Aug 9 2004 Madeline Chloe Rogers Cottrill, 89, of Indore, WV, died August 6, 2004 at her home after a long illness. She was a member of the Lizemores Church of the Nazarene. She was preceded in death by husband, Granville E. and one son, John Lee, three brothers and three sisters. Surviving are her daughters; Kathleen June Osburn of Lizemores, and Avril Gay Maynor of Mt. Lookout, WV; sons, Larry of Lizemores, Maynard Pal of Wilmot, Ohio, Roger Dale of Indore, WV, and Richard Wayne of Petersburg, Virginia; 21 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, 6 great-great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews and a host of friends. Aug 9 2004 Flisty Williams, 94, of Bickmore, died Saturday, August 7, 2004, at Laurel Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Ivydale. She was born on May 6, 1910, in Clay County to the late Lauren and Tobetha Ramsey. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Homer, and son, Clarence. She was a homemaker, and a life long member of Bickmore Baptist Church. She is survived by her son, Roy J. Brown of Bickmore; daughters, Daisy Hertel of Rochester, NY, Sheila Mullins of Bickmore, and Nevada Osborne of Medina, OH; 17 grandchildren, several great- and great-great-grandchildren. July 29 2004 Samples, Maycle Marie entered into rest with the Lord on Wednesday,July 28, 2004 , at her home after a long illness. She was the daughter of the late Spencer G. and Elizabeth Jane Eagle. She was the wife of the late Eugene G. Samples of Procious, WV.She was the mother of eight children: Kenneth (Hook) Samples, deceased, Steve Samples of Pensacola FL,Garland Samples of Bickmore WV, Randy Samples of Wallback,WV , Thelma J. Rhodes of Clendenin WV, Rev. Wilma Dobbins of Montgomery, WV, Shelly Edwards of Procious WV, and Lisa Lewis of Clay WV. She is also survived by 20 grandchildren, 13 step- grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, 20 step-great-grandchildren and 2 step-great-great grandchildren. All of whom she was affectionately known as “Big Grandma”. Survivors also include 2 sisters: Bertha Perry of Ohio, Cova Sears of Duck WV, 2 bothers Clyde Eagle of Kingman, AZ and Lawerence Eagle of Adonijah,WV. Maycle was a born-again Christian and attended Liberty Advent Christian Church, Procious WV. She was a devout and loving mother and taught Christ’s love by her living example. July 14 2004 Reba M. Legg, 81, of Indore, died Monday, July 12, 2004, at CAMC-Memorial Division. She was born on February 6, 1923, in Fola, WV, to the late Jesse and Della Fitzwater. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Charles G. Legg. She was a homemaker and a member of the Indore Baptist Church since 1958. Survivors include her brother, Kenneth Fitzwater of Indore; sisters, Madeline Bell of Clay, and Freda Maxine Smith of Charleston and Wanda Morene Outten and husband, Allen, of Williamsburg, VA. July 10 2004 Hugh Hyer Boggs, Jr., 83, of Procious, entered into rest Saturday, July 10, 2004, at Laurel Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Ivydale, following a long illness with cancer. He was born at Wallback, WV, on October 13, 1920, oldest son of Hugh H. Boggs, Sr., and Carrie Boggs. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his first wife, Helen Mae Woodall on April 1, 1956 and his step-son, Robert “Wag” Allen Gandee on November 10, 1996. He was a graduate from Spencer High School in 1938, received an AB Degree from Glenville State College in 1947, and a Master’s Degree from Marshall University in 1958 in elementary education. He retired from teaching as an elementary teacher, principal, and bus transportation director with 50 years of service in Roane and Clay Counties. He was an Army veteran of World War II, having served in the Pacific Theater. He held life membership in the VFW Post 4419 in Clay, American Legion Post 21 of Spencer, and in WVEA. He had served in Headstart Programs, sports activities for the youth and was a member of Burke M.E. Church of Procious.
Surviving are his wife, Virginia Samples Gandee Boggs; son, Hugh III and wife, Barbara, of Great Falls, VA; daughter, Debra Anne Saunders and husband, John, of Leesburg, VA; brothers, Fred Boggs of Charleston and Gail Boggs of Toronto, OH; sisters, Jean Boggs of Ivydale, Janet Crisco of Charleston; grandchildren, Peter, Michael and Christin Boggs of Great Falls, VA, Laura Burhenn of Washington, DC; step-grandchildren, Rob Busser of McLean, VA, and Karmin Gandee Richmond, Tabitha Gandee and Troy Gandee, all of Princeton; step-great-grandchildren, Katy, David, Stephen and Jacob Busser of McLean, VA, Jenna Grace Gilmore and Tyler Richmond of Princeton, WV. July 4 2004 Oleva Grace Osborne, 86, of Bickmore, WV, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 3, 2004. She was a member of Ida Baptist Church of Bentree, WV, Ladies Auxiliary 4419, Clay Senior Citizens of Clay, WV, and was the former Golden Delicious Apple Bell. She was preceded in death by her husband Hershel Osborne and son Bobby Osborne. Grace is survived by sons, Charlie of Bickmore, WV, and Teddy of Procious, WV; daughters, Colene House of Bickmore, WV, Kay Graham of Lothian, MD, Laraine Payne of Clendenin, WV, and Judy Rowe of Clay, WV; and daughter-in-law, Sue Osborne of Goodyear, AZ. June 22 2004 Rose Louise Daniels, 90, of Albion, NY, died Saturday, June 19, 2004, following a long illness. She was born September 6, 1913, in West Virginia to the late Richard Gibson and Rosetta Humphrey Gibson. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Everett, in 1991, her grandson, Roy Daniels, Jr., and her great-granddaughter, MacKenzie Morton.
She had lived in the Albion area for most of her life. She attended Ashwood Wesleyan Church in Lyndonville. Suvivors include her children, Rosalee (Frank) Utarro of Rochester, Danny Daniels of Albion, Charles (Muriel) Daniels of Albion, Roy (Vera Mae) Daniels of Kent, Betty (Ernest) Loss of Albion, Raymont (Marie) Daniels of Waterport and Mary (Bobby) Mullins of Albion; her sisters, Martilla and Helen; 29 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and nieces, nephews, and cousins. June 18 2004 Mrs. Antoinette M. "Moose Bear" "Moose" Quarequio of St. Albans, died Wednesday, June 16, 2004. She was a housewife. Survivors include her husband, Dr. Frank Franchesco Quarequio of St. Albans; son,Daniel Anthony Quarequio of St. Albans; sister, Maria Fatigati of Italy; nephew, George Fatigati, niece, Ida Fatigati; and many cousins in Italy.
She was loved immensely by her husband and son, who are broken hearted, and by everyone from St.

He was a retired custodian from the Clay County Board of Education, and a member of Laurel Fork Missionary Baptist Church, Adonijah Road, Lizemores. He is survived by his daughters, Anita Rose Ferrebee, Leslie Ann White, and Jackie Ruth White, all of Clay; brothers, Darrell Arthur Keener and William Carl Johnson, both of Clay; sisters, Alice Marie White and Eva Faye Hanshaw, both of Clay, and Tootie Dulaney of Bentree; grandchildren, Jacob Ferrebee and Chelsea Ferrebee; two very special people, Tammy Marie Naylor and Chris Walls, who assisted in his care; several nieces, nephews, and friends who loved him very much.
