MOTT, N.D. -- Mable "Mae" Snezek, 82, of Mott died Tuesday, Dec. 23, 1997, in West River Regional Medical Center, Hettinger, N.D. She was employed at Hopemont Tuberculosis Sanitorium and worked for the Marriott Brothers, Washington, D.C., during World War II. She was a bookkeeper at various country clubs and a volunteer at Motor Service Volunteer and the Red Cross. She was employed as a home health worker in Mott. Surviving: daughter, Pat Olien of Mott; sisters, Mamie Turlington of Waldork, Md., Willena Wade of Roanoke, Va.; three grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Graveside service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Williams Family Cemetery, Billy's Creek, Lincoln County, with Pastor Oshel Bell officiating. He was a retired salesman for Electrolux, an Army veteran of World War II, member of Glenville VFW Post 5469, and a Protestant. He was a retired Navy Senior Chief Petty Officer, a veteran of the Vietnam War and Operation Desert Storm, and a graduate of Stonewall Jackson High School, Charleston. High School and Hampden Sydney College, a member of Iota Delta and Chi Phi fraternities, and was an Army veteran of World War II. He received his training in obstetrics and gynecology at Johns Hopkins, Union Memorial and Lutheran hospitals, Baltimore, and practiced in Charleston, Bluefield, W.Va., Virginia Beach and Lexington. He was a faculty member of Eastern Virginia Medical School, Norfolk, a Rotarian and a member of Grace Presbyterian Church, Lexington.
