Ruth Mickel Sarle, 73, died in Columbus, Ohio, on Thursday, Oct. 7, 2004, of cancer.
She was born Aug. 1, 1931, in Parkersburg, to Mina and Evart Mickel. She was a graduate of Parkersburg High School, received a B.S. degree from West Virginia Wesleyan College in 1953 and a master's degree from Indiana University. She went to the Columbus, Ohio, area as assistant dean of women for Capital University. She retired from her position as educational consultant (state supervisor) for the Ohio Department of Education in the Consumer-Homemaking section in 1992.

Dorothy E. Zinn, 81, of Pennsboro departed this life on Friday, Oct. 8, 2004, at Belmont.
Dorothy was born May 12, 1923, at Tollgate, W.Va., to the late George and Margaretta Stuart Hardman. She had worked at Pennsboro Manufacturing in the garment industry, was a graduate of Pennsboro High School with the class of 1943 and was a member of the Church of Christ at Pennsboro.

He was born Oct. 2, 1933, in Whipple, Ohio, a son of Millard L. and Margaret McAdoo Douthitt. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving from 1952-1956 during the Korean conflict and a long-time member of American Legion Post 64 in Marietta.

He was born July 14, 1923, in Vaughn, Clay County, a son of the late Roy Clyde and Ella (Bennett) Morton. He was also preceded in death by his stepmother, Ethel (Rogers) Morton; and a sister, Dayle Marie Burrows.
