Doris A. Repaal
Clinton
Age 82, died on Saturday February 14, 2009 at Pioneer Court in Beloit. Doris was born January 3, 1927 to the late Narve and Irma (Otto) Hotvedt in Eau Claire, WI. She married Harry Repaal on September 21, 1946 in Stillwater, MN. He preceded her in death on May 2, 1993. Doris settled in Eau Claire for fourteen years until moving to Clinton in 1960. Doris was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Clinton. She was a wonderful homemaker, who loved family gatherings and time spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Doris enjoyed traveling and was an active volunteer at Beloit Memorial Hospital and a Clinton EMT. She will be greatly missed by the many people she touched.
She is survived by her four sons, Gregory (Susan) Repaal of Clinton, Jon (Joan) Repaal of North East Maryland, Jeffrey (Peggy) Repaal of Richmond, IL, Steven (Diane) Repaal of Ashby, MA; two daughters, Kathryn (Paul) Schmalz of Clinton and Krista (Shaun) Eberdt of Janesville; seventeen grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents.
Doris’s Funeral Service will be 11:00 AM on Wednesday February 18, 2009 at the SCHOENFELD-MARK FUNERAL HOME, 504 Milwaukee Road, Clinton with Rev. Neddy Astudillo officiating. Friends will be received on Wednesday at the Funeral Home from 10:00 AM until the time of service. Following the service the cortege will process to Clinton Cemetery for interment. In lieu of flowers, a memorial is being established to benefit the Heartland Hospice Memorial Fund & the Presbyterian Church of Clinton.

Richard W. Larsen
“Gus”
Beloit
Age 77, died Tuesday December 16, 2008 at Premier Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing in Beloit. Gus was born May 26, 1931 to the late Gilbert and Marie (Schultz) Larsen in Town of Bradford, WI. He enlisted into the U.S. Army on April 8, 1952 and served until his honorable discharge on March 18, 1953. Gus married the former Patricia Hoey on March 1, 1952. Gus was also married to Beverly Allen. Gus married Valerie Spranger on May 15, 1987 in Beloit. He graduated from Clinton High School and was an avid bowler. Gus owned and operated the Clinton Bulk Milk Transportation Company and was also employed as a machine mechanic for Norwood Mills and Robinson Cleaners.
He is survived by his wife, Valerie Larsen of Beloit; his three children, Thomas (Anna) Larsen of Beloit, Betsy (Alexander) Larsen Blyth of Rockford and Jana Larsen of Hermiston OR; three grandchildren, Brad (Mandy) Larsen, Brian Larsen and Kimberly Larsen; two great grandchildren, Payton Kuhn & Ryley Kuhn; his brother Norman G. Larsen and seven nieces and nephews, Patricia, Bobby, Debbie, Bonnie, Kenneth, Catherine and DeWayne.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Jerry Larsen and a nephew, Steven Larsen.
Viewing and visitation will be Friday December 19, 2008 at the SCHOENFELD-MARK Funeral Home, 504 Milwaukee Road, Clinton from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
A Private Family Graveside Service will be planned at Milton Lawns Cemetery in Janesville. A memorial is being established in his name.

Harvey J. Daskam
Beloit
Harvey J. Daskam, 81, of Beloit, WI, died Sunday December 14, 2008 at Beloit Memorial Hospital. Harvey was born April 13, 1927 to the late John and Loyola (Gremminger) Daskam in Beloit. He enlisted into the U.S. Navy in 1944 and served his Country until his honorable discharge in 1946. After the war, Harvey graduated from Beloit High School. He married the former Doris Larson on April 19, 1952 in Janesville. She preceded him in death on May 5, 2002. Harvey worked as a machinist at Ingersoll for 42 years until his retirement in 1992. He was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church, the South Beloit American Legion Post #288 and volunteered at Caritas food pantry. Harvey was an avid Packer Fan and enjoyed working in his workshop and maintaining an annual garden. He will be missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his six children, David Daskam, Kevin (Rose) Daskam, Craig (Lori) Daskam, Michael (Phyllis) Daskam, Dennis (Nita) Daskam and Patricia (Thomas) Walker all of Beloit; fourteen grandchildren, Allan (Kara), Jason (Erin), Christopher, Matthew, Cason (Heather White), Philip, Peter, Mariah (Kevin Brown), Kimberly, Christopher, Joseph, Sara, Amanda and Hannah; ten great grandchildren, Mackenzy, Janessa, Tyler, Alexandra, Kelsi, Alan, Kelbi, Garrett, Brayden and Nathan and a special friend, Mardella Dummer.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Doris Daskam, his brother, Reginal and his sister Evelyn.
Harvey’s Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. on Thursday December 18, 2008 at ST. JUDE CATHOLIC CHURCH, 737 Hackett Street, Beloit with Fr. Steve Kortendick officiating. Friends will be received on Wednesday at the Schoenfeld-Mark Funeral Home, 1000 Inman Parkway, Beloit from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. with a Scripture Service at 4:00 p.m. and on Thursday at Church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service. A memorial fund is being established.

Mr. Kenneth F. Dull and Mrs. Muriel Dull

Kenneth F. Dull, age 87 of Beloit died Sunday November 23, 2008 at the Harbor House in Beloit and Muriel I. Dull, age 86 of Beloit, died Friday November 28, 2008 at the Harbor House in Beloit.
Ken took responsibility for showing, living and doing a life of unconditional love. He married his soul mate, partner, friend and lover, the former Muriel Oram on May 21, 1949. They played, lived, loved together and died together. Thank you Mother and Father, you gave us life and will be remembered, missed and loved eternally.
They are survived by two daughters, Pamela Dull Smith of Milton & Janice (Denny) Coppernol of Menomonee; a son James (Sharon) Dull of Beloit; five grandchildren, Aaron (Leaa) Coppernol, Andrew Coppernol, Abby (Marco) Biodich, Nate (Amber) Smith and Sami (Seth) Boulden and many friends and neighbors.
A Joint Memorial Service for Ken & Muriel will be 7:00 p.m. on Monday December 15, at the FIRST PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH 501 prospect Street, Beloit with Rev. Ian A. Stirrat officiating. Friends will be received on Monday at Church from 6:30 p.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial is being established.

Lois Jean Swacina
Beloit
Lois J. Swacina, 85, of Beloit, WI, died Wednesday, March 25, 2009, in her home. She was born October 15, 1923 in Delavan, WI, the daughter of Ralph and Maude Clement Utiger. She was a 1941 graduate of Delavan High School, Delavan, WI. Lois married Howard G. Swacina on June 30, 1944 in Second Congregational Church in Delavan, WI. A homemaker all her life, she was involved with the YMCA Boys Choir and enjoyed cross stitching, knitting and crossword puzzles.
Lois is survived her husband, Howard; her children, Bruce (Cheryl) Swacina of Roscoe, IL, Lynn (Ram) Arvikar of North Andover, Mass., Larry (Cyndy) Swacina of Rockton, IL and Dwight Swacina of Beloit, WI; six grandchildren, Amy (Dan) Kisella of Chicago, IL, Dena (Kyle) Vavra of Rockford, IL, Sheila (Jonathan) Fox-Arvikar of Stoneham, Mass., Michael Arvikar of Wakefield, Mass., Jake (Jill) Miller of River Falls, WI, and Leanne Swacina of Milwaukee, WI; a great grandson, Joseph Kisella of Chicago, IL ; a brother, Wayne Utiger of Sister Bay, WI, and several nieces, nephews and their families.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Vera Schmidt and Beth Justilano, and two brothers, Lee Utiger and Morris Utiger.
Lois’s Funeral Service will be 1:30 p.m. on Monday, March 30, 2009, in Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1850 Cranston Road, Beloit, WI with Reverend Edward May officiating. Burial will be in Eastlawn Cemetery. Lois requested that there be no visitation.

Steven W. Dooley
Rock Township
Steven W. Dooley, 53 died Tuesday March 24, 2009 surrounded by his family at home. Steve was born January 4, 1956 to LaVern and Phyllis (Saunders) Dooley in Beloit. He graduated from Turner High School in 1974 and was quickly hired by Fairbanks Morse. His career in the engine assembly department continued for the next 35 years. Steve was profoundly proficient at Fairbanks and worked as an international field service technician for many years. He enjoyed his worldwide travels but loved to be home to restore muscle cars with his two sons. His ’72 Silver Chevy Chevelle is a true work of art. Steve was an avid outdoorsman, and enjoyed fishing and hunting. Over the years he supported White Tail, Pheasants Forever and Ducks Unlimited. Steve also enjoyed tending to his vegetable garden and competing with Mike on who could grow the best tomatoes. Many of his family and friends enjoyed the fresh and canned fruits of his labor. Steve’s generosity and love will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his longtime girlfriend, Nora Rhead, his two sons, Matthew (girlfriend, Ashley Huber) Dooley & Derek (girlfriend, April Cazy) Dooley; his mother, Phyllis Dooley; his brother Mike (Kristie) Dooley; a nephew, Aaron (Kim) Dooley and their children, Hanna, Levi & Jaxon; a niece Kyla (Jared) Wilke and their son, Jagger and the mother of his children, Debbie Dooley. He is further survived by four uncles, Jim (Doris) Saunders, Allan (June) Saunders, Lee (Pat) Saunders and Mark (Barb) Saunders as well as many other friends and relatives.
He was preceded in death by his father, LaVern.
Steve’s funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday March 28, 2009, in the SCHOENFELD-MARK FUNERAL HOME, 1000 Inman Parkway, Beloit with Rev. Stanley C. Curtis of the River of Life United Methodist Church officiating. Friends will be received on Friday at the funeral home from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and again on Saturday from 10:00 AM until the time of service. Following the service the cortege will process to Baldwin Cemetery for interment. A memorial fund is being established by the family in Steve’s memory.

Robert L. Halbman
Beloit
Robert L. Halbman, 90, of Beloit, WI, died Monday, March 23, 2009, in Beloit Memorial Hospital, Beloit, WI. He was born May 31, 1918, in Merrimac, WI, the son of Loyd John and Clara Krieser Halbman. Robert was a graduate of Beaver Dam High School, Beaver Dam, WI and later served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1944 to 1946. He married Gladys Symanek on October 10, 1942 in the First United Methodist Church of Beloit. He was employed by Fairbanks Morse & Company – Engine Division as a Lab Technician retiring in 1983 after 43 years of service. Robert was a member of the Beloit Rifle Club, South Beloit American Legion Post # 288, Fairbanks Morse Quarter Century Club, the Beloit Amateur Radio Club with call letters AJ9P, Marine Corps League and the FM Goodfellowship Club.
Robert is survived by his wife, Gladys, his daughter, Mary (Richard) Rampenthal of Beloit, WI; his son, Glen Halbman of Beloit, WI; a granddaughter, Shari Rampenthal of LaCrosse, WI, sister-in-law, Wilma Warren of Beloit, WI; several nieces, nephews and their families and many friends including his Ham Radio buddies.
He was predeceased by his parents and a brother, Donald G. Halbman.
Robert’s funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 26, 2009, in the SCHOENFELD-MARK FUNERAL HOME, 1000 Inman Parkway, Beloit with Rev. Stanley C. Curtis of the River of Life United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Eastlawn Cemetery, Beloit, WI. Friends will be received on Thursday in the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. A memorial fund is being established by the family in Robert’s memory.
