Angels took Casey Carma Owens, two months and 15 days old, to be with the Lord on Feb. 27, 2005, from her residence in Parkersburg.
She was born Dec. 12, 2004, at Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital. She was the daughter of Clint Owens and Elana Yannotti. She was a very special girl that touched the hearts of many and blessed everyone around her.

John Albert "Buddy" Ross, 62, of Harrisville died Feb. 28, 2005, at Selby General Hospital, Marietta.
Dorothy M. Stump
Dorothy May "Dottie" Quillen Stump, 81, of Thonotosassa, Fla., formerly of Veto, Ohio, died Feb. 27, 2005, at the University Community Hospital of Tampa, Fla.
She was born Sept. 2, 1923, the daughter of the late Mont and Florence May Dugan Quillen. She was a beautician and worked with her mother in one of Washington County's first beauty salons. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star of Belpre for more than 50 years and had been active with the Veto Presbyterian Church, where she had served as an elder and sang in the choir. In Florida, she was active with the Thonotosassa United Methodist Church, where a memorial service will be held for her 2 p.m. March 19.
Richard Black
Richard Black, 81, of Vienna passed away Feb. 26, 2005, at the Eagle Pointe Nursing Facility, with his family by his side.
He was born April 25, 1923, in Parkersburg, the son of the late Charles W. and Florence Lacey Black. He was a graduate of Parkersburg High School and was a World War II veteran, having served in the U.S. Army from 1943 to 1946 and the U.S. Air Force from 1949 to 1952. He had worked for Coca-Cola of Parkersburg and was retired from Continental Can Co. of Midland, Mich., was a member of the American Legion for over 50 years and was a member of the Vienna Baptist Church.
Raymond H. Boatright
Raymond Hildreth Boatright, 79, of Belpre died Feb. 26, 2005, at Marietta Memorial Hospital.
He was born April 8, 1925, in Calhoun County, W.Va., a son of the late Ernest Boatright and Orva Kimble Boatright Schoolcraft. He was a U.S. Army veteran, a maintenance worker at American Power and attended the United Methodist Church in Cutler, Ohio.

Chancy Cecil Eaton, 92, of Belleville, W.Va., died Monday, Feb. 28, 2005, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Parkersburg.
Garnett M. Kerns
Garnett M. "Dudy" Kerns, 79, of Parkersburg died Feb. 27, 2005, at Worthington Manor Care Center.
She was born Aug. 22, 1925, in Clarksburg, W.Va., a daughter of the late Harry and Pearl Cork Mitchell. Mrs. Kerns was a retired secretary for local insurance agencies and had previously worked as a secretary for Joe Joseph's Theater Circuit. She was a member of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, Parkersburg.

Thomas Walter Hickman, 89, of Leroy, W.Va., passed away Sunday, Feb. 27, 2005, at St. Joseph's Hospital.
Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Matheny Pomroy Funeral Home, Elizabeth. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday and prior to services Wednesday at the funeral home.

Ivan Shockey of Parkersburg passed away Feb. 27, 2005, after an extended illness.
He was born Aug. 11, 1935, in Ravenswood, the son of the late H. Gordon and Maudie Shockey.
Cecil F. Sturm
Cecil F. Sturm, 90, of Arnoldsburg, W.Va., passed away Feb. 26, 2005.
Born in Calhoun County, he was a son of the late Roy and Florence Ferrell Sturm. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, having served in the Pacific Theater and was awarded the Purple Heart and Bronze Star. He was retired from Spencer State Hospital.

Thomas Allan Waggoner, 23, of Spencer died Feb. 26, 2005, from injuries sustained in an auto accident near Arnoldsburg, W.Va.
His body will be cremated and there will be no services. Taylor-Vandale Funeral Home, Spencer, is in charge of arrangements.

Eva M. Jones Fox, 89, of Sandyville, formerly of Private Avenue, Parkersburg, passed away Feb. 25, 2005, at the home of her caregivers, James and Paulette Ledbetter.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Sunset Memorial Funeral Home is assisting the family with cremation arrangements.

Warter Goodrich, 57, of Normantown, W.Va., departed this life at 9:40 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 25, 2005, at his residence following an extended illness.
He was born Feb. 27, 1947, in Calhoun County, a son of the late Ottie and Birtie Parson Goodrich. He was a self-employed timberman and a baptist by faith.
Dorman L. Henthorn
Dorman L. Henthorn, 83, of Spencer passed into the arms of his Lord and Savior on Feb. 25, 2005, at the Roane General Hospital after a three-year battle with cancer.
He was born Dec. 31, 1921, in Spencer, a son of the late Ovie and Mary Jane Boggs Henthorn. He was a member of the Alexander Baptist Church, a World War II veteran, a member of the Laborers Union 1085, and after his retirement from the West Virginia Department of Highways, he greatly enjoyed farming with his son, Don, and grandson, Jason.
Thelma A. Lowther
Thelma Ann Lowther, 83, of St. Marys passed away Feb. 26, 2005, at Eagle Pointe Nursing Home, Parkersburg.
She was born April 29, 1922, in Ravenna, Ohio, the daughter of the late George and Carrie Lansinger Simon. She was a resident of Pleasants County Area since the late 1940's. She was many things to many people. She was a jewel of many facets: a loving mother, an active, faithful church member of St. John's Catholic Church, an outgoing community volunteer and activist. She shared a full and productive life.
Constance M. Mars
Constance M. "Connie" Mars, 92, formerly of Little Hocking, Ohio, died Feb. 26, 2005, at Hospice Care Center in Akron, Ohio.
She was born Jan. 31, 1913, in Coolville, Ohio, a daughter of the late Harry and Emily Creesy Walden. Connie worked as a cook at the Little Hocking School for over 30 years and attended the Little Hocking United Methodist Church for many years. She was also a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and was active in the guild in both Coolville and Little Hocking.
