Viola E. George
Viola E. George, 86, of Monona died Monday, Aug. 14, 2000, at St. Mary's Hospital in Madison. She was born on Oct. 25, 1913, to Alfred and Kathryn Beckwith. She married Ralph F. George on Nov. 29, 1931, in Belvidere, Ill. She is survived by her daughter, Gladys (Richard) Paulson of Fond du Lac; several grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, two sons, her parents and seven brothers and sisters. Services: Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Friday at Roselawn Memorial Park Chapel Mausoleum, 501 Femrite Drive, Monona. Jerome L. Keuler
Jerome L. Keuler, 75, found eternal peace on Tuesday, Aug. 15, 2000, with his family at his side. Mr. Keuler was born on Dec. 1, 1924, in Mount Calvary, a son of Henry and Alvina Weber Keuler. He resided at 11216 W. Copeland Ave., Hales Corners, and was employed at Waukesha Motors in the engineering department before he retired. Survivors include his wife, Joanne; three daughters, Denise (Dan) Bates, Donna (Phil) Zurowski and Gay Boulware (Keith) Moncrief; two sons, Craig (Anne) Keuler and R. Stephen Boulware; one brother, Marvin, of Mount Calvary, and one sister, Myra (Don) Wilhelms of Fond du Lac. He is further survived by 11 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Marian. Services: Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Our Lord's United Methodist Church, 5000 S. Sunnyslope Road, New Berlin. Entombment will follow at Wisconsin Memorial Park. Visitation: Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at Hartson Funeral Home, 11111W. Janesville Road, Hales Corners, and from 9 a.m. until the time of service Saturday at the church. George H. Ottery Jr.
George H. Ottery Jr., 52, died Tuesday, Aug. 15, 2000, at his residence in Milwaukee. He was born Nov. 5, 1947, to George H. and Joyce Bingen Ottery Sr. He attended St. Joseph Grade School and graduated from St. Mary's Springs Academy in 1965. On Sept. 25, 1993, he married Sandy Berken in Fond du Lac. Mr. Ottery served in the U.S. Armed Forces in the Vietnam Conflict from 1966 to 1968. He attended University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh and received an associate degree in welding from Moraine Park Technical College. He was employed in various occupations throughout his life. He was a counselor at Kettle Moraine Boys School, a self-employed painter, a stained glass craftsman and a welder at Flaherty Co. and Chicago & North Western Transportation Co. Survivors include his wife, Sandy; one daughter, Kim Marie (Stan) Brunzello and one granddaughter, Alexis Marie Brunzello, all of Milwaukee; his mother, Joyce Ottery of Fond du Lac; his father, George H. (Elaine) Ottery Sr. of Fond du Lac; two brothers, John P. (Jeanine) Ottery of Pensacola, Fla., and Michael (Sharon Jones) Ottery of Malone; two sisters, Liz Ottery of Portage and Sue (Dale Rholfs) Ottery of Fond du Lac; two nieces, Maggie and Kelli Jo Ottery of Oconomowoc; one nephew, Peter J. Ottery of Denton, Texas; and an uncle and aunt, David and Darlene Ottery of Fond du Lac. He was happiest when he spent time with his granddaughter, Alexis, his parents and his brothers and sisters. George embraced the Menominee Nation culture as an honored family member of the Edith and Hillary "Sparky" Waukua Sr. family and was honored with a special name. Throughout his years, he made special efforts to visit the Menominee Reservation, where he had many friends. George will be remembered for his great love for his family and friends, his infectious laugh and his heart that was bigger than the Harley motorcycle that he found great joy in riding. Services: Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Twohig Funeral Home in Fond du Lac. A military service will follow. Cremation will take place, with burial at Calvary Cemetery at a later date. Visitation: Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday.

Le Roy 'Silver' W. Henning
Le Roy "Silver" W. Henning, 60, of N7569 Gemini Way, Fond du Lac, died Monday, Aug. 14, 2000, at Mercy Medical Center, Oshkosh, following complications after heart surgery. He was born on April 7, 1940, in Eldorado, the son of Lee C. and Aileen M. Van Hierden Henning. Le Roy was an avid outdoorsman and an excellent carpenter. He is survived by five children, Cheryl Henning of Sheboygan, Glenn (Wanda) Henning of Eldorado, Colleen (John) Puls of Waupun, Darvin Henning of Sheboygan, and Lee Henning of Sheboygan; 10 grandchildren; a sister, Suzanne Findley of Seneca, Ore.; and a special friend, Joann Worth of Fond du Lac. He was preceded in death by his parents. Services: Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday at Mach Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. Richard Balken officiating. Burial will be at North Eldorado Cemetery. Visitation: Visitation will be at the funeral chapel from 4 p.m. Thursday until the time of the services. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in his name.
Le Roy left this world too soon, but our love for him will last forever.

Marcella M. Diener
Marcella M. Diener, 80, of 151 S. 6th St., Hilbert, passed away Monday, Aug. 14, 2000, at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Appleton. Services: Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Mary Catholic Church, Hilbert, with the Rev. Rallen Stencil officiating. Burial will be at St. Mary Cemetery, Brillion. There will be a vigil service at Wieting Funeral Home, Brillion, at 6:30 p.m. Thursday. Visitation: Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, and at the church from 9 a.m. Friday until the time of the services. Conrad Mickelson
Conrad Mickelson, 95, of 1700 Midway Road, Menasha, died Sunday, Aug. 13, 2000, at Oakridge Gardens Nursing Center. He was born April 28, 1905, in North Muskegon, Mich., a son of Hans and Anna Rhynerson Mickelson. He graduated from Nyack College in Nyack, N.Y., in 1932. Conrad married Lelah E. Erickson on June 23, 1934, in Fond du Lac. She preceded him in death on Aug. 6, 1998. Conrad and his wife lived in Michigan, Ohio, West Virginia, Virginia and Wisconsin, where he was a minister with the Christian Missionary Alliance and later with the United Methodist Church. Mr. Mickelson is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Dan and Barbara Mickelson of Neenah; his daughter and son-in-law, Linda and James DeBlaey of Waldo; five grandchildren, Darrel and David Gast, Karen Stokdyk, and Tony and Travis Gille; and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; his stepmother, Selma Lee, who raised him; and nine brothers and sisters. Services: Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 16, at Tomahawk United Methodist Church, 1104 School Road, Tomahawk, with the Rev. Margaret DeMaris officiating. Interment icon will be at the Prairie Rapids Cemetery, Nokomis. Visitation: Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. at the church until the time of the services. A memorial has been established. Raymond E. Seyfert, Jr.
Raymond E. Seyfert, Jr., 54, of Milwaukee, died Saturday, Aug. 12, 2000, at St. Luke's Medical Center, Milwaukee. He was born Dec. 21, 1945, the son of Raymond and Lovon Mayhew Seyfert, Sr. He was a 1964 graduate of Oakfield High School and served in the U.S. Marines. He worked as a house painter for many years until ill health forced an early retirement. He played and enjoyed baseball in the Lomira area and in Milwaukee. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and playing cards with them. Survivors include his mother, Lovon of Middle Inlet; his brothers and sisters, Patricia (Ralph) Johnson of Kansas, Jean (Loretta) Seyfert of Florida, Janice Volbright of Byron, Nancy (Charles) Andrews of South Byron, Betty Ryan of Oakfield, and Jack (Patti) Seyfert of Oakfield, Gary (Ann) Seyfert of Fond du Lac, and Glen (Jackie) Seyfert of Peshtigo; special niece and nephew, Shelly (Brian) Steeno of Green Bay and Kurt Seyfert of Middle Inlet; a good friend, John Koski of Franklin; and many other nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father; a brother, Richard, and sister-in-law, Joy; and three brothers-in-law, John, Dick, and Bruce. Services: Funeral services will be held at 5 p.m. today, Aug. 15, at Trinity United Methodist Church, Lomira. The Rev. Scott McMurray will officiate and burial will be at Brownsville Cemetery. Visitation: Visitation will be at the church from 3 p.m. today until the time of the services. Kietzer Funeral Home is handling the arrangements. Junior enjoyed life to the fullest and enjoyed the company of his family and friends. He will be missed by all.

Loretta L. Sims
Loretta L. Sims, 84, of 1202 Wisconsin Ave., North Fond du Lac, died Monday, Aug. 14, 2000, at St. Agnes Hospital. She was born on July 14, 1916, in Pella, the daughter of John C.H. and Lydia E. Henschel Stroschine. On June 20, 1953, Loretta married Delbert D. Sims at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, North Fond du Lac. She worked as a waitress at the Hotel Retlaw and various supper clubs. Loretta was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church and its Ladies Aide. She is survived by her husband, Delbert "Cotton" Sims; a sister, Marcella (Francis) McCullen of North Fond du Lac; a sister-in-law, Eleanore Stroschine of North Fond du Lac; nieces and nephews; and her two brothers-in-law, Uel (Patricia) Sims of Springfield, Mo., and Pete (Dorothy) Sims of Sunny Valley, Ore. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Robert Stroschine and Harold (Audrey) Stroschine. Services: Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, North Fond du Lac, with the Rev. Thomas H. Behnke officiating. Burial will be at Ledgeview Memorial Park. Norma B. Voss
Norma B. Voss, 91, of 541 Monmouth St., Fond du Lac, and formerly of 12 S. School St., Mayville, died Sunday, Aug. 13, 2000, at Mayville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born Jan. 30, 1908, in the Town of Herman, a daughter of Albert Sr. and Ida Lindert Kaepernick. On Jan. 8, 1927, she married Roland A. Voss in Iron Ridge. He preceded her in death in 1983. Norma was a member of St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, Mayville. Survivors include her children, Joan (Lester) Twigg of Eagle River, Geraldine (Richard) Marten of Fond du Lac, Betty (Clarence) Lawver of Fond du Lac, Earl Voss of Fountain Hills, Ariz., Alan Voss of Mayville, and Norma "Dolly" Worden of Fort Worth, Texas; one sister-in-law, Clara Kaepernick of Beaver Dam; 17 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one son, Norman; four brothers; three sisters; one grandson; and one great-grandson. Services: Funeral services will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, Mayville. The Rev. David Redman will officiate and burial will be at Union Cemetery, Theresa. Rosella Braun
Rosella "Sally" Braun, 82, of St. Peter, died Friday, Aug. 11, 2000, at St. Agnes Hospice Home of Hope, after a short illness. She was born on Feb. 4, 1918, in St. Peter, a daughter of Albert and Cecelia Schmitz Laudolff. She attended St. Peter Catholic Grade School. On May 13, 1940, she married Alois H. Braun at St. Peter's Church. The couple farmed the Braun Homestead in rural Mount Calvary until retiring in 1979 and moving to St. Peter. Her husband died in 1995. Sally enjoyed a variety of sports, playing cards and being with her family. She was a member of St. Peter Church and its Christian Mothers Society and Parish Quilters, and was a volunteer quilter at Villa Loretto Nursing Home in Mount Calvary. Survivors include two sons, Jerry (Sue) of St. Anna and Bob (Mary) Braun of St. Cloud; three daughters, Mary (Jim) Mueller of St. Cloud, Ann (Frank) Kramer of Dotyville and Pat (Milt) Dilling of Brown Deer; one daughter-in-law, Sandi (Bob) Roehrig of Fond du Lac; 20 grandchildren, Tim, Dan and Jason Braun, Sharon Pluim, Jeff, Steve, Kris and Kevin Mueller, Karen Vermulen, Brian and Barbie Kramer, Laurie Moore, Ross and Brad Dilling, Joe, Rocky and Mike Braun, Rebecca, and Robert J. and Gregory Braun; eight great-grandchildren, Danielle, Shelby and Nicholas Braun, Aspen and Max Mueller, Kirsten Vermulen, and Danyel and Janell Pluim. Preceding her in death were her parents; a son Joe; a grandson, Ronnie; and a brother, Victor Laudolff. Services: Funeral services will be held at 9:45 a.m. Monday at Huss Funeral Home in St. Cloud and at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Family Church in St. Peter, with the Rev. Dennis Budka officiating. Entombment will be at Shrine of Rest Mausoleum in Fond du Lac. Visitation: From 4 to 8 p.m. today at Huss Funeral Home. A memorial fund has been established in her name.

Isabelle 'Belle' M. Due
Isabelle "Belle" M. Due, 78, of Green Bay, formerly of Campbell-port, died Friday, Aug. 11, 2000, at Ledgeview Nursing Home in De Pere, following complications from open-heart surgery. She was born on Jan. 13, 1922, in De Pere, a daughter of Frank and Elizabeth Huevelmans Hermsen. On Feb. 5, 1942, she married Eugene P. Due, son of Orin and Rheba Whitmer Due, at Kahoka, Mo. He preceded her in death. Isabelle was employed during World War II as a ship riveter and parachute packer. She also worked at American Can Co., and was an officer at Taycheedah Correctional Institution. She was a past member of American Legion Post No. 11, Harley Owners Group, and Retreads M.C. International Inc. Survivors include two sons, Gary (Charlotte) of Fond du Lac and Paul (Michele) of Green Bay; two daughters, Barbara Due and Joyce Kusnierz, both of Fond du Lac; her cherished grandchildren, Brian Due, Jason Due, Chad Due, and Nicole, Kristopher and Andrew Kusnierz; four sisters, Rose Vandertie and Bernadette Staddler, both of Green Bay, Tess Frisbie of Udall, Kan., and Elaine Duquaine of De Pere; one brother, Gerald Hermsen of Green Bay, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Preceding her in death were four brothers, James, Norbert, Robert and Clarence Hermsen; and three sisters, Ann Wilson, Bess Jacobe and Betty Jean Hermsen. Services: Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Shrine of Rest Chapel Mausoleum at Ledgeview Memorial Park Cemetery, Fond duLac, with the Rev. Gerald Schrankler officiating. Visitation: From 4 to 8 p.m. today at Ryan Funeral Home, 305 N. 10th St., De Pere, and after 1l a.m. Tuesday at Shrine of Rest Mausoleum, Fond du Lac. A prayer service will be held at 6:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, followed by an American Legion Post No. 11 Honor Guard service at 7 p.m. Ryan Funeral Home of De Pere is assisting the family. Harold 'Jack' Henning
Harold E. "Jack" Henning, 76, of Brandon died at his home on Friday, Aug. 11, 2000. He was born on Aug. 29, 1923, in Fond du Lac County, a son of Richard and Anna Miller Henning, On Jan, 29, 1943, he married Margaret Daane at Alto. One week later, he entered the U.S. Army Air Force for three years, driving ammunition supply trucks to the front lines for Division No. 2490. Mr. Henning farmed, then in 1946 started his own milk hauling business, which he operated until 1978. He also worked on the second shift at Speed Queen Co. in Ripon for many years. He was a member of Bethel Reformed Church in Brandon and served as a church deacon. Survivors include his wife, Margaret of 57 years; two daughters, Connie (Dennis) Dahlke of Brandon and Cindy (Joseph) Perry of Rosendale; five sons, Vernon (Sharon) Henning of Green Lake, Bruce (Lenora) Henning of Alto, Gary (Bonnie) Henning, Dale (Dawn) Henning and Vance (Mary) Henning, all of Brandon; 18 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Fredrick and Richard Henning, both of Sun City, Ariz.; two sisters, Lillian Stark of Oshkosh and Lois Waters of Juneau; other relatives and many dear friends. Preceding him in death were his parents; a precious grandson, Coy Dirk Henning; two sisters, Jeanette and May; and four brothers, Floyd, Alfred, Gordon and Lyle. Services: Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Bethel Reformed Church in Brandon, with the Rev. Le Roy Boender officiating. Burial will follow at Brandon Cemetery. Visitation: From 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Wachholz Family Funeral Home in Ripon and from 10 a.m. until the time of services Tuesday at the church. A memorial has been established.

Danielle Johnson
Danielle M. Johnson, 9, of 200 Center St., North Fond du Lac, died Friday, Aug. 11, 2000, at Theda Clark Regional Medical Center in Neenah. She was born on April 1, 1991, in Fond du Lac, a daughter of Cindy Champeau and Chris Johnson. Danielle attended Friendship Learning Center and would have been in the fourth grade this fall. She was a member of Presentation Church in North Fond du Lac. She played softball and basketball and was very energetic and spirited. Survivors include her mother, Cindy Champeau of North Fond du Lac; one brother, Justin at home; maternal grandparents, Victor and Arlene Champeau of Appleton; maternal great-grandfather, Ervin Behrend of Coleman; three maternal aunts, Bonnie (Joseph ) Hall and their children, Desiree, Dominic and Trevor, Janice (Chris) LaVarda and their children, Luke and Gina, and Lana (Gerard) Mader, all of Appleton; her father, Chris Johnson; and paternal grandparents, Guy and Beverly Johnson of Appleton. Services: A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held at noon Tuesday at Presentation Church in North Fond du Lac. The Rev. John O'Brien will officiate. Burial will follow at St. Charles Cemetery in the Town of Taycheedah. Visitation: From 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, and from 10 a.m. until the time of services Tuesday at the church.

Royal R. Schuman
Royal R. Schuman, 55, of 871 S. Main St., Fond du Lac, died Friday, Aug. 11, 2000, at his home. He was born Sept. 3, 1944, a son of Roy A. and Lucette R. McDermott Schuman. On Dec. 12, 1996, he married Alice L. Bergman in Fond du Lac. Royal had been a projectionist at the Retlaw and Fond du Lac theatres for over 25 years. He had also been employed at Edith's. Royal enjoyed woodworking. He is survived by his wife, Alice; an aunt, Shirley Hernandez of Fond du Lac; and two uncles, Willis McDermott of North Fond du Lac and Carlton (Pat) McDermott of Fond du Lac. He was preceded in death by his parents and an uncle, Louis McDermott. Services: Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Mach Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. Dr. Martin Koehler officiating. Inurnment will be at Ledgeview Memorial Park Mausoleum. Visitation: Visitation will be at the chapel from 4 p.m. Tuesday until the time of the services. Mach Funeral Chapel is serving the family.
