Ronald E. Morrison
Ronald Edward Morrison, 69, of Pratt died Wednesday, Dec. 24, 1997, at home after a long illness.
He was retired senior staff engineer and manager for American Electric Power Corp. with 40 years of service, chairman of the board for the American Coal Ash Association from 1985 to 1987 and served on the executive board from 1967 to 1985. He was a member of Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd, Hansford, where he served on the vestry. He was president of New River Cluster of the Episcopal Churches. He was a graduate of West Virginia Tech, Montgomery, attended University of Michigan's graduate school of business administration, and was a member of Sigma Phi Epsiolon Fraternity. He was a member of Coal Valley Lodge #74, Montgomery, Montgomery Chapter #47 Royal Arch Masons, Mount Hope Commandory 022 Knight Templar, Kanawha Chapter 38 Order of the Eastern Star, a charter member of Pratt Lions Club, and was an Air Force veteran.

Donald Ray Rimer, 51, of Charleston died Wednesday, Dec. 24, 1997, in CAMC, General Division, after a short illness.
He was a decorated Army veteran and was a prisoner of war during the Vietnam War. He attended First Advent Christian Church, Charleston.

MCGRAW -- Robert Lee Smith, 28, of McGraws was dead on arrival Thursday, Dec. 25, 1997, at Raleigh General Hospital, said a hospital spokeswoman. The cause of death was an apparent suicide, she said.
He was a former landscaping employee in Baltimore and a member of Global Church of God, Bluefield.

He was a member of First Baptist Church, Hurricane, where he was a former head usher and past president of American Baptist Men, Teays Valley Association and the choir. He was retired from Union Carbide, South Charleston, with 43 years' service. He was a Navy veteran of World War II, a 50-year resident of Hurricane, a former member of the Putnam County Board of Education and a member of Putnam Masonic Lodge 139 and the Eastern Star, Hurricane.

She attended Southern Methodist University, where she was a member of Delta Delta Delta sorority. She was a graduate of Concord College, Athens, W.Va., and received a master's degree from the University of North Carolina, Wilmington.
