Mary was born May 19, 1966, in New Martinsville, the daughter of Eva Irene Loy Johnson of New Martinsville and the late Richard W. Johnson Sr. She was a certified nursing assistant for Panhandle Support Service and attended the Church of the Nazarene of New Martinsville.

He was born March 21, 1920, in Marietta, to Robert and Ella Wagner Wark.
Jackie L. Benson
Jackie (Jack) L. Benson, 73, of Washington, W.Va., passed away Dec. 15, 2005, at his residence.
He was born Aug. 29, 1932, in Ravenswood, W.Va., a son of the late William C. and Carrie B. Ashley Benson. He attended vocational school to be an aircraft mechanic at Parkersburg High School, worked at Glen L. Martin Inc. in Baltimore, Md., in 1951 and joined the Air Force in 1952. Jack started the Benson Welding Shop with William C. Benson and Robert W. Benson in 1960 and incorporated it into Benson Truck Bodies in 1975, manufacturing road coal haulers and truck bodies. He was also one of the founders and directors of the United Livestock Sales in Mineral Wells; one of the founders and directors of the Bank of Lubeck; one of the founders and directors of J&B Trailers and Truck Bodies in Larkmead, W.Va.; one of the founders of the Westwood Land Development; and founder of JDB Aluminum Fabricating Inc. of Washington, W.Va. Jack was a member of the FOE Aerie 2307, supported the Boy Scouts, and enjoyed hunting, fishing and his pets.

Richard C. Burton
Richard C. Burton, 92, of Parkersburg passed away Dec. 14, 2005, at Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital.
He was born Jan. 3, 1913, in Windy, W.Va., a son of the late Frank and Fadelia Wright Burton. He retired from Viscose in 1974 after 35 years with the company. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II serving with the Alaskan Defense command. He was a member of Seventh Street United Methodist Church where he had served as a trustee on the Administrative Board and was head usher for many years.

Lily Noreen Davidson, 82, of Parkersburg passed away Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2005, at St. Joseph's Hospital.
She was born in Parkersburg on April 1, 1923, a daughter of the late Oak and Velma Knopp Taylor. She was retired after 35 years of service with Parkersburg Steel and was affiliated with Unity Faith Chapel.

Wayne Eugene Freeman, 87, of Ripley died Dec. 15, 2005.
He was a lifelong resident of Jackson County, residing on the farm he was raised on and in the house where he was born.

Nannie Malissa Smith Harper, 100, of Ripley passed away Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2005, at Jackson General Hospital.
She was born March 15, 1905, at Elkview, a daughter of the late Clark Greene and Cora Elizabeth Combs Smith. She was a homemaker, a professional quilter and demonstrator at the Charleston Culture Center and the Mountain State Art and Craft Fair. She was a member of the RACA Quilters, the Clay Lick Methodist Church and the Ladies Aide Society.

Donald E. Buchanan, 85, of Reedsville, Ohio, died Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2005, at Arcadia Nursing Center, Coolville, Ohio.
He was born April 19, 1920, in Reedsville, Ohio, a son of the late John and Mary Reed Buchanan. He was an Army veteran of World War II, a retired laborer for Union Carbide and a lifetime member of the Tuppers Plains V.F.W. Post 9053.

Alberta Marsh Coffman, a resident of The Inn at Marietta in Marietta, Ohio, and formerly of Clarksburg, W.Va., passed from this life Monday, Dec. 12, 2005, at Marietta Memorial Hospital.
Alberta was born Jan. 18, 1919, in Salem, W.Va., the daughter of Albert L. Marsh and Mary Virginia Brinkley Marsh. She graduated from Salem High School and from the W.Va. Business College. She also attended Salem College. Prior to being married, Alberta worked for the Hope Natural Gas Company. She married Frank Haymaker Coffman on July 7, 1946. She worked with her husband at Wells-Haymaker Drug Store, and after retirement returned to work as a public relations representative for the Clarksburg TV Cable Company.
