MARIETTA - Edwin Earl Schramm, 90, of Marietta died May 29, 2003.
He was active in musical groups and was a choir director in local church choirs.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Mary Lou Klinger Schramm; daughters, Martha Seevers and Sandra Bateman of Marietta; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Gilman United Methodist Church. Visitation from noon today until noon Sunday at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home. The family will greet friends from 7-9 p.m. today.

MARIETTA - Max W. Arnold, 87, of Front Street, Marietta, died May 29, 2003. He was from Newark, Ohio, and resided in Marietta for about a year.
He is survived by a half-sister, Ruth Woods of Oklahoma; and a sister-in-law, Ruth McNutt of Marietta.

EVANSVILLE, Ind. - Ruth "Ann" Borman, 39, of Evansville, Ind., passed away Wednesday, April 23, 2003, at St. Mary's Medical Center in Evansville following a long illness.
She was active at Deaconess Hospital Auxiliary working in the gift shop. She was of the Methodist faith.
Silvia P. Higgins
WAVERLY - Silvia Pearl "June" Higgins, 87, of Waverly died May 29, 2003, at St. Joseph's Hospital. She was born April 2, 1916, in Tucker County, W.Va., a daughter of the late Maggie Mullenix and John W. Jones. She was a member of the Waverly United Methodist Church. She attended many functions at the Pleasants County Senior Citizens Center. She enjoyed playing cards, camping and going to Blue Grass Festival with her close friends.
She is survived by one son, James Ralph Higgins and wife, Joan, of St. Marys; one granddaughter, Diana Lynn Hudkins and her husband, Jim, of Parkersburg; one sister, Ova Apanowicz of Oak Hill, W.Va.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, James W. Higgins, nine brothers and two sisters.
Services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday at Waverly United Methodist Church, Waverly, with Rev. Earl Perkins officiating. Burial will be in Willow Island Cemetery, Willow Island, W.Va. Calling hours are from 2-9 p.m. today at Ingram Funeral Home and from noon-1 p.m. Saturday at the church.

Eleanor B. Johnson
VIENNA - On May 31, 2003, Eleanor Delores Bower Johnson, 83, departed this Earthly life peacefully at home.
Born Nov. 4, 1919, in Big Bend, she was the third youngest of nine children born to William Warder and Bessie L. Riggs Bower. Eleanor was a 1940 graduate of Calhoun County High School in Grantsville. She was employed by Glenn L. Martin Aircraft in Baltimore, Md., prior to her 1943 marriage to Morford Johnson of Calhoun County. They would have celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary July 29. She has resided in Vienna since 1950.

Danny P. Woofter
SOUTH CHARLESTON, W.Va. - Danny P. Woofter, 54, of South Charleston died May 28, 2003, after a short illness. He was born Sept. 18, 1948, in Weston.
He was a member of First Baptist Church of South Charleston; VFW Post 8129 Charleston; American Legion Post 4 Weston; South Charleston Lion's Club (Melvin Jones Fellow); United States Amateur Ballroom Dancers Association; National Auctioneers Association; and Charleston Moose Lodge 1444. He was a past member of Jaycees; a past state commander of West Virginia Veterans of Foreign Wars; and a former South Charleston councilman. He was also a lifetime member of Mental Health Association; the National Rifle Association; and the Moose fraternity. He served his country in Vietnam and continued veteran advocacy by supporting and recruiting for the VFW. He owned his own auctioneer, realtor and promotional products business, DANSCO. He also served the community through donating his time at charity auctions for The Mental Health Association, March of Dimes, various schools and several project graduations.

Survivors include his wife, Opal M. Shepherd Billiter; a daughter, Tracy Goddard and her husband, Rex; one grandson, Ryan A. Goddard; a brother, Bill Billiter; and two sisters, Marlene Bonner and Connie Bailey.

ALBEMARLE, N.C. - Shelby Kenny, 57, of Albemarle died May 27, 2003, at Stanly Memorial Hospital in North Carolina.
She was born in Wood County, a daughter of the late Harry A. and Mildred Cunningham. She worked for Collins and Aikeman in the automotive textile industry.
Kendall R. Kidd
PARKERSBURG - Kendall R. Kidd, 73, of Division Street Extension, Parkersburg, died May 28, 2003, at his residence.
He was born Aug. 10, 1929, in Parkersburg, a son of the late Graham B. and Cora Cox Kidd. He retired from Corning Glass in 1991 after 32 years of service with perfect attendance. He was a graduate of Parkersburg High School, was an avid sports fan and loved to attend the local high school sporting events. He was a U.S. Army veteran serving from 1947-1952.
William Moore
PARKERSBURG - William "Bill" Moore, 95, of Parkersburg died May 27, 2003, at the Inn at Marietta. He was born in Pittsburgh, Pa., a son of the late Clarence W. and Bertie Anna Cox Moore.
He retired in 1973 from the B&O Railroad and then sold real estate for William Howells Realty. He was a member of Vienna Baptist Church, Mt. Olivet Masonic Lodge 3 and the Parkersburg Coin Club.

CHLOE - Roy D. "Buddy" Murphy, 62, of Chloe died May 26, 2003, at his home.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday at the Nebo Baptist Church with the Rev. Dewey Tanner officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. today at Stump Funeral Home, Arnoldsburg.

WESTON - Patricia Anne "Peck" Robison, 74, of Weston died May 24, 2003.
Survivors include one daughter and husband, Mary and Robert Fultineer; one son and wife, Ralph and Patricia Ann Robison; five grandchildren, Robert Fultineer, Kimberly Derico, Leslie Perine, Elizabeth Poe, and Michael Robison; five great-grandchildren; one half-brother, Robert Stump; and Gary Pratt.
Daris N. Boggs
BELPRE - Daris N. Boggs, 82, died May 24, 2003, at St. Joseph's Hospital, Parkersburg.
He was born Dec. 20, 1920, in Tariff, W.Va., a son of the late Howard and Ruby Sheppard Boggs.
He was a Navy veteran and served in World War II. He was a member of the Little Hocking Methodist Church. He worked as a carpenter for Schneider Construction Co., Parkersburg, for 36 years, retiring in 1982. He was a member of Carpenter Union 889 for 56 years. He was a devoted husband and father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Meryl Sinnett Boggs; one daughter, Sharon (David) Lamb of New Albany, Ohio; two sons, John (Jan) of Indianapolis, Ind. and Paul, Vienna; one sister, Jan Starcher, St. Albans; and brother, Harlen (Betty) Boggs of Charlotte, N.C.; 14 grandchildren, Mike (Judy) Lamb, Michelle (Tony) Messer, Melita (Tim) Risdon, Matt (Amber) Lamb, John (Julia) Boggs, Jeff Boggs, Jill (Matt) Doering, Joe Boggs, Jim Boggs, Jenny Boggs, Jake Boggs, Julie Boggs, Chris Boggs, Andy Boggs; and 10 great-grandchildren, Anna, Emmy Lamb, Sarah, Nathan Messer, Alli, Jenna, Ryan Boggs, Cassie, Rebecca, and Kyle Doering.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Mack Boggs of Spencer.
Services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday at Leavitt Funeral Home, Belpre. Visitation is from 5-8 p.m. Friday and from 12:30-1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Burial in the Rockland Cemetery.
