Raymond Clyde Griffis, 70, of South Charleston died Sunday, May 10, 1998, at home after a short illness.
He was vice president of Express Lube and Oil, South Charleston, was a retired supervisor from Union Carbide with 35 years of service, a member of Masonic Lodge 168, South Charleston, Scottish Rite Bodies and the Shrine. He was a lifelong resident of the Kanawha Valley.

He was a Baptist, a lifelong resident of Putnam County, member of Masonic Lodge 16, Ripley, an Army veteran, was a very active member of the Republican Party and honorary mayor of Liberty.
