CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Dr. Walter Graham Bullington, 66, of Charlotte, formerly of St. Albans, died Monday, April 13, 1998, in Cannon Memorial Hospital, Banner Elk, N.C.
He was a graduate of St. Albans High School, West Virginia University, West Virginia University of Medicine, and Medical College of Virginia, Richmond, Va. He practiced ophthalmology at Charlotte Ophthalmology Clinic for 33 years. He was a member of American Medical Association, North Carolina/South Carolina Medical Society, Mecklenburg County Medical Society, Southern Medical Society, American Academy of Ophthalmology, and the Society of Ophthalmology. He was a member of Providence United Methodist Church, an Air Force veteran and was a member of the Alliance of Air National Guard Flight Surgeons and the Quiet Birdmens. He was a former governor of the North Carolina Central District of Optimist International and was a member and past president of Providence Optimist Club.

He was a 14-year member of Bucyrus County Rotary Club and served several years on the board of directors of the Bucyrus County Chamber of Commerce.
