Las Vegas, NV, Roger (Barbara) Bills of Clinton, WI, William D. “Billy” Bills and Nancy (Jack) Leonhard both of Beloit, WI, Dale (Jean) Bills of Florida, Cynthia (Ron) Bass of Dodgeville, WI, David (Kathleen) Bills of South Beloit, IL and Denise “Dee Dee” (Duane Dave) Larsen of Beloit, WI; 16 grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and one great grandchild; sister, Crystal Metzler of Stoughton, WI; several nieces, nephews, friends and his special canine companion, Casey.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Rodney Bills and Sam Bills and two grandchildren, Vickie Oswald and Margaret Bills.

William’s funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 11, 2010, in the BRIAN MARK FUNERAL HOME, 1000 Inman Parkway, Beloit, WI with Mark Maxted, Chaplain of Beloit Regional Hospice, officiating. Burial, with full Military Rites, will follow in Baldwin Cemetery, Rock Township, WI. Friends may greet the family on Wednesday, March 10, 2010 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in the funeral home.

Patricia R. Anderson

Patricia R. Anderson age 52, of Clinton, WI, passed away on Thursday March 4, 2010, in Beloit Memorial Hospital, Beloit, WI. Pat was born April 9, 1957, the daughter of Richard and Rose Dias Marx. She attended Clinton High School, class of 1975 and was employed by Walmart in their accounting department. Pat enjoyed reading and caring for her son, Matt and was a member of St. Stephen’s Catholic Church, Clinton, WI. She married Steven Anderson in May of 1974.

Pat is survived by her son, Matthew Anderson of Clinton, WI; two brothers, David Marx of TN and Ron (Mary) Marx of Clinton, WI; sister-in-law, Carol Marx of Clinton, WI; a nephew, Brian Marx, nieces, Emily (Luke) Hahn, Tricia (Kevin) Vanderhoof, Kelsey (Trevor) Wallace; two great nieces and four great nephews; special family friend Mike and Dianne Ligman and family; aunts, uncles and many dear friends.

She was predeceased by her parents, a brother Jeffry in 2005 and a niece, Leslie Ann Marx.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. on Monday March 8, 2010 at ST. STEPHEN CATHOLIC CHURCH, 716 ShuLar Lane, Clinton, with Fr. Sanctus K. Ibe officiating. Friends and family will be received on Monday from 9:00 a.m. until time of service in the church. The cortege will process to Clinton Cemetery for interment.

Robert J. Wollslair

Robert J. Wollslair age 78 died on Sunday February 28, 2010 in his home. Bob was born December 18, 1931 to the late Frank and Lillian (Schultz) Wollslair in Columbia, Co. He graduated from Clinton High School, class of 1950. Bob enlisted into the U.S. Army on October 16, 1953 and served his Country until his honorable discharge on September 29, 1955. After the service, Bob worked for the Walt Durst Corp. until he directed his career efforts toward cash crop farming. He was a member of Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church and active with the Rock River Thresheree Assoc. Bob will be fondly remembered for his strong work ethic, photographic memory and how he enjoyed Polka music and playing the accordion. He was an avid NASCAR and Dale Ernhardt Sr. fan. Bob also enjoyed collecting and using antique tractors, steam engines and just about any John Deere product. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his son, Jim Wollslair; his four brothers, Don (Dolores) Wollslair, Chuck (Sandy) Wollslair, Jerry (Lynn) Wollslair and Ken (Kathy) Wollslair; three sisters, Donna (Ron) Krebs, Jane (Gib) Frye, Sandra (John) Brandl, his good friend, Alvin Revels and several nieces and nephews

Bob’s family would like to thank Beloit Regional Hospice, Dr. Shelly Johnson and Rev. Edward May for the care and compassion they gave Dad these last few months.

Bob’s funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. on Thursday March 4th, 2010 at TRINITY Ev. LUTHERAN CHURCH, 1850 Cranston Road with Rev. Edward H. May officiating. Friends will be received on Wednesday March 3rd at the Brian Mark Funeral Home, 1000 Inman Parkway, Beloit from 5:00 pm. until 8:00 p.m. and again on Thursday at Church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. The cortege will process to Shopiere Cemetery for Full Military Burial Rites and interment. A memorial is being established to benefit Beloit Regional Hospice and Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church.

Kristina Lyn Tucker

Rockford, IL - Kristina Lyn Tucker, age 40 died on Thursday February 18, 2010 at Swedish American Hospital in Rockford. She was born November 29th, 1969 the daughter of Phillip and Lenore (Pierce) Tucker in Rockford. Kristina attended Harlem High School and traveled extensively throughout the United States before starting a family.

She is survived by her daughters, Amanda Tucker and Tessa Moffitt; her son, Lucas Hoffman, her father, Phillip Tucker and two brothers, Phil Jr. and Paul (Michelle) Tucker.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Lenore Tucker, a sister, Lorrie VanDyke and her son, Jamie Tucker.

Kristina’s Memorial Service will be Wednesday February 24th from 12:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at the Harlem Community Center, 900 Roosevelt Rd. Machesney Park. A memorial is being established in her name.

Rodney E. Dalberg

Beloit - Rodney Ernest Dolberg, 76, of Beloit, Wisconsin, died Monday, February 15, 2010 in the Beloit Memorial Hospital. He was born July 29, 1933 the son of the late Julius and Minerva (Coppernall) Dalberg in Blue River, WI. Rod graduated from Blue River High School, class of 1951. He enlisted into the U.S. Army on June 21, 1953 and served his Country until his honorable discharge on June 18, 1956. Rod married the former Beverly Treptow March 29, 1992 at Our Saviors Lutheran Church. He was self employed as an auctioneer for nearly 50 years until his retirement. Rod enjoyed dancing, woodworking, hunting and fishing. Bev & Rod traveled extensively throughout the globe enjoying the many sights and sounds of the free world. He was a member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church, a life member of VFW Kienow – Hilt Post 1621, and active with the Moose & Eagles Club. He loved his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Rod will be greatly missed by the many people he touched over the years.

Rod is survived by his wife Beverly Dalberg; four children, Barb (Bill) Mammrow, Dawn Dalberg, Eugene Dalberg & Julie (Jerry) Letcher; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; his sister Virginia (Robert) Storm and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his son, Ernest, three brothers, Bernard, Buford and Donald and three sisters, Kathleen, Jessie Mae and Gladys.

Rod’s Funeral Service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 18, 2010 at OUR SAVIOR LUTHERAN CHURCH, 749 Bluff Street, Beloit, WI with the Pastor Erik Jelinek officiating. Friends may greet the family on Thursday at Church from 9:00 a.m. until time of service. The cortege will process to Eastlawn Cemetery for Interment and Full Military Burial Rites. A memorial is being established in his name.

Karen J. Harter Prouty

West Bend, WI - Karen Joy Harter Prouty, 53, of West Bend, Wisconsin, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly in her home on Thursday, February 11, 2010. She was born, Karen Joy Harter on November 18, 1956 in Beloit, Wisconsin, the daughter of James and Dorothy Reum Harter. Karen was a 1974 graduate of Beloit Memorial High School. She married Joshua Prouty on July 20, 1998 in Rockford, IL. Karen graduated from WCTC in Waukesha, WI and was employed by Aurora HealthCare in Hartford, WI as a Lab Tech. Karen enjoyed traveling, Milwaukee Brewers, and especially her two grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband Joshua; son, Brent Beiter of West Bend, WI and a daughter, Jamey (Jeremy) Hickey of West Bend, WI; her grandchildren, Seienna and Benjamin Hickey both of West Bend, WI; her mother, Dorothy Harter of Beloit, WI; sisters, JoAnn (Michael) Allen of Lincoln, NE, Lynn (Richard) Myers of Roscoe, IL, Kathy (Jeff) Case of Roscoe, IL; brother, Jack Harter of Rockford, IL; sister-in-law, Rosemary Harter of Roscoe, IL; six nephews and a niece, numerous great nephews and great nieces and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her father, James Harter, brother, Steven Harter, niece, Michelle Harter and a sister-in-law, Evelyn Harter.

A Celebration of Karen’s Life will be 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday, February 17, 2010 in the BRIAN MARK FUNERAL HOME, 1000 Inman Parkway, Beloit, WI with Brother Arthur Washington officiating. Friends may greet the family from 11:00 a.m. until time of service, Wednesday, in the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family would be appreciated.
