Linda K. Knotts
Linda Kay Smith Knotts, 55, of Mineral Wells died Jan. 4, 2003, at Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital after a brief battle with cancer.
She was born March 31, 1947, at her grandmother's Edgelawn home in Parkersburg, a daughter of Olandus Coleman and Nannie Mae McCoy Smith of Macfarlan. She was a graduate of Harrisville High School, class of 1965, and the Parkersburg Beauty College. She married James Earl Knotts of Calhoun County on Nov. 12, 1965. She worked as a hairdresser in Parkersburg for several years, then as a homemaker who devoted her life to loving and caring for her family, friends, and many babies through the years, all of whom she showered with affection. Mrs. Knotts had a deep love for domestic and wild animals, feeding everyone's cats and dogs, as well as the birds, deer, squirrels, wild turkeys, raccoons and even skunks. She was an active member of the Pettyville United Methodist Church, serving in many leadership capacities and giving unselfishly of herself in Christian ministry to others.

Sally Jo (Stewart) Mullins, 55, of Cottageville, W.Va., died Jan. 3, 2003.
She was born Aug. 14, 1947, in Athens, a daughter of the late Joseph and Joan (Gandee) Stewart.
Lucille E. Queen
Lucille E. Queen, 64, of Parkersburg passed away Jan. 5, 2003, at Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital.
She was born Aug. 7, 1938, on Sam's Creek, W.Va., a daughter of the late Edward Young, stepfather Basil Lockhart and mother Ethel Barton Lockhart. She retired from the Bureau of Public Debt after 40 years of service, was a member of the Fresh Fire Ministry and had attended the Celebration Center.
Marjorie F. Brown
Marjorie Faye Brown, 60, of Parkersburg went to be with the Lord Jan. 3, 2002.
She was born March 5, 1942, in Parkersburg, a daughter of Lloyd and Mettie Marie Emrick Wigal. She was a homemaker and member of the Sarepta Baptist Church.
Aristotle Butler
Aristotle Butler Jr., 64, of Orma died Jan. 3, 2003, at his home.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Monday at Orma United Methodist Church, Orma, the Rev. David Weaver officiating. Interment will be in Orma Cemetery. Friends may call from 5-7 p.m. today at Stump Funeral Home, Arnoldsburg.
Leonard L. Frost
Leonard L. Frost, 60, of Guysville, Ohio, died Jan. 2, 2003, at Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital, Parkersburg.
He was born March 12, 1942, in Frost, Ohio. He is the son of Clarence and the late Leida Linton Frost. He was a lifetime member of the NRA, a member of the Bass Club and also an Air-Born of the Army.
Annette Johnson
Annette C. Johnson, 86, of McConnelsville, Ohio, died Jan. 3, 2003.
She is survived by one daughter, Pamela J. Workman and husband Michael of McConnelsville; two nieces; and two nephews.
Robert Lee Jones
Robert Lee Jones, 47, of Parkersburg died Dec. 31, 2002, at St. Joseph's Hospital after a brief illness.
He was born Nov. 13, 1955, in Charleston, a son of the late Darrell D. and Mary V. Jones. He lived most of his life in Parkersburg and had worked as a self-employed contractor in home remodeling. He was a former member of the 82nd Airborne. He was Methodist by faith and had dedicated his life to God.
C. Montgomery
Catherine Louise Pickens Montgomery, 87, of Little Hocking, Ohio, died Jan. 2, 2003, at the Willows Center, Parkersburg.
She was born Nov. 24, 1915, in Parkersburg, the daughter of the late William and Lena James Pickens. She worked for the Viscose Co. for 25 years. She was a longtime member of the Little Hocking United Methodist Church, where she taught Sunday School, and was a member of the United Methodist Women. She loved to garden, crochet and tole paint. She spent her entire life in the Little Hocking and Parkersburg area, with the exception of a period of time when she and her husband Carl worked in aircraft manufacturing in Akron, Ohio, during World War II. She lived by the Ten Commandments, wishing only to spread the word of Jesus Christ and to do good for others. She gave so much and asked nothing in return. She will be missed by all who knew her, but they will survive on the knowledge she is now with her Lord, to whom she was ever faithful.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Ravenswood.

Pamela K. Steele, 45, of Sistersville died Jan. 3, 2003, at Marietta Memorial Hospital.
She was born Oct. 1, 1957, in Sistersville, a daughter of Richard and Ellen Lucas Smythe. She was manager of the Wells Inn, Sistersville, member of the Oxford Street Church of Christ, Sistersville, a Sunday School teacher, member of the Sistersville Area Jaycees, chairman of A Child's Christmas and member of the Elks Lodge 333 for 24 years.

He was born in Parkersburg, a son of Clarence Wagoner of Parkersburg and Vivian Sue Mossor Sigley of Parkersburg.

She was born in Ritchie County, a daughter of Ernest and Mae Lamm Kern.
Randall Barnette
Randall W. "Randy" Barnette, 41, of Creston died Jan. 3, 2003, at his residence, after a battle with brain cancer.
He was a 1979 graduate of PSHS, and a 1995 honor graduate from Washington State Community College. He was a 10-year veteran police officer from Marietta Police Department, and was honorably discharged from the U.S. Air Force. He was born June 11, 1961, in Parkersburg, a son of Alan and Betty Barnette of Orlando, Fla. and Juanita and Tony Castanon of Coal City, W.Va.
