Ralph W. Enoch
Ralph Wilmer "Elby" Enoch, 86, of Parkersburg traveled home to be with the Lord on Jan. 30, 2005, at Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital. While on this earth, many lives were touched by his passion and love for life.
Elby was born July 30, 1918, in Parkersburg, a son of the late Clarence Elbert and Elsie Roberts Enoch. In his 86 years, he enjoyed life to the fullest sharing it with his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and many beloved friends. He touched everyone's soul in his own special way. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and received four medals for meritorious service. He was retired from Johns Manville with 34 years of service. He was a member of the American Legion Post 15, Veterans of Foreign Wars and Senior Men's Golf League at Worthington Golf Course and was a member of First Christian Church. Elby was a Big Red football player and a huge fan. He loved to dance, fish, hunt, golf and spend time on the river.

Gene E. Higgins of Memphis, Tenn., formerly of Parkersburg, died Saturday, Jan. 29, 2005, at the Methodist North Hospital in Memphis.
He was born June 9, 1928, to the late D. Paul and Muriel Bailey Higgins.

Alice Ella Pyles Cole, 85, of Marietta passed away Saturday, Jan. 29, 2005.
Alice was born Feb. 9, 1919, in Charleston, W.Va., to the late Don M. and Grace L. Pyles. She was a graduate of Charleston High School and Charleston Business School. After retiring from retail sales, she moved to Williamstown and later to Marietta to be close to family. She was an avid West Virginia football fan, enjoying gardening, cooking and spending time with family.

Eva M. Leeth
Eva Mae Clark Ashcraft Leeth, 76, of Coolville, Ohio, passed away quietly early Sunday morning, Jan. 30, 2005, at Arcadia Nursing Center, Coolville.
Eva Mae was born Feb. 7, 1928, in Coolville, the fourth child born to Minnie Welling and Marus Clark. She attended Carthage-Troy School in Coolville and was retired from Super X Drugs after 20 years as a sales clerk. Before that, she was employed as a cook for Rome-Canaan School System. Eva Mae was a member of Vanderhoof Baptist Church, enjoyed bowling in her earlier years and loved to play bingo.

Judi Ann (Simonton) Nageleisen, 39, formerly of Parkersburg, went home to be with her Lord on Jan. 28, 2005, at Cincinnati's Jewish Hospital after an extended illness.
She was born Jan. 5, 1966, in Parkersburg, the daughter of William D. and Marian L. (Hitchcock) Simonton. She graduated from Parkersburg High School and later moved to Hamilton, Ohio.

Jeannette Rose Parks, 76, of Marietta, died Jan. 30, 2005, at Marietta Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Marietta Chapel of Cawley & Peoples Funeral Home. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. today and anytime Tuesday at the funeral home. The family will be present from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday.

Scott W. Campbell
Scott W. Campbell, 91, of Davisville died Jan. 29, 2005, at Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital.
He was born March 31, 1913, in Huntington, W.Va., a son of the late Raymond Guy and Samantha Elizabeth Stapleton Campbell. He retired from Walker Systems Inc. and served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a member of the DAV, Amvets, Eagles, VFW and the American Legion.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Furbee Funeral Home, Middlebourne, with visitation from 6-8 p.m. today. Interment will be in Simpson Cemetery, Middlebourne.

Mary Jackson Rasel, 77, of Parkersburg passed away Jan. 29, 2005, at the Marietta Nursing and Rehab Center.
She was born Feb. 6, 1927, in Wood County, a daughter of the late James M. and Edna Mellinger Jackson. She was a graduate of Parkersburg High School. She had worked at Corning Glass, Sears, Hallmark and as a real estate agent. She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church; had served as a former YWCA Board member; and served as a volunteer for the March of Dimes and the American Cancer Society. She was an avid gardener and a true lover of all of nature.

Clara E. Dowler, 81, of Parkersburg died Thursday, Jan. 27, 2005, at Eagle Pointe.
She was born in Wood County, a daughter of the late John E. and Georgia Reeder Houck. She was a homemaker and a member of the Amiable Homemakers Club in Parkersburg.

Alan Kenneth Lindamood, 54, of Westover, W.Va., formerly of Grafton Road, Morgantown, W.Va., died Friday, Jan. 28, 2005, at Monongalia General Hospital, following a brief illness.
Bernard L. Powell
Bernard Lee Powell Sr., 61, of Fort Worth, Texas, lost his life after a short battle with cancer on Jan. 31, 2004.
Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Marilyn; a daughter, Angela Faulkenberry; a son and daughter-in-law, Bernie Jr. and Sandie; a grandson, Lee Faulkenberry and granddaughter, Kayla Faulkenberry, and their father, David Faulkenberry; twin granddaughters, Megan and Morgan Powell and their sister, Summer Morrow; mother-in-law, Donie Montgomery; brothers, Eddie W. Powell and wife, Janice, of Danville, Va., Jay A. Powell of Vienna; sisters, Norma Corbitt of Fort Worth, Diana Powell of West Virginia, Brenda Lockhart of Vienna and Tammy Powell of Austin, Texas; numerous nieces and nephews; and countless dear friends. He will be dearly missed by his dogs, Chester, Cindy and Hannah.
