Paul H. Taylor
Paul H. Taylor, 81, of Arthurdale, W.Va., died Friday, Feb. 4, 2005, at Ruby Memorial Hospital.
He was born May 2, 1923, in Clarksburg, W.Va., a son of the late Paul and Frances Perry Taylor. Paul began his career as a medical technologist at the Preston Memorial Hospital in Kingwood, and later worked at the Monongalia General Hospital. His career then bought him to West Virginia University in 1962, where he was employed until 1974. Finally, his profession carried him to WVU-Parkersburg as head of Allied Health and Nursing from 1975 until his retirement in 1986, after which he was awarded the title of professor emeritus by the University. He was Presbyterian by faith.

Edith M. West, 90, of Belpre died Feb. 4, 2005, at her residence.
She was born Aug. 17, 1914, in Braxton County, W.Va., a daughter of the late Ithmer C. and Lucy G. Sheifer Horner. She retired from Corning Glass Works after 25 years of service and was a member of Grace Gospel Church in Pettyville.

She was born April 25, 1925, in Wirt County, a daughter of the late Ira Sidney and Nina Hall.
Francis Camp
Francis Sterling Camp, 81, of Coolville, Ohio, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, Feb. 2, 2005 at Arcadia Nursing Center, Coolville.
He was born June 27, 1923, in New England, W.Va., son of the late Ira and Loa Mae Kinney Camp. He worked in carpentry and maintenance most of his life and along with other members, he helped to build the Hockingport Christian Center where he was an active member.

Charles Richard Corbitt, 70, of Palestine, W.Va., passed away Wednesday, Feb. 2, 2005, at St. Joseph's Hospital. He had survived two by-pass surgeries and a heart attack, but succumed to Pulmonary Fibrosis.

Ilene D. Hall, 77, of Middleport, passed away on Feb. 2, 2005, at St. Joseph's Hospital, Parkersburg.
She was born Feb. 10, 1927, in Sharon, W.Va., daughter of the late Walter B. and Dollie Glover Fetty. She was employed by Holzer Medical Center and retired in 1991. She was a volunteer at the former Veterans Memorial Hospital in Pomeroy. She was a member of the Middleport First Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Frederick and Victoria Southgate Howlett of Ipswich, England.

Gilbert Eugene Bryan, 63, of Vienna passed away Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2005, at Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital.
Gilbert was born June 11, 1941, in Marietta. He was a member of South Parkersburg Jehovah's Witnesses and worked for many years at Iddings Trucking in Lowell, Ohio, as a truck driver.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Hadley Funeral Home, Reno Chapel, with visitation from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday.

She was born July 22, 1923, in Wood County, a daughter of the late Benjamin and Bertha Radcliff Hull. She was a 1941 graduate of Parkersburg High School; a World War II Navy veteran; she formerly worked at Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital and St. Joseph's Hospital as a nursing assistant; and she worked at Dils Department Store as a sales clerk. She was a member of the Liberty Street Church of God where she sang in the choir and was a member of the VFW Blennerhassett Post 1212 of Parkersburg.

She was born March 21, 1930, in Wood County, a daughter of the late Thomas and Ruby Deem Allman. Mamie was a homemaker and was Baptist by faith.
