May 6 2003 Mrs. Dollie E. Lyons, 71, of Maysel went home with the angels to be with our Lord May 4, 2003, after a long illness. She was surrounded by her loving family who will miss her deeply.
Dollie was born November 10, 1932, at Sycamore Creek to James and Locie Osborne. Today she is in Heaven with her parents. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her sisters, Vernia Pritt, Reba Wyant, Beverly K. Wyant, and Mildred Brown; brother, Roscoe Gibson; and her step-father, Edward Wyant.
She was a homemaker, formerly a driver for Anwar Eye Clinic, and also drove people back and forth from doctor's appointments. She was always readily available if any one needed her assistance, and was known by most people in and around Clay County for her willingness to help others any way she could. Survivors include: Husand - Ronald Lyons, married 49 years Daughter and Son-in-law - Peggy and Billy Grose of Procious, Grandchildren - Billie Jo and Bill Baird of Barberton, OH, Billy Jr. and Judy L. Grose of Procious, Cindy and Pete Hess of Barberton, Mindy and Scott Eckberg of Barberton, and Misty and Josh Taylor of Bickmore; 11 Great-grandchildren, l great-great-grandaughter, Elexis Kulcsar; sisters, Sandy Samples of Wallback, Judith Coffrey of Sandford, NC, Brenda Summers of Kent, KY, and Madge Mullins of Bickmore; 24 nieces and nephews.

Master Sergeant USAF Ret., Alfred Carl Triplett,73, of Clay, passed away May 3, 2003, at his residence after an extended illness. He joined the Army Air Force in January, 1946, and served 26 active years and 4 years in the Reserves. He retired July 1, 1972, after serving in France, Germany, England, and Thailand. He was a veteran of WWII, Korean, and Vietnam Wars. He was the son of the late Lee "Poppy" Triplett and Lula Rose Triplett. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers and 4 sisters. She was born on December 19, 1917, in Dry Branch, WV, to the late John and Lucinda Carton. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Loring Stewart. She was a homemaker and a member of the Laurel Fork Missionary Baptist Church, Adonijah Road, Lizemores.

She was born on November 17, 1911, in Standard, WV, to the late James and Nettie Nelson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Sam Taylor and Johnny Osborne, son, Freddie Taylor, grandson, Michael Shane, and granddaughter, Christina Lynn. She was a homemaker, a loving mother and grandmother, and a friend to all who knew her. died Thursday, March 6, 2003, at Braxton County Memorial Hospital.
He was born on March 23, 1934, in Clay County to the late Everett and Prunie Young Hannah.
He is a retired timberman. Survivors include a brother, Jim Hannah of Duck; sisters, Jean Copeland of Duck, June Moore of Indore, and Emily Razor of Michigan.

Mr. Denver Lee Jeffers, 92, of Bickmore,
died Wednesday, February 26, 2003, at Blue Skies Elderly Care, Cannelton Hollow Road.
He was born in Fola on September 13, 1910, to the late Norman and Arie Jane Jeffers, also preceded in death by wife,Ina Mae Jeffers. He was a retired coal miner, and self-employed carpenter. He was also a deacon and member of the Fola Missionary Baptist Church for over 70 years. Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Mark Jeffers of Bickmore, Garrett and Lorena Jeffers of Massillon, Ohio, and Teddy and Charlotte Jeffers of Canton, Ohio; sisters, Mildred Holcomb of Bickmore, Dorothy Brown of Summersville, Alma Moore and Jane Bennett, both of Albion, NY; five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandson.
