She was retired general supply supervisor from Rutgers Medical School, Green Bank, N.J., 1997 WIC Volunteer of the Year, a member of Our Lady of Mount Virgin Church, president of the Altar Rosary Society, president of the Elks Ladies Auxiliary 2301, Middlesex, and was communion minister of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Mount Dora, Fla. Surviving: sons, John Hanna of Charleston, Robert Hanna of Belle Mead, N.J., Martin Hanna of Lindenhurst, Ill., Timothy Hanna of Racine, Wis.; sister, Kathryn McNamee of Yonkers, N.Y.; brother, Jack Daley of Leesburg, Fla.; seven grandchildren. OAK HILL -- William Edward "Bill" Meador of Oak Hill, died Thursday, May 7, 1998, at home after a short illness. He was a vice president and general manager for the Long Company. He was on the executive board of directors for the National Coal Association and was on the board of directors of One Valley Bank, Oak Hill, the American Mining Congress, the West Virginia Coal Association and the Kanawha Valley and Tug Valley mining institutes. He was a graduate of Mullens High School and Virginia Polytechnic Institute. He was a Baptist and an Army veteran, having been a member of the 101st Airborne Division. Surviving: wife, Wanda Cafego Meador; sons, William Edward Meador II of Birmingham, Ala., Eric D. Meador of Summersville; grandchildren; Jeremy, William and Ian Meador, all of Birmingham. Service will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Oak Hill Baptist Church with the Rev. Bill Menefee officiating. Burial will be in High Lawn Memorial Park, Oak Hill. She was a retired chef from the Union Carbide Cafeteria, Institute, and was a former chef at the Woodrum Tea Room, Charleston. She was former president of the Ladies Auxiliary of St. Albans American Legion Post 73, a member of the VFW Auxiliary 6318, St. Albans Women of the Moose Lodge 868, St. Albans Women's Club, Department of Community Service and the Ostemey Club. Surviving: daughter, Martha J.
