Estellia A. Kraus
Estellia A. Kraus, 80, formerly of 180 3rd Street died Saturday, July 29, 2000, at Grancare Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, where she was a resident. She was born Aug. 23, 1919, in the Town of Empire, a daughter of John and Elsie Koenig Kiersten. On July 26, 1941, she married George J. Kraus at St. Joseph Church. He preceded her in death on April 7, 1993. Mrs. Kraus was a member of St. Joseph Church, Fond du Lac Bears Hockey Boosters Club and the Fondy Riders Motorcycle Club. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, baking, hockey, racing both cars and motorcycles, and she was a musician. Survivors include four daughters, Sandra (Bob) Stenz of Eldorado, Pat Baehler, Paula (Bruce) Kopischke and Susan Toth all of Fond du Lac; one son, Robert (Karen) Kraus of Eldorado; 17 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Mary Ernst of Campbellsport. She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Joseph; and one sister, Agnes. Services: A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph Church, with the Rev. Jerome Wagner officiating. Entombment will be at the Chapel of the Risen Christ Mausoleum. Visitation: Visitation will be at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the services. Memorials should be directed towards the American Lung Association.

Margaret Luehring
Margaret Luehring, 98, of N8050 County Trunk AY, Mayville, died Sunday, July 30, 2000, at Mayville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born Feb. 25, 1902, in the Township of Herman, the daughter of the late August and Johanna Borchart Seefeldt. On Sept. 25, 1942, she married William Luehring in the Township of Herman. Margaret was employed as a primary grade school teacher. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church (River Church) in the Township of Theresa, a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church Choir and Immanuel Lutheran Church Ladies Aid. Survivors include two children, Janet (Harley) Reabe of Green Lake and Warren (Sharon) Luehring of Madison; one step-son, Paul (Charlotte) Luehring of Beaver Falls, Penn.; one brother, Gerhard (Anna) Seefeldt of Hartford; three sisters-in-law, Flora Seefeldt of Grafton, Eleanor Seefeldt of Waukesha, and Paula Seefeldt of Sun Prairie; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild; several step-grandchildren; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; three sisters; and four brothers. Services: Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Friday at Immanuel Lutheran Church (River Church) in the Township of Theresa. The Rev. Eldor J. Harmann will officiate. Burial will be at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery, Township of Theresa. Visitation: Visitation will be at the church from 2 p.m. Friday until the time of the services. Jose Reyes
Jose Reyes, 60, of N4008 County Trunk E/AS, Markesan, died Saturday, July 29, 2000, at Waupun Memorial Hospital. He was born Sept. 15, 1939, in Weslaco, Texas, a son of Pedro and Benita Vargas Reyes. He received his education in Weslaco. Jose lived in Wisconsin the past 45 years, and most of the time worked for Kelly-Albert Produce of Markesan, but this past year he worked at Glen Oak Lumber and Milling Inc. in Montello. On Nov. 16, 1957, he married Jean Dummer in Waupun. Survivors include his wife, Jean Reyes; his mother, Benita Reyes; five daughters, Sue A. Snyder (Brent) of Markesan, Rosemary A. Pollock (Russel) of Brandon, Jean M. Kirst (Rusty) of Markesan, Julie A. Holmes (Jon) of Waukesha and Judy A. Holmes of San Jose, Calif.; three sons, Jim J. Reyes of Kaukauna, Joe J. Reyes (Sue) of Livermore, Calif., and Richard J. Reyes (Megan) of Remington, Ind.; 23 grandchildren, Adam, Jason, Crystal, Adrian, Braydon, Brittny, Kaleb, Sierra, Blaize, Josh, Cory, Craig, Tim, Terry, Tammy, Chad, Sammi Jo, Casandra, Matt, Ryan, Steven, Shane and Adriana; and one great-grandchild, Indigo. He is further survived by two sisters, Nacha Lopez (Ramon) of Weslaco and Elvira Marr of Flint, Mich.; three brothers, Pete Reyes (Mini Pearl) of Baldknob, Ark., Ben Reyes of Arkansas and Don Reyes (Darlene) of Fox Lake; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father; a son, John Reyes; and two brothers, Roy and Felix Reyes. Services: Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, at Zion Lutheran Church in Fairwater, with the Rev. Tom Meyer officiating. Interment icon will be at St. Patrick Catholic Cemetery, Town of Ripon. Visitation: From 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, Ripon, and again at the church from noon Thursday until the time of the service. A memorial has been established. Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Richard H. Wolf
Richard H. Wolf, 46, of 68 Harrison Place, Fond du Lac, formerly of 125 Rose Ave., died Sunday, July 30, 2000. He was born Nov. 21, 1953 in Milwaukee, a son of Wilton H. and Dorothy A. Stoy Wolf. He was stationed in Germany with the U.S. Army from 1971 until 1974. On July 2, 1977, he married Cindy Sippel. Richard worked at several factories throughout the Fond du Lac area and was self-employed as a painter and handyman. He is survived by his wife, Cindy; six sisters and two brothers, Mary Ann (Frank Jr.) Howe of Fond du Lac, Linda Jo (Jack) Maurice of Fond du Lac, Beverly (Daniel) Bennett of Fond du Lac, Patricia (Ron) Schultz of Green Bay, Sandra Lee (William) Rolbiecki of North Kenai, Alaska, Betty Jean Apodaca of Las Vegas, Nev., James (Beth) Wolf of Fond du Lac, Jeffrey Wolf and special friend Dawn Cosby of Fond du Lac; many nieces and nephews; and a special family friend, Betty Coffey. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Allen; a brother, Michael; and several nieces and nephews. Services: A memorial service will take place at 11 a.m. Thursday at Mach Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. David Redman officiating. Inurnment will be at Estabrooks Cemetery. Visitation: Visitation will be at the funeral chapel from 10 a.m. Thursday to time of the memorial service. Mach Funeral Chapel is serving the family.

Charlotte J. Zabrowski
Charlotte J. Zabrowski, 71, was born to eternal life on Tuesday, July 25, 2000. She was born Dec. 17, 1928. Charlotte was an active member of the H.C.E. West Shore Swingers Club, did volunteer work at the Thrift Store in Ripon and belonged to the Birthday Club. Survivors include two sons, Michael (Lowrie) and Mark Zabrowski; her four grandchildren, Zeke, Sophi, Anna and Raymond; her brothers, Edward (Delphine), Gilbert, Richard (Dorothy); a sister, Lorraine (Edward); her mother-in-law, Angeline Zabrowski; a brother-in-law, John (Jean) Zabrowski; and numerous loving nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Lennard T. Zabrowski; her sister, Jane; her mother, Josephine; and father, Edwin Wenzel. She will be sadly missed by her many friends and her family. Services: A memorial service will be held at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Princeton. Private interment will be held. Heritage Funeral Home, Milwaukee, is serving the family.

Norbert Marvin Bethke
Norbert Marvin Bethke, 83, formerly of 576 Emma St., Fond du Lac, died Sunday, July 30, 2000, at All About Life Rehabilita-tion Center. He was born the son of August H. and Ella W. Weber Bethke on July 22, 1917, in the Township of Shields, Marquette County. Norbert served in the United States Army with the 4078th Ordinance from Jan. 8, 1942, until Nov. 25, 1945. He married Leona Laura Fietz on June 26, 1943, in Los Angeles, Calif. She preceded him in death in 1970. He then married Veronica Winther in August of 1978. Norbert was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church. He enjoyed working with cars and small engines and playing cards. He is survived by three children, Gene (Eileen) Bethke of Fond du Lac, Roger (Joanna) Bethke of Fond du Lac, and LuAnn (Gary) Roberts of Fond du Lac; seven grandchildren, Tracy and James Bethke, Laura and Jesse Bethke, Amy, Zeb, and Rachel Roberts; his wife, Veronica; two sisters and a brother, Erna Dobberke of Ripon, Elva (Melvin) Schultz of Ripon, and Ardwin (Caroline) Bethke of Ripon; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant sister, Mabel Bethke in 1913; and a brother-in-law, Gordon Dobberke. Services: Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 1, at Redeemer Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Fred Toppe officiating. Burial will be at the Garden of the Cross Cemetery, Ripon. Visitation: Visitation will be from 4:30 until 8 p.m. Monday at Mach Funeral Chapel and at the church from 9 a.m. Tuesday until the time of the services. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Winnebago Lutheran Academy. Mach Funeral Chapel is serving the family.

Dorothy M. Ericksen
Dorothy M. Ericksen, 85, of 554 S. Park Ave., died Friday, July 28, 2000, at All About Life Rehabilitation Center, where she had been a resident for the past week. She was born July 22, 1915, in Sturgeon Bay, a daughter of Walter and Catherine Hoerres. Dorothy married Benjamin G. Ericksen in Fond du Lac, and he preceded her in death on Jan. 31, 1990. Mrs. Ericksen attended Holy Guardian Angels School, now St. Joseph's School, in Sturgeon Bay, and graduated from Sturgeon Bay High School. Dorothy was formerly employed by St. Agnes Hospital, and the Glove Factory and Christy Shipyard in Sturgeon Bay. She was a member of St. Joseph's Church. Survivors include two sisters, Ethel Gottfried of Green Bay and Adeline Warwick of Sturgeon Bay. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband on Jan. 31, 1990; two brothers, Arthur and George Hoerres; and one sister, Grace Rader. Services: Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. The Rev. Dennis Budka will officiate. Burial will be at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Sturgeon Bay. Visitation: Visitation will be at the church from 9 a.m. until the time of the services. Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is serving the family.

Robert W. Graf Sr.
Robert W. Graf Sr., 79, of Kiel, died Friday, July 28, 2000, at Theda Clark Medical Center, where he was a patient after falling on July 1. He was born July 27, 1921, in Kiel, the son of the late Albert and Emma Klauck Graf. Bob attended Kiel schools. During World War II, he was a member of the U.S. Army, stationed in New Guinea and the Philippines. On Jan. 20, 1951, he married the former Elaine C. Eichmann in Sheboygan, and she preceded him in death on April 15, 1991. Bob was a foreman for many years at the AA Laun furniture Co. From 1972 until his retirement in 1993 he owned and operated Commercial Hotel in Kiel. He was a former member of the Kiel Redmen and was a member of the Kiel VFW Post. Bob was an avid baseball fan, and also enjoyed spending time with his friends and patrons. Bob is survived by two sons, William and Wanda Graf of Wisconsin Dells, and Robert Jr. and Elaine Graf of Fond du Lac; and a grandson, Christopher. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Denny and Harvey. Services: Funeral services will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 1, at Meiselwitz-Vollstedt Funeral Home, 815 6th St., Kiel, with the Rev. Raymond C. Coombs officiating. Burial will be at Sheboygan Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation: Visitation will be at the funeral home from 4 p.m. Tuesday until the time of services. A memorial fund has been established in his name.

Janet G. Hengeveld
Janet G. Hengeveld, 91, of 110 Harris Court, Waupun, died Sunday, July 30, 2000, at Christian Home, Waupun. She was born July 24, 1909, in the Town of Alto, the daughter of Allen and Jane Redeker DeMotts. On Feb. 18, 1931, she married Raymond Peters at the Alto Reformed Church. He preceded her in death in March of 1944. She then married John Hengeveld on June 7, 1961, at the First Reformed Church of Waupun. He also preceded her in death. Janet was a lifelong area resident. She was formerly employed with Hopps Family Restaurant for 20 years as a cook and at Christian Home as a cook as well. Janet was a member of the First Reformed Church of Waupun, where she taught Sunday school for several years and was also involved with several other societies of the church. Janet loved to play her organ and enjoyed gardening as well. Survivors include one son, Kenneth (Sharon) Peters of Brandon; five grandchildren, Jeff Peters, Chris (Lisa) Peters and Michele (Jeff) Blank, all of Brandon, Steven Peters of Delevan and Kimberly Peters of Beaver Dam; four great-grandchildren; a daughter-in-law, Bettie Peters of Beaver Dam; a sister-in-law, Marion DeMotts of Waupun; several nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Dale Peters and an infant; a brother; and a nephew. Services: Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 2, at First Reformed Church of Waupun with Rick Boon officiating. Burial will be at Alto Cemetery, Town of Alto. Visitation: Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Kohls Community Funeral Home, Waupun, and again at the church on Wednesday from noon until the time of the services. Memorials may be made in her name to First Reformed Church, Waupun. Kohls Community Funeral Home, Waupun, is serving the family.

Robert E. Kuehn
Robert E. Kuehn, 72, of 4944 Highway 150, Larsen, died Saturday, July 29, 2000, at his home. He was born Aug. 25, 1927, in Ripon, the son of Fred W. and Mary J. (Hallman) Kuehn. Robert married Sandra Julius on Nov. 6, 1965. He was a ceramic tile setter in the area until his retirement. Mr. Kuehn enjoyed hunting, fishing, and riding motorcycles. Robert was an accomplished carpenter and handyman. He was a member of the mason's union, the National Rifle Association, and a former member of Wisconsin Bowhunters. Mr. Kuehn served with the United States Navy from 1944 to 1951. Survivors include his wife, Sandra; two sons and daughters-in-law, Robert W. (Cheryl) Kuehn of Fullerton, Calif., and James P. (Charlotte) Kuehn of Eldorado; two grandchildren, Aaron and Carrie Kuehn; a brother, Arthur (Marion) Kuehn of Ripon; his step-mother, Sylvia Kuehn of Ripon; and several aunts and cousins. Mr. Kuehn was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Luella Prelwitz. Services: Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 2, at Kessler Funeral Home, 304 S. Commercial St., Neenah. Visitation: Visitation will be at the funeral home from 10 a.m. Wednesday until the time of the services. A memorial has been established for hospice. Mr. Kuehn's family wishes to thank Dr. Anthony Phillips, his staff and Theda Care at home for their loving care and concern.

Darlene M. 'Dode' Mielke
Darlene M. "Dode" Mielke, 72, of 107 N. Peters Ave., Fond du Lac, passed to eternal life at 4 p.m. Saturday, July 29, 2000, at All About Life Rehabilitation Center, Fond du Lac. She was born Jan. 5, 1928, in the Town of Osceola, the daughter of Lawrence and Eola Polzean Bohlman. On March 25, 1944, she married Arthur "Doc" Mielke at Soldiers Home Chapel in Milwaukee. They resided in the Dundee/Waucousta area all their married life. She was also a lifelong member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Dundee. Survivors include her son, Art, with whom she lived; her daughter, Bev Neubert of Fond du Lac; her son, Cliff of Greenfield; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; her brother, Larry (Dorothy) Bohlman of Eden; her sisters, Vivian (Bob) Plummer of Fond du Lac, Joyce (Norb) Baumhardt of Eden, Jean (Dave) Rose of Eden and Barb Thelen of Campbellsport; nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends. Dode was preceded in death by her husband on June 11, 1992; a son, Donny; a grandson, Jeff; her parents; and a brother, Donald. Services: Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 1, at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Dundee. The Rev. Richard Schliewe will officiate and burial will follow in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation: Visitation will be at the church from noon Tuesday until the time of the services. Clement E. Stapleton
Dr. Clement E. Stapleton, 71, of Winter, Wis., died Friday, July 28, 2000, following a short illness. Clem was born July 9, 1929, in Kenosha, the son of Dr. Edward F. and Elizabeth Garvey Stapleton. He served as a paratrooper in the 11th Airborne Division from 1950 to 1953. Clem received a bachelor of science degree in business education from University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, followed by a master's degree in vocational education at University of Wisconsin-Stout and an Ed.D. in vocational education from the University of Minnesota. He spent over 30 years as vocational coordinator for La Crosse Public Schools, business division chairman at Moraine Park Technical College, Fond du Lac, and business chair/instructor at LCO Community College, Hayward. He was a member of the American Legion, Fond du Lac; Lions Club, Fond du Lac; the Benevolent Protective Order of Elks; American Association of Vocation Research; Wisconsin Association of School Administrators; and St. Peter's Parish in Winter. Clem is survived by his wife of 48 years, Natalie Gehri Stapleton; three sons, Steven (Linda) of Black River Falls, David (Sheryl) of La Crosse and Daniel (Heidi) of Oconomowoc; four grandchildren, Lisa, Karen, Jeffery and Jennifer; one brother, Eugene (Helen) of Waukesha; and one sister Eileen Von Rueden of Eagle. He was preceded in death by his parents; one infant son, Jeffery; two brothers, Floyd and Joseph, and two sisters, Marie and Katherine. Services: A Mass of Christian Burial was held 10 a.m. today at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Winter, with the Rev. Vincent Bromley officiating. Internment took place at the Wisconsin Veterans Cemetery in King with full military honors. Visitation: Was held from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Nash-Jackson funeral Home, Ladysmith.
