Brown; daughters Yvonne Shannon of Charleston, Sharon Stowers of Florence, Ala.; mother, Letty Corns of Sissonville; sister, Betty Jane Genter of Titusville, Fla.; brothers, Frankie and David Corns of Richmond, Va., Ronnie Corns of St. Albans; four grandchildren. He was a member of Bethany Freewill Baptist Church, Winterville, and was retired from Service Roofing Co., Greenville, a sister company of Tri-State Roofing Co., Nitro, W.Va. Surviving: wife, Elizabeth S. Carte; daughter, Sarah Carte at home; son, Jason at home; sisters, Kay Siders of Elkview, Kathy Phillips of Malvern, Ohio, Lynn Shamblin of Amma, W.Va.; brother, William of Elkview. Olive Jane Alderman Coiner, 94, of Ravenswood died Monday, Dec. 29, 1997, at Ravenswood Village after a long illness. She was a retired floor supervisor from Rose Marie Swimwear, Van Nuys, Calif., and is preceded in death by her son, Randall Eugene Coiner. Surviving: sons, William H. Coiner of Sumerco, W.Va., Jack Coiner of Ravenswood; daughter, Betty Smith of Ocala, Fla.; six grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren. She was former manager of the cafeteria at the Union Carbide Tech Center and was a Baptist. Surviving: daughters, Margaret Bearse of Roanoke, Mary Light of Laurel, Md.; sisters, Charlotte Bowers of Dunbar, W.Va., Margaret Nafe of Charleston; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
