She was a member of the Darlington United Methodist Church, South Charleston, and attended Baber Agee United Methodist CHurch, Rocky Fork. James H. Vealey, 72, of South Charleston died Saturday, Dec. 20, 1997, in Thomas Memorial Hospital after an apparent heart attack. He was a native of Burnwell, a retired maintenance manager from the former Daniel Boone Hotel, an employee of the former FMC Ordnance Plant, South Charleston, and was an Air Force veteran. Surviving: wife, Mary Vealey; sons, Gerald of Beaver, James of Little Rock, Ark., Joe of South Charleston, David of Mobile, Ala., Randy of Morgantown, Ralph of South Charleston; 10 grandchildren; one great-grandson. Private family graveside service was Tuesday at Cunningham Memorial Park, St. Albans. Good Shepherd Mortuary, South Charleston, was in charge of arrangements.

Donna Sullivan Wallace, 104, of Hopewell, Va. formerly of Charleston,died Monday, Dec. 22, 1997, in Hopewell Convalescent Center after a long illness. She was a retired clerk for Piece Goods Shops, a former employee of the of the A.W. Cox Department Store and a member of the First Church of Nazerene of Hopewell. Surviving: daughter, Mary Gale Richmond of Fountain Hills, Ariz.; son, Charles Lee Wallace of Hopewell, Va.; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren. FAYETTEVILLE -- Eugene Howard Watts, 85, of Fayetteville died Saturday, Dec. 20, 1997, in Plateau Medical Center, Oak Hill, after a long illness. He was a self-employed electronics repairman. Watts Jr. of Charleston, Tyrone Watts of Minden, Mark Parks of Delaware; daughters, Brenda Brown and Diane Laster, of Delaware, Janice Jones of Texas; brother, William Patterson of East Orange, N.J.; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. FENTON, Mo. -- Wesley Truman Whaley, 75, of Fenton died Monday, Dec. 22, 1997, in Fenton. He was born in South Charleston, W.Va., and was a Marine Corps veteran. He was a retired special agent with the FBI with 28 years of service, and was in charge of the St. Louis office of the FBI from 1973 to 1975. Surviving: wife, Betty C.; daughter, Christie Whaley; sons, Michael and Scott Whaley. Memorial service will be 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Schrader Funeral Home Chapel, Ballwin, with the Rev. Thomas C. Pfizenmaier officiating. The body has been cremated. Friends may call a half-hour prior to service at the funeral home. The family suggests donations be sent to the Alzheimer's Association.

Selba Sattis Wetherholt, 83, of Sissonville died Wednesday, Dec. 24, 1997, at home after a long illness. He was a retired shift superintendant with the Union Carbide Plant, Institute. He was a 50 year member of the Ripley Masonic Lodge 16 and of the Aldersgate United Methodist Church, Pocatalico. He was a native of Jackson County and a graduate of Sissonville High School.
