Paul E. King, 81, of King's Drive, Beverly, Ohio, died Thursday, April 28, 2005, at Marietta Memorial Hospital.
He was born Aug. 3, 1923, in Monroe County, Ohio, a son of Lloyd and Edith Ring King. He had owned King's Furniture in Beverly for 45 years. He had also owned and operated King's Nationwide Insurance Agency for 42 years. He graduated from Woodsfield High School. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II in the South Pacific. He was a member of the St. Bernard Catholic Church and the Russell Chadwick American Legion Post 389 in Beverly. He was a charter member of the Muskingum Valley Area Chamber of Commerce.

Thelma Evans Oldham, 97, of Ripley passed away Wednesday, April 27, 2005, at St. Joseph's Hospital, following a sudden illness.
She was born Dec. 11, 1907, at Aplin Ridge, a daughter of the late William and Nita Waybright Evans. She was a homemaker and former owner of the Highway Motel in Ripley.

Gusty Daniel Snyder, 82, of Belpre died Wednesday, April 27, 2005, at St. Joseph's Hospital.
He was born in Wood County, a son of the late Daniel and Lottie Greathouse Snyder on Dec. 10, 1922. He retired from the B&O Railroad as a trackman and machine operator. He was a Protestant by faith.

Fern Gainer Stutler, 93, of Parkersburg passed away Wednesday, April 27, 2005, at Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital.
She was born Nov. 29, 1911, a daughter of the late Okey and Dottie F. Cooper Gainer. She was a Methodist by faith. She lived her early life in Gilmer County, W.Va. She graduated from Tanner High School in 1933 and was a charter member of Tanner Pythian Sisters Temple 68. She lived her later life near Cleveland, Ohio. She worked for The May Co. and Sears & Roebuck Co. She retired in 1974 after 10 years employment with B.L. Marble Furniture Corp. in Bedford, Ohio.

Emerson F. "Frankie" Tallman, 68, of Pennsboro, W.Va., passed away Wednesday, April 27, 2005, in Columbus, Ohio.
Mr. Tallman was born Sept. 9, 1936, at Grafton, W.Va., to the late William E. and Bessie M. Andrews Tallman. He was a truck driver for 19 years for Frank Lambert Trucking, Ellenboro, W.Va., and Norman Jackson Trucking, Pennsboro. He graduated from Tyler County High School with the Class of 1955. He was a 1968 graduate of Salem College, with a degree in business administration. He was a member of the Rainbow Grange 527, Beason, W.Va., and a member of the Pennsboro United Methodist Church, Pennsboro.

Ava N. Kemp, 87, of Love & Care, Parkersburg, formerly of Dayton, Ohio, passed away April 27, 2005, at Heartland in Marietta.
She was born March 25, 1918, in Pleasants County, W.Va., a daughter of the late Archie B. and Anna Feeney Kemp. She graduated from Pennsboro High School Class of 1936 and was a graduate of Mountain State College in Parkersburg. She was retired from Wright Patterson Air Force Base, Dayton after 40 years of service. She was a member of the Belpre Church of Christ.
Goldie V. Kittle
Goldie V. Kittle passed away Tuesday, April 26, 2005, at Ravenswood Care Center.
She was born Aug. 30, 1908, at Leroy, W.Va., to Henry M. and Alice Hertje Kittle. She was a graduate of Wirt County High School in Elizabeth in 1934 and from Glenville State Teachers College in 1942. She taught school for 42 years in Jackson and Wirt County serving the last 32 years at Elizabeth Elementary School. She retired in 1973. Upon her retirement, an annex to the Elizabeth Elementary School was dedicated to Ms. Kittle's name in her honor. She was a 60 year member of the Eastern Star, Wirt Chapter 113.

Judith A. Lowther, 63, of Parkersburg departed this life in peace to be with our Lord on Tuesday, April 26, 2005, after a brief illness.
She was born in Wood County on Feb. 22, 1942, a daughter of the late Fielding P. and Ella M. Varner Metz. She was a 1960 graduate of Parkersburg High School and worked at E.I. Dupont Co., and was a Christian and loyal member of the Baptist Temple in Parkersburg.

Garrett Scott Mcllwee, infant son of Scott Bee and Theresa Marie McCarthy Mcllwee of Weldon Drive, Boonsboro, Md., died Friday, April 22, 2005, at University of Maryland Hospital in Baltimore, Md.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by maternal grandparents, John and Marlene McCarthy of Parkersburg; paternal grandparents, Carolyn and Eddie Johnson of Ijamsville, Md., and Cappy and Jeanette Mcllwee of Sharpsburg, Md.; maternal great-grandparents, Harvey and Margie Hite of Florida; and paternal great-grandmother, Gloria Johnson of Florida.
