She was a member of the Lubeck Community Baptist Church and was formerly a Starduster Square dancer.

He was born May 2, 1937, in Charleston, W.Va., a son of late Henry L. and Nola May Matheson Taylor. He was retired from Smith Concrete as a truck driver and a member of the AFL-CIO.
