Harry L. Garretson, 77, of Hale Center, Texas, died July 5, 2002.
Survivors include one son, Jay Garretson and his wife, Leah of Lubbock, Texas; one daughter, Claudia West and her husband, Rick, of Hale Center; one sister, Virginia "Jinky" Duskey of St. Petersburg, Fla.; five grandchildren, Kale, Clay, Marci Garretson and Randall and Andrew West.
Harold L. Medley
Harold L. Medley, 84, of Belmont, W.Va., died July 8, 2002, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Parkersburg.
He was born April 10, 1918, in New Martinsville, W.Va., a son of the late Albert Leroy and Elva Hoskins Medley. He was member of the Akron Baptist Temple, he attended Romney School for the deaf, he worked for the Firestone Rubber Company in Akron for 35 years, and he enjoyed golf and baseball.

In addition to his wife, Carrie, he is survived by four children, Wilma (Odell) Fields of McKee, Ky., Larry (Nellie) Price of Manchester, Ky., Jane (Robert) Wiseman of Irvine, and Herman (Carlen) Price of Richmond, Ky.; one daughter-in-law, Helen Price of Irvine; 17 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Marcina Carolyn Spindler, 85, of Marietta died July 8, 2002, at the Arbors in Marietta.
Survivors include two daughters, Mary Ellen Huling, and Carolyn Corbett; and one son, Kenneth Spindler.
L.E. Buchanan
Lawrence E. "Buck" Buchanan, 76, of Parkersburg, passed away July 6, 2002 at the Willows Nursing Home.
He was born March 23, 1926 in Wirt County, a son of the late David C. and Anna Dowler Buchanan. He was a U. S. Army veteran and had taken part in the Manhatten Project that ended World War II. He had received his BA degree from Glenville State College in 1951. He had taught at Wirt County High School from 1951-1954, he worked for FMC for 16 years and he retired from Bonded Oil Emro Marketing after 12 years of service. He was a Protestant by faith and he loved to hunt and fish.
Alvy Hadley
Alvy Hadley, 92, of Middlebourne died July 6, 2002.
He is survived by three daughters, Kathleen Roberts of Middlebourne, Edna Mills of East Liverpool, Ohio, and Norma Jean Sowers of Washington, Pa.; one sister, Zelma Watson of Middlebourne; 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

SALEM - Mabel V. Hill, 93, of Parkersburg, formerly of the Big Flint area, died at 7:55 p.m. Friday, July 5, 2002, at a private home in Vienna, W.Va., following an extended illness.
She was born Oct. 30, 1908, in Big Flint, a daughter of the late Selathia and Orpha Underwood Gain. Her husband, Wayne Hill, died in 1973.

She was born in Belfont, Braxton County, a daughter of the late James and Oma Carr. She was a former employee of the Wilmar cafeteria and Blennerhassett Hotel and was Baptist by faith.

Ralph L. "Cannon" Golden, 60, of Mineral Wells, passed away July 5, 2002 at Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital.
He was born June 25, 1942, a son of the late Aubrey L. and Pearl Maxwell Golden. He was a truck driver and the Co-Founder of Helping Hands C.B. Club and he was a member of the Moose Lodge 1118.

Woodrow E. Hall, 88, of Millstone died July 7, 2002, in Grafton General Hospital, Grafton, W.Va.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Stump Funeral Home in Arnoldsburg. Interment will be in the Sand Ridge Cemetery with military graveside rites being provided by American Legion Post 21 of Spencer. Friends may call at the funeral home from 10 a.m. Friday until the hour of services.
