He was born June 4, 1922, in Marietta, a son of the late Frank and Elsa Kindsman Hock. He was raised on Phillips Street and graduated from Marietta High and Marietta College.
Sister Frances Holzberger
Sister Frances Teresa Holzberger, P.C.J., died Sunday, Dec. 4, 2005, at Mohun Health Care Center, where she had been a resident since August 2000.
Sister was born on Jan. 21, 1911, in Furth, Bavaria,Germany, to the late Thomas and Theresa Holzberger. At the age of 14, Sister left her native country and came to the United States with her parents residing in Parkersburg. On Sept. 8, 1927, she entered the Congregation of the Poor Child Jesus at St. Raphael's Convent, the Provincial Motherhouse.

George Samuel Houck, 87, of Parkersburg died Dec. 5, 2005, at the Worthington Manor.
He was born Nov. 27, 1918, in Wood County, a son of the late John Emery and Georgia Reeder Houck. He retired from RCA as an electrical engineer and formerly worked for General Electric. He graduated from Ohio University with a bachelor of arts degree in electrical engineering. He was also a member of the Medford United Methodist Church in Medford, N.J.

She was born at Grantsville, W.Va., a daughter of the late Earnest and Pearl Harden Crawford.

He was born April 7, 1951, in Parkersburg, a son of the late Charles C. and Lula G. Thomas Kesterson.
Charles R. McIntyre
Charles R. "Babe" "Moon" McIntyre, 65, of Parkersburg passed away Saturday, Dec. 3, 2005, at Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital.
He was born Sept. 1, 1940, in Parkersburg, a son of the late James and Marie Rowina Chapman McIntyre. He was retired from the W.Va. Department of Highways and had worked at Badger Lumber. He attended the Broadway Church of the Nazarene, was an Army veteran and was a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles and V.F.W. Post 1212.

Lester M. Ritchie, 78, of Williamstown went to be with the Lord and his son on Dec. 4, 2005.
He was born Sept. 3, 1927, in Marietta, a son of the late Leslie D. Ritchie and Myrtle M. Shears Ritchie. He was retired from Airolite Co., Marietta, in 1990 after 40 years of service. He was a member of the Mt. Pleasant (Burnt Hill) United Methodist Church. He was an avid guitar player and sang gospel music with the Ritchie Family.

Nellie Mae Wilson, 72, of Belmont, W.Va., died Dec. 5, 2005, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Parkersburg.
She was born April 30, 1933, in Sistersville, W.Va., a daughter of the late Clarence E. and Hazel Haught Gorrell. She was a member of the George Street Church of Christ in St. Marys, a 1951 graduate of Sistersville High School, and her hobbies included playing the mandolin, the harpsichord and working jigsaw puzzles.

Edward L. Brannon, 89, of Walker, W.Va., passed away Dec. 1, 2005, at Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital.
He was born Nov. 11, 1916, in Grafton, W.Va., a son of the late William I. and Alta Curry Brannon. Ed was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Ben Bay Grotto, VFW Post 1212, American Legion Post 15 and DAV Chapter 6.

He was born May 10, 1957, in Parkersburg, a son of the late Pearl "Joe" and Mary Nelson Mackey.

Charles R. ("Babe") ("Moon") McIntyre, 66, of Parkersburg passed away Dec. 3, 2005, at Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital.
Denzil L. Prather
Denzil L. Prather, 84, of Belpre passed away Dec. 2, 2005, at Marietta Memorial Hospital.
He was born in Elizabeth, W.Va., on March 18, 1921, a son of the late Hugh and Deborah Lewis Prather. He graduated from Elizabeth High School in 1938. He attended Potomac State College from 1938 until 1940. He was a pilot in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. He served with the 801st/492nd Bombardment Group (known as the "Carpetbaggers") of the 8th Air Force. He completed 30 missions, flying Consolidated B24 Liberators. He attained the rank of 1st Lieutenant. While in the service, he received numerous decorations, including the Distinguished Flying Cross, Campaign Medal with five Bronze Stars and the Air Medal with three Oak Clusters. The 801st/492nd Bombardment Group was issued the Croix de Guerre from the French government. He served in Northern France, Rhineland, Ardennes, Central Europe and Normandy.
Donald J. Wagner
Donald J. Wagner, 88, of Bens Run, W.Va., died Dec. 4, 2005, at Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital, Parkersburg.
He was born Sept. 17, 1917, in Pleasants County, W.Va., a son of the late Harvey and Ona Belle Smith Wagner. In his earlier years, he was a timberman, had hauled produce and worked at the Arvilla Store. He had been employed by the W.Va. State Road, and with his late wife, owned and operated the Big W Restaurant at Bens Run.
